there is already in place a nondiscrimation policy in all the public schools. No one should be bullied or mistreated for their beliefs. My husband cousin is a lesbian and she and her girlfriend lived with us for the first year of our marriage. We love and support her as a person but her sexuality is between her and God and she knows what the Bible says. However, we think its a sin and will teach our children that. It is something people should turn from and repent of.
We are to accept and tolerant the person not the sin. If you knew someone addicted to crack would you tell them its ok and hand them a needle or would you intervene? God says those who sin will go to Hell unless they confess of their sin, repent and obtain forgiveness, isn't that more serious then a crack addiction?
How can they confess and repentant if no one ever tells them they need to begin with?
no one is perfect, but we are to help each other become more like Jesus. we are to control our fleshy desires and live and walk in the SPIRIT of God. God did not make mistakes, if you were meant to be with a woman, you would have been born a man and visa versa.
However Jesus spoke of Eunuchs: people who abstained from sex altogether. if you can't have natural urges and be married according to the Bible then you should forsake that aspect of yourself for it is better to cast off an eye or hand or private member then to be casted into Hell because it cause you to sin.
I value friendships more then physical attraction because attraction to the flesh wanes with time but the friendship lasts for a lifetime.
That being said all people should show RESPECT and LOVE If they claim GOD as their Father, the fruit show show forth:

I am not okay with this at all.... As a Christian, I know that Homosexuality is wrong, and this is why I am not okay with it. Simple as that. I would think that more of you guys would realize that when things like homosexuality is normalized, more people will subscribe to it, and fall into sin. I simply cannot support laws that go against what God teaches us is wrong.
But as an AMERICAN you have to understand that in AMERICA we appreciate differences and don't condone laws based solely on or in support of only religious grounds. First off, no, they don't teach family values at all in school. Ever. But if a class is doing some kind of family-based project, and a child has gay parents, it is ILLEGAL for a teacher to say "that's not a family" to that student. And the teacher should be fired and have her license revoked if she does do something like that. There's no reason to bring religion into schools. Sure, religious schools, that's fine, but not public schools. It is downright wrong to censure a gay student from voicing his or her opinion just because they are gay.

I'm sorry but you are not just born gay or straight. You are born straight, but then things of this world lead you to believe that your gay, and then sooner or later, you end up making it right and natural in your mind. And the world is pushing and pushing to make it something that is natural/what your born with.
And if you are a Christian, you should know that God said in the bible numerous times that being gay is wrong, sinful and unnatural. I am not looking down on anyone who is gay, but im looking down at the sin. Now, I'll admit I sin too. I struggle with sexual sin all the time, but im not saying thats right or letting it look like its natural. I'll be the first to admit that i'm wrong when I sin. Here is the thing, we as Christian's should tell the world what is right and what is wrong, but we must do it in both truth and in love. You can't just go off on someone for being gay because it is wrong. You can say that its wrong, but you have to be loving about it. Its about looking out for another brothers best interests.
