Right I may get a lot of hate for this, but I can explain why I listen to each band and each artist even if the right wingers on here disagree with me, it's all personal preference. (On topic)

I think that when a band goes secular, they are able to reach a wider range of people. Having worked with switchfoot, for the most part i would say they are really cool guys. I would still consider them a spiritual band, even outside of a christian label.

The fans for sure!

Jesus is not limited to christian music labels. God said to the apostles, go throught all the lands spreading the gospel. If he had said just to hang out with people you know believe like you do and talk about me, no one would ever hear the gospel.

I really don't think Christian music labels should even exist. I think it causes artist to either be fake, or it used to take advantage of the consumer. I think every artist should be on a secular/indie label.

That way if they really are a "christian" band, then they can show it without a label requiring them to talk a certian amount of time about jesus during their shows.

Fan's make the music worth it.

Skillet never turned secular, all it was is screamo addicts Emos and goths listened to it nonstop not knowing it was Christian md then it was added to the secular bunch, they still profess Christianity, just not everyone knows it.

Whats wrong with switchfoot? Ever since they went secular, they have done more christian-like songs than before, have had more hits on the Christian Billboards and touched even more people. As far as am concerned, switchfoot still rocks

Like Black Metal? check out Crimson Moonlight, awesome Christian Band. and these guys dont label themselves Christian but their lyrics are The Classic Crime. there rock
