I honestly don't see how we moved away from the question. I mean most of the discussion has been about bible versus either for against it. And I don't recall anything too graphic.
WWJD? It is not condemned in the Bible, and I don't know if you noticed, but the Bible covers a lot of sexual immorality. Now does it fall under the category of purity? Certainly not, it is clear that it makes you unclean. And Jesus was not only virtuous and Holy, but he was pure as well. So, no I don't think he would.
I would say that most Christians strive to be pure, if that is the case, avoid masturbation. But that wasn't the question.

1Co:6:18: Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Yes masturbation is self fornication can you really not see that? Self gratification in any form is sinfulness. Another verse that explains this.
2Pe:2:10: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
Walk not in the unclean works of flesh but walk after the Spirit.
Example virtue is found 6 places in the bible. You can not be virtuous and masturbate.
M'r:5:30: And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Lu:6:19: And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
Lu:8:46: And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
Ph'p:4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
2Pe:1:3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe:1:5: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
aslo any dictonary has the word defined as such:
Virtue- moral goodness, a good quality, inherent power, morally good, chaste
Virtue is a concept many do not really understand.
Praise Jesus that He regenerates our virtue, through the sanctification of the Holy Spirit. For God is LOVE (VIRTUE) I hope this helps you.
