I have this problem too. It all started in 7th grade when my friends talked about girls and naked girls so much, I thought whats so special in looking at naked girls then i was hooked ive been trying to stop and now im in 9th grade. Ive tried talking to God but i feel no difference and everytime i do anything porn related i always feel bad afterwards but i still end up doing it again. Its like even do i know its bad i get this urge that im missing something that leads to porn and all it counterparts. How do I stop?

I've had the same issue, and finally gotten rid of it. My best suggestion to you is to BLOCK, all the sites. But this won't do you any good if you aren't motivated enough to go through with it. The motivation that led me to stop was my love for God.

Norton Family is free and works well.

Know that God loves you despite this, but are you willing to show your love back to Him by stopping?

Porn addiction should have its own forum. I remember how desporate I was trying to find accountability partners and help. I felt so alone and depressed. Even felt like God was giving up on me. If anybody wants tips or help Im happy to try my best and answer any questions. There is no easy way to beat it. I had to not touch computer or internet phone. Still dont have an internet phone just incase. If your computer causes you to sin throw it in the bin!

It's a great idea to avoid situations where the temptation is overwhelming. But where there is a will, there is a way. As a previous poster mentioned, they could disable the software blocking the inappropriate content. I'm not saying such options shouldn't be used. But it's most important to address the root of the problem, within.

Talking about it and admitting it's a problem is a great first step, along with the realization there are things we can't handle on our own. And we need God's help to overcome. Another important thing is not to allow guilt to interfere with our faith that God and others love us in spite of our struggles. That's how sin binds us, making us believe we are not worthy of love and acceptance.

I wonder why people are still giving advice to this girl. She said within a day or two of this posting she wasn't addicted after all. I knew she wasn't addicted just by reading her first post. She had only looked at porn a few times. That's not an addict. So yeah, she realized this conclusion on her own right away. And there are already 100 threads on the subject up anyways. So its not as if you're giving information that isn't already out there umpteen times.

i battled the porn deamon before. you wont be able to do it without God and Jesus involved. Get to know them from the bible develop a relationship with them. God is your father and he will see you through it. Stand and fight the deamon covered in the blood of Jesus Christ he wont stand a chance
Honestly brother, you just painted an EPIC picture in my head! Thanks :D

It's dangerous to be alone.
Look for someone that you are comfortable with and you can trust about these things, preferably a Christian mentor...
and pray!

I am struggling with this, too. Well, not totally porn but in relation to nudity and sexual inclinations.
Though thank God, little by little it's going away.
Don't forget to surrender it to the Lord, this is the most important part. When I first struggle with it I almost gave up since
I was fighting it on my own, thinking that I can control myself (the worst lie of my life, for we can never really handle ourselves on our own.).

"Phil. 1:6" Don't ever lose the fight, you're not alone on this one. :)

That doesn't sound like much of a vice to me, though I certainly could be wrong. I least Porn isn't like alcohol when you destroy your liver, most people grow out of it.
