I used to watch shows like Bridezillas, My Fair Wedding and Say Yes to the Dress, thinking that I needed everything all those women had for their weddings. But as I grew closer to God, I realized that those things were not necessary and in fact could strain a marriage financially in the long run! Why would I want to get a horse-drawn carriage, when we could use that money on a house or a car payment? It does seem silly to me now, I guess I have matured! 
Now I hardly watch those shows and when I do, I sometimes wonder if the brides really are in love. Do they really know what marriage means? That love means sacrifice? Most of the time, I figure they don't know what they are in for.
So the perfect marriage for me would be a white dress, my family, and most importantly the man God has for me. That's about it. I don't even need food, it we're that financially strained. I do want cake though!

That's funny! My aunt who is about 20 years older than us told me the same thing about Fonzie.
My brother had the Woody doll as a child, even though I would take it from him and make him Barbie's boyfriend (I never really liked Ken) but eventually it got beat up, old and dirty so mom threw it away. Then when I was 18 I got the same Woody doll for Christmas from the Disney store. Best gift ever! I have him put up so it won't get dirty this time

I'm not sure if I overstated this - but I have read that people with a strict view of relationships (especially from a sexual manner - and cohabitation is frowned on because having sex is assumed by extension) in this climate, tend to have a more rocky time with it.
