OK guys story time!! :)

About two years ago me and my family lived in this perfect world were God was the center of everything, and nothing ever went extremely wrong. Or so we thought. While all of my family was putting on the 'happy Christian family' cover, by brother was slowly going down hill. He got to the point were he couldn't handle the pressure of my parents. He didn't want to go to church every Sunday and be a Christian. He was sick of it. All of this started to build up, and he started to take out in the wrong places. My brother started smoking pot. At first it was just a little bit than it got to the point were he would sneak out in the middle of the night to smoke with his friends. Than he started to drink, and started having sex. While all of this was going on, me and my family had no idea. He became cold and bitter. And we didn't know why. He was always in a bad mood and had the typical not caring teenager attitude. One night he came home from a friends house, he was waiting in his car outside the house. My mom got suspicious, so she went outside and grabbed his phone. He had multiple text messages about buying and selling drugs. He broke down, he told us everything(or most of it.) Thats when my world came down on me. I was confused, and lost. How could my brother do something so stupid! I was so mad at him for the longest time. I didn't talk to him for a month. He went into depression. But eventually he started to get better all the sudden. And we were so happy we thought he was getting back on track with God and that he was ok. Ha little did we know, he had started smoking again. When we found this out, my mother was so close to kicking him out of the house. But she didn't. My parents than started to isolate him from everyone and everything they thought was influencing him. He started to rely on God and he got back on track. His attitude improved and I got my brother back. But I know he still struggles daily with wanting to go back to all of that. And I pray to God he won't. But he goes off to college pretty soon, and he has to decide himself how he wants to live his life. It wasn't just a lesson for him, but for me too. People aren't perfect and there's no such thing as a perfect world. It has helped me be less judgmental, and has helped me understand others more.

Glad to hear that everything's alright now mate.
All the same though, the ordeal itself would have been a rewarding one, as you have now experienced the issues associated with drug abuse in the family. Hopefully you will enlighten others and offer support for other teens and parents who are going through the same thing. I'm sure they would appreciate it. :)
