I'm looking for fellow artists to connect with and share some art, tips and techniques for both traditional and digital artistry, from pencil to paint, and from paint.net to Photoshop pro and farther.
I'd like to make it sort of an artistry group if at all possible, so shoot me a message here, or on deviantART my username is Diachrome.

[from from DeviantART's 'about us' page:]
deviantART was created to entertain, inspire, and empower the artist in all of us. Founded in August 2000, deviantART is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts with over 19 million registered members, attracting 45 million unique visitors per month.

As a community destination, deviantART is a platform that allows emerging and established artists to exhibit, promote, and share their works within a peer community dedicated to the arts. The site's vibrant social network environment receives over 100,000 daily uploads of original art works ranging from traditional media, such as painting and sculpture, to digital art, pixel art, films and anime.
[end citation]

Using deviantART, you can also sell your own artwork for cash, or deviantART points with which you can buy other art, upgrades to your account, and other nifty artsy things.

If you dont have a deviantART account (they're free for basic accounts if you're interested in making one) but want to get with other artists all the same, that's great! We can correspond via email (or for those that have it, facebook and tubmlr I personally have neither of these unfortuneately however).

No offense, but isn't a lot of art you find in there inspired by drugs usage?

there's artists from every background there, so yes you can find plenty of undesirables, but there are plenty of Christians to find fellowship with, you just have to use some common sense to know what you're looking for in people, and know to avoid what isnt appropriate

There was a guy from OR i used to chat with a lot, until i lost track of him, who could exactly pinpoint what drugs had inspired some of the artwork. He was a heavy duty user of all sorts by the way, so maybe that's why i lost track of him. Sometimes the internet is a weird place.

yes, that can be the case but one person doesnt reflect the whole user group's views, just look at CC and you can see that. you came across one of the really bad apples there, and hes not the only one. but, a few of the first people i came across here on were a bit creepy or odd but i figured, hey these are probably the people that are either very welcoming, or dont fit the general criteria of CC. so, take some time to look around
i just found a chatroom that a guy i was talking to said that im part of the large, growing mound of christians. or at least monotheists, as they sorted people by monotheism, atheism and something else. they use monotheism as a broad term for those who believe in one 'god' figure, as mono means one and theo means god in latin. monotheism isnt a religion, its a term describing a group of religions. (figured i should expand on that, most wouldnt understand i think...) you can pick who you talk to, and its a moderated chat, they dont tolerate arguments and disruption between groups, its a chill place to talk about whatever with whomever, or specific topics with specific groups.

deviantART is cool. I don't draw but I wish I had the artistic abilities of many people on that website. Like anything else on the internet its far from perfect, but there is a lot of good stuff there.

Exactly, there is the bad anywhere you go, even in churches, you have to know to see, avoid and remove it (if possible)
