I would assume that a lot of us here aren't Jews or born as Israelites, so doesn't that mean we are gentiles? And if we are, can we still be saved? The main thing that scares me here is Isaiah 14:2 "“And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.” Doesn't this mean at the end times we will be slaves and can't be saved? I know this doesn't make much sense and I sound foolish, but I just want to know how to be saved.**

Christ gave his life for all of humanity not just one group of people. The only people who will be "slaves" in the end times are those who take the mark of the beast & will be forced to worship the beast.

Romans 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This goes back to John 3:16 again. This answers All questions of who can and can't be saved.

Isaiah told us that He would bear our suffering, and that He would be pierced for our transgressions. He told us that we, like sheep, had gone astray, and that our sins would be placed on Him-

Isaiah 53:4-9
"Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions,he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished. He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth"
Jesus tells us that He is that shepherd, and that He was to give His life for the flock.
He also tells His followers that He had sheep from outside the flock, and that He was going to call them, too-

John 10:14-18
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
This is why the apostles told us that whoever believed in Him shall be saved.

He is calling people from all races and nationality to Him, and anyone who hears His voice will follow Him. He is the God of all people, He created all of us and He wants to save all of us.

Jesus abolished the physical ordinances of Israel, and made out of the Jews and Gentiles one new man,and when a Gentile is saved they are a Jew inward, and part of the commonwealth of Israel.

Gentiles can be saved at any time, until the world takes the mark of the beast, that is when the fulness of the Gentiles have come in,when salvation is no longer available to them.

God will restore the kingdom on earth to Israel in the millennial reign of Christ, which is all Israel shall be saved, and God will make a full end of all Gentile nations, but will not make a full end of Israel, but will not leave her altogether unpunished, for when Israel has borne her shame for the rejection of Jesus then the kingdom will be restored to her, which God in the future will send 2 witnesses to Israel to turn them to the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

All the Gentiles that do not love God will follow the beast kingdom, then they will make war against the Christians and then the resurrection, then the world will attack Israel,God will come back with His people, and save Israel, and Jesus and the saints, both Jew and Gentile in glorified bodies, will rule over one sixth of the world that fought against Israel, and that is when Israel shall rule over their oppressors, the people in the flesh that God spared and postponed their judgment until after the millennial reign.

Gentiles have salvation available to them until the world follows the beast kingdom, and takes the mark of the beast, then salvation is no longer available to them.

But Israel does not rule over her oppressors until after God puts the world down, and punishes them for their sins and iniquities against Him,and Israel does not rule over their oppressors until Jesus takes over the world, and rules with His saints, who are both Jew and Gentile spiritual in glorified bodies.

When the kingdom is restored to Israel, either they have glorified bodies then, for they did escape the mark of the beast,or they will be in flesh and receive their glorified bodies at the end of the millennial reign of Christ.

But Israel ruling over their oppressors are all Gentiles, for there will no Jew there that is not part of the kingdom restored to Israel, but they cannot receive salvation at that time anyway, for they took the mark of the beast, but God postponed their judgment until the end of the millennial reign of Christ.

So I would not worry about it for a Gentile can have salvation anytime they want,as long as you do not follow the beast kingdom and take the mark of the beast.

Israel will only rule over their oppressors,a sixth of the world,Gentiles, for God had to spare some people,so Jesus and the saints could rule over them.

When a Gentile is saved they are a Jew inward, and part of the commonwealth of Israel, and Israel will never rule over their oppressors until God puts down the world, when they fight against Israel.

I am half jewish but I don't think it's a matter of being a Jew or gentile because Jesus brought both into his kingdom on that fateful day. Think of this if you will, the cross has four points now say that the top point represents heaven and his kingdom and the bottom represents earth and humanity the left represents the gentiles and the right represents the jews and then you have Jesus pinned to it connecting all of them together in one body.

Romans 1:16
New International Version (NIV)

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

As for freaking out about that verse you posted OP, instead of having a knee-jerk reaction read the verse in context and also there are parts of Isaiah that connect to Revelation and the events described there that will happen soon. God bless. :)

Concerning scripture to speak on gentiles, I was wondering why it appeared Jesus " changed His mind". I read in Matthew 10:5-6
"Go nowhere among the Gentiles, but go rather to the lost sheep of Israel".
Then in Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus speaks and says to go out and make disciples of ALL nations. (referring to Gentiles)'I have other sheep that are not of this fold".
I ask because I am now beginning studying of the gospel of Mark, and he is addressing the Romans while Matthews book addressed the Jews.

Before and after the crucifixion?

I'm just guessing, but i would assume that after his crucifixion salvation was so much easier, particularly to gentiles. And perhaps he was frustrated with Israel being so disobedient.
Again, just guesses.

HelloAlexT2po,

Regarding your concern:

"To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nationsthat one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ —just as I have received authority from my Father.

As the Lord proclaimed in the scripture above, those believers in the church will rule with Him on the earth during His thousand year reign in their immortal and glorified bodies. For the church will have been gathered at least seven years prior to the end of the age. Also, regarding the salvation of the Gentiles the Lord says:

"I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” and,

“In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’ ”

And regarding the Gentiles, Jesus prayed the following to the Father:

"I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."

So, as being apart of the church, believers will have inherited many amazing things through faith in Christ. We are to rule with Christ, not be ruled over.

well we christians aka gentiles can be saved for starters because the jewish in olden times felt unworthy to accept jesus as their savior and so jesus told paul to preach the word of jesus' crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and ascension,to the gentiles in olden times as stated in the bible, but also because it was to be that all that accepted jesus as savior and were baptized would have the promise of salvation.
