My 10-year-old self would say,
"Gosh you're tall... and hairy."

My 10 year old self would be glad I am still alive, and fighting. Oh, and also that people do not call me a "weirdo" anymore. :)

But would I want to look at my 10 year old self?

I think not.

My 10-year-old self might be disappointed that I didn't grow up to marry Luke Skywalker, Superman (Christopher Reeve!!), or the Christian camp counselor I had a huge crush on during the summers. He was so good-looking that he could have easily been part of a famous boy band (and he liked to sing, so it was fitting.)

I would tell her though, that as you get older, you find out that even your biggest heroes are still human, and that years later, she will run into that gorgeous camp counselor again on social media. This time, he'd be a middle-aged married dad of all boys who sings in a barbershop quartet, and she would see how much life (and her perspective of it) can change over time.

I know she'd be disappointed that I'm not married with a family, but I'd tell her that no matter where God takes me, I've never left her behind, and hopefully, I never will.

Who calls a 10 year old a weirdo (except other 10 year olds maybe, in which case I'd like to see their response to this thread)?

My 10 year old self would say that I'm as stubborn and independent as ever. He would also be thrilled with the fact that our love of sports has not waned. XD

How would your 10 year old self feel about you now? Like if your self at 10 years old could see you right now...do you think he/she would be disappointed or happy with how your life is?
Do you think he/she would want you to change anything? Or do you think they would be surprised at how well you turned out to be? ;)

I'm trying to think about my 10 year old self and how I was back then. Definitely immature, like any other 10 year old, but I was a Christian. So I think I would be happy that I am involved with church and have a good relationship with Jesus. But I don't think I would be too happy that I have problems being social. Ironically my 10 year old self was very friendly and talkative. It wasn't until 5th grade (age 11) that I starting becoming more reserved and socially awkward.

So yeah...let me know what y'all think...it's just a fun discussion thread. :)

I feel the same Molly. I would be really really disappointed with myself. This is not the kind of life I have envisioned for myself when I was 10.

my 10 yr old self. i'm trying to remember lol. i think she would be proud that i made it through some tough times, and i am now joyful again as i was as a kid.

she would probably be surprised i'm not married lol. she would probably not like the fact that i didn't socialize more during my teen/college years. as a kid, i wasn't a social butterfly, but i always loved helping others, so she probably wouldn't be happy that i lost some of that.

WOW....my 10 year old self would ask me certain questions such as why haven't you learned your gentle caring spirit always hurts you? She would also ask me to play with and love my baby bro more at that age, because little did I know I'd lose him so early. She would certainly be pleased that I continue to be adventurous and embrace my kid like spirit while sharing it with my own children. I know she would ask me why I am not married, but then would understand. And she would tell me to go see Australia as I have been dreaming about it forever. She would be very pleased I live on the ocean and have a giant loving dog!

Hmmm, I think my 10 year old self would be pretty excited that I never lost my love of life and still like to play games, enjoy hiking and nature, and I'm still not scared of bugs, lol. She'd probably laugh at how I ended up having 3 boys and only 1 girl. I always thought I'd have more girls than boys..actually I think my sister said she would have 4-6 kids and I was only gonna have 2...we reversed that..so 10 yr old me would laugh a lot at that and be glad I'm not crazy from having that many kiddos ;)

My ten year old self would be disappointed I no longer have horses, but would admire the fact that the shy person I used to be can be more outspoken.

10 year old me... Wow.

10 year old me was... eeeevil. Silly, but evil.
10 year old me would be impressed with my skill set, but I'm certain she'd think I'm a goody two shoes, and probably a little boring.

and then upon hearing that I am not yet married my ten year old self would shake his head, walk away and go back to playing with legos being disappointed in me.

Question: What is worse than a 10-year old hyperactive Viking?

Answer: A 10-year old hyperactive Viking with a sword.

The sword we can handle.

It's the horned helmet that raises our eyebrows.

And we're totally judging you for it.

Wow, this thread has brought back memories as to how I was as a child. The best way to describe is that I had a very active imagination. I had my own universe that I lived in, when I was on my own I was in that universe so I guess he would ask me, why am I not there anymore? Or why am I not creating universes? In adult terms, why am I not writing?

ha ha, so we can talk to our ten year old self? I would tell my ten year old self "listen to me, things are going to be ok but you have to do exactly what I tell you. Repeat it over and over. Work at xxx place and do not spend any of it, not even on these two girls you are going to be madly in love with. Wait for steve jobs to come back to AAPL. Take all the money and buy AAPL at 7 dollars a share. Do not sell until you hit 2 million dollars. Also buy a cpu and keep googling bitcoin until it shows up, download it.....farm them, and buy up all you can...... at least 10,000 of them at $1 and do not sell them until they are $1000 dollars each. Buy mom a yacht and give 75% of whatever is left to charity. If you do this, you can play all the video games you want for ever and ever"

My ten year old self would trust me because I always wondered what my future self would be like when I was young :p. Might as well start calling me Biff.
