By that reasoning we should never watch telly, never listen to the wireless and never read any books. We should probably lock ourselves in a church and never expose ourselves to the outside world either. It's bad out there.
I don't lock myself in a church... but I kinda stopped watching TV, takes up too much time that I prefer to spend with other people. I only listen to Praise 106.5 and the news. I'm reading Pilgrim's Progress but then, I'm the type that likes reading Milton, C.S. Lewis, and the like... so lol But there are alternatives that don't involve locking oneself in a church! ^.^

Edit: it's like choosing to be a vegetarian!

are you saying this makes it right? - just wonderin.
No, just even though bad things happen in the world, that shouldn't stop us enjoying the good.

I like both family guy and south park - i do think they are rather funny but if something does come up on my screen that am not happy about i.e taking the lords name in vain - i flick the channel over for a minute or go to the kitchen for a drink - i love them both though :)
Aye, that's fair enough, I think we're probably on the same page. Of course there are things with which I dissaprove of in South Park, but that does not remove the genuine humour and clever script, which is why I enjoy watching it.

So, you're like vegan and partially not by choice! lol

I like how people in the UK call the radio "wireless." I keep thinking you and Maddog are referring to WiFi lol

I stopped watching South Park completely after they made those shows about Jesus - You know the ones that show Him parading around w/ a machine gun killing people - Yeah, I suddenly didnt find the show that funny after that. I still watch Family Guy from time to time =) alot of the show arent that bad, especially some of the older episodes, but if I do end up watching one that is bad I just turn it off. I'm starting to prefer drama's like Grey's Anatomy more and more.

I enjoy south park more than I do family guy, because south park is always relevent and has a way of poking fun at pop culture, politics etc etc giving it a sort of cartoonish treatment.

it's sort of like if the looney toons met the news.

Ya I propbably watched about every show of family guy and quite a few of south park. After I became a Christian though, I felt the Lord telling me not to watch those shows.

I mean I dont know how many times they blasphemed Christ. On one epesode they referd to the second coming and made Jesus look like a tiny man. And another time it showed God with a couple of women turning water into wine. both shows make fun of the Jews who are Gods chosen people.
They both are perverted ;so perverse that its almonst not even funny.

Her is a question to ask Would Jesus sit down and watch those shows with you? Could you watch a show were they were making fun of you. Just something to think about.

I used to watch family guy, I own the first 3 seasons. I haven't seen it in forever, I thought it was pretty funny. As for South Park. I think that they take it WAY to far it is simply vulgar over load. Not a fan of south park.

I think you just don't like it because of the Canadians' flapping heads...

I like them both, though I prefer other comedy shows.

30 Rock and The Office are my two favourite current comedy shows. Lol a funny Christianity-related quote from 30 Rock.

Jack: ...let me ask you a question, Kenneth. If Mr. Bright here told you to vote Republican, would you do it?
Kenneth: Oh, uh, no, sir. I don't vote Republican or Democrat. Choosing is a sin, so I always just write in the Lord's name!
Jack: That's Republican. We count those.
Lol!
