I just need to ask of you guys and girls to pray for me, i've been struggling with this kind of temptation, and whenever i have that urge to do this, i feel guilty but tempted. Please friends, please support me in prayer for this problem. I have been struggling with this kind of problem in my life ever since i was 13 years old. But i am not able to resist this. I really hope you guys would continue to pray that God will give me the strength to continue to move on, and that He would forgive me. Cause this is what i did, i eventually watch it, but worst still, i was also indulge in masturbation.. i am so sorry to have come out with this kind of topic, but i know that most of us christian guys come out with this problem too. That is why i am asking all of us to please continue to pray for us christian guys. Like me, i am a christian, and i don't want to be known as a hypocrite like what they normally call me. I want to be CHRIST-LIKE!, but everytime when God speaks to me in my heart i feel like He is telling me the same thing He told Peter, " you will deny me 3 times" and yes! i did deny HIM! but i dont want to! please all, im pleading you all to pray for me so i will not be easily tempted by sin.. THANKS..

Hi Terry... first of all bravo! God loves your honesty and repentant humility.

As Christians, we have been gifted with the Holy Spirit, and one of the features of the Holy Spirit is that it enables us to say NO to sin-- that includes avoiding the temptation even as it begins. I will be honest too.... I just struggled with something similar an hour ago but because of the Holy Spirit, I turned the channel immediately.

When temptation comes, close the browser, walk away, open your Bible - just don't go back to it. Pray. Pray to God for strength, for power. Ask him to activate your Holy Spirit. And finally, repent. Even if it really did not consummate. Repent to God ask for his forgiveness.

But of course, when we say REPENT, we do mean we ask for forgiveness and make a solid commitment to avoid that sin again. So everyday pray that God will give you strength to avoid temptations, and repent to him that sin, so that it may never shake you again. And if you have your quiet time, maybe God will uncover some burdens you have not surrendered to Him yet.

And of course, don't mind if people call you hypocrite. We're human, we're really bound to sin. But remember, before you look at your brother's speck, check for logs under your eyes. We stumble at times, but God forgives us always and gives us strength to avoid stumbling down on that same stone.

Don't have to worry, it's a christian site. They have free accountability software you install on your computer. You nominate an advocate when you install the program and if you look at dodgey stuff on the net it sends them an email.
It's a confronting way to do something, but dude it's transparent and it'll be worth it in the long run. Imagery is powerful... don't let images of sex cover the joy you should have in the Lord.
So find someone you can be accountable with that won't judge you if you fall, but will support you. Probably an elder who can pray with you is best

1. Repent and turn away from your sin.( Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you)
2. Throw away anything that will remind you to sin again.(porn pictures, magazines, movies etc)
3. If a thought comes into your mind, Rebuke right away In Jesus Name.. (the devil is afraid in the name of Jesus)
4. Meditate the Word of God and use it to shut the enemy up.. The Word of God is our Sword (Ephesians 6:10-18)
5. Let the Spirit inside you dominate you, not your flesh nor your soul. (i forgot the verse but READ THE BOOK OF ROMANS )
6. Pray everyday and read and meditate the word of God day and night.(Joshua 1:8)
7. Tell your pastor or a mature christian about your struggle and temptation with pornography ,

I read a book called "The Spiritual Secret of Hudson Taylor" it was a very good book that shows how one can overcome sin. I have to say that God has a way of doing things that is complicated. I wouldn't say a person is absolutely free from a certain weakness. It is just temporary. Meaning, they just found a way to avoid it sinning for a period of time until God allows the person to slip back into sin. It keeps going and going and going. But why does that happen ?? It's because it is in our infirmities and weakness that we seek God. Meaning that It is because of your weakness that you will seek God continually and through that you will learn sincerity, obedience and how to love God as well as have a relationship with him. Little by little your weakness will take you closer to God as your need increase so will your God in your Eyes. People who are not tempted are to be pitied because they are blind. I am tempted each day of my life and always with something different and do I sin? of course. But it was through my weaknesses that I can now see the weaknesses and how blind other people are. God soon becomes ever present in your eyes and you will feel and know he is right there next to you and you will be afraid to hurt him who you learned to love. God does things differently to all of us and allows us to have certain weaknesses. It is sad but true. But we must trust his wisdom. as you do so he will take you to harder and harder paths and thus we start to become workers of him. Not everybody out there is out to help us and you can hardly find an advice that is truthful. But God will Guide you to the right people , the right places, the right words and lessons.

Come on, you are just 19. If you really have problem since you are 13(..) you should go to a brother or sister of your trust and ask him to pray with you..An internet board is def, the wrong place for this..

It is crazy. We were designed to have a right sexual component to ourselves and the enemy just attacks it leaving people (including born-again good Christian people) in shame, guilt, and frustration. There is a reason why the devil is the worst criminal that has ever existed.

My advice is to remember that God truly loves you and has grace for you while you struggle and to keep your eye on the prize and never stop resisting the enemy. Never give up. Screw him. Take real steps to limit your exposure through getting off the internet or filtering it if you have to be on it and get involved with support groups online and off (if there's a Celebrate Recovery or some such group near you) if you're getting beat up by the enemy.

Well its really a personal opinion on whether to masturbate or not the church is undecided on it..But teenagers these days need stimulous to do so. Watching porn is that stimulus. So really if you watch it youre lusting after women when you should only lust after your wife. So Pornography is sexual sin.

I am also into Pornography, for years not, and i smoke amongst other Sins.

Even though i Practice it, now how Awful it is, what it does with the Mind, Heart and Imagination, till this day i go back to it. I have fought it for Years, there was even a time were i didnt feel any sort of Remorse or Conviction, same with Smoking.

Although i Practiced these Sins, wich are Keeping me to this Day in Great Bondage and will not allow me to reach a more Spiritual Life, i learned to no let it strike me in a manner such as "i might give up everythign else then". I admit to the Sin, but i still Read the Bible, i Still Pray i still Search Jesus Christ and still Have Faith.....but at some Point i must stop these Sins, these Actions and will not even think about Practicing these Sin rest of my life.

I learned how to fight of the Temptation, i learned why i Practice that Sin. I could tell you what to Do or what should be Done.

First you must know the Difference between you in the Flesh and you in the Spirit, you must Learn to Control and even Bring forth you in the Spirit incase you walk around in your Flesh. Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

This can be Accomplished if you are Serious about it, by Praying that Jesus Christ will teach you the Difference, and Searching Jesus Christ through Mediation, meaning Sit down some were or Lay down Somewere and Search Jesus Christ. He will then Teach you, Trust me.

The other thing is Resisting Temptation, the Temptation of unclean Spirit, the Demon wich Reminds you of how Pleasurefull or Joyfull ect it is...he also has the Power to put that Lust on Fire. You must learn to withstand these Temptations for 1 Minute to throught the Whole Day, yes the Whole Day, it is True that if you resist the Devil he will Flee, but if Jesus Christ wants you to Advance in some Aspect of your Life, Patience, Long Suffering and so on...he will Allow that Demon to Tempt you as long it is Pleasing to Jesus Christ.

Then the Issue is your Mind, you may Resist one Temptation, but the Women that you have seen during that Practice might show up in your Mind, the Images of these Women, now you are not Being Tempted anymore, nor are you Lustfull, but these Images of these Women have been Left Over, not as Jesus Christ said Matthew 5:28 28but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Although these images are in your Mind, that Principal i believe still Stands, you might then look at these Images in your Mind to Lust after them, and although you have won the battle against the Tempter you have lost the Battle through your Lack of Self Control.

Then there is the Issue with the Heart.....what you Love, Desire ect....if you do not have the New Heart Jesus Christ mentioned but still have that Wicked Heart, then you must understand your Heart wich is Sinfull and Wicked. There is not alote of things that will hurt a man/women but that wich he must let go wich he Loves and Truely Desires. For example a Child Loves his Teddy Bear but he sees someone asking to give it up and the Child shows no intention to really give it up, and if the Child does deciede to Give it up, he will notice in his Heart what that Teddy Bear means to him and what he Lost.

That is with our own Wicked Sinfull Heart, its not Pointed out towards Godly Things or Holyness or Rightousness, its pointed out in the Oposite Direction, its a Dark thing, but very Natural and Understanding, normal for Jesus Christ to behold these Hearts. There is nothing new that he might think "how wicked of love and imagination does this man have in his heart", no, even the Book shows you that Jesus Christ knew it befor you knew it.

That change of Heart is given by Grace, i have studied about the Heart of Man, and Tried to change my Desires of the Heart by My own for Months, but it was all in Vain....there were Changes Done, but these Changes were not Natural but more Opressing the Heart, then Jesus Christ showed me that in my Heart, Truely nothing has changed.

Jesus Christ is the Answer sir, on this Matter its up to Him to give you a New Heart with New Desires, there is nothing you can do but Pray. You may fight of the Temptation, Kill the Deeds of the Flesh with the Spirit, learn Incredible Self Controll so you will not look at women to enjoy or lust after them. But if you Truelly want your Heart to Change, then there is nothing you can do...but wait as i am at this very moment, its a fearfull thing, but clearly shows me that i am really trying to Trust Jesus Christ.

Hope i Helped, dont let it nor Satan put in your mind "you might give up in everything else, or advance in anything else, since you have sinned". But Prosper and be convinced Jesus Christ wants you to push forward continually in all directions.

I too struggle with this, not so much now, there have been a few times I have given in. Advice I could give you, is refrain from watching/listening to stuff with sexual material (tv shows, music) I realized, that those kinda things bring on the temptations more. I try too watch cleaner things now, and it's helped.. and also, if there's a particular TV show with someone you think is 'sexy'' ... I found that this wa sa link to my addiction for me.. idk if it is for you, but hope I helped, and I'll be praying too man!

I agree. If we keep our sins secret it makes it easier to keep repeating them. I have a friend who had this thing on his comp to were anytime he looked at porn, it let his youth pastor know.. helped him a lot!
