I know many of you are experiencing hatred in this world for following Christ, but here's some encouragement from the Scriptures:
John 15:18-26

New Living Translation (NLT)

The World’s Hatred

18 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19 The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. 20 Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you. 21 They will do all this to you because of me, for they have rejected the one who sent me. 22 They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Anyone who hates me also hates my Father. 24 If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father. 25 This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures[a]: ‘They hated me without cause.’
26 “But I will send you the Advocate[b]—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.
Be Encouraged... It's ok, Christ experienced the same hatred...

It's all good. When it comes down to it, words are just words. Injuries heal over time. And death is just a quicker way to meet our maker.

Seriously? He actually said that?! The point is that you worship God, not to make sure that you are "loyal" to a certain church. I hope you can find a different pastor who will understand you better and respect your choices in the future. Christianity is about your relationship with God, so it shouldnt matter which house of his you choose to worship in.

I'm understanding both of your posts, although, it's very important that you worship no matter where, it's also important to remain faithful to your church, unless you have a good reason for leaving, [not abandoning, leaving]. If you feel uncomfortable in a specific church, and feel like you don't get enough 'praise', then you should be able to find a church you can remain loyal to... God bless, and I agree partially that if you feel like hopping to another church, just so you can 'get your praise on' a little better, do so, as long as you remember to remain faithful to God, it's all good...:) God bless u all once more... Be Encouraged my friend.

I think "faithful" and what the pastor believes is faithful are completly different. (ugh, if u didn't understand, sorry, kinda hard to word) I dont think Angel is being unfaithful, because to be unfaithful to ur church would be something along the lines of purposly not attending, worshipping, or bad mouthing. But Angel isnt doing these things. She is realizing that this church is not a good fit and that it would be better to her faith to attend elswhere. So, I think to some extent, she is still being faithful.

Exactly. That's true, I understand... As long as she finds a church that fits her, where she can praise freely, it's all good...:) God bless you...
