There is no checklist, qualification, beauty, intelligence, wisdom or wealth, that can add up to all that simply falling in love accomplishes.
No matter how high and dry the wood is piled, without a spark there will be no fire, simply potential.
If this character were to actually get married, I'm not sure it would have anything to do with love.

The strange intimacy schedule is telling of a deeper issue. Perhaps there is a wound that needs healing and has not been addressed properly (5 cats) leading her to keep emotional/sexual intimacy at arms length, due to the fear of getting hurt during any feeling of vulnerability. I'm going to be honest with you, I do agree with what you say, but I firmly believe that God has no intention of having us falling in love and spending our lives with someone we have no physical attraction too. I don't mean that to sound shallow or anything like that, it just seems common sense to me.
