They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. But if you make that old dog a new dog, then surely, you can teach him new tricks!!! lol.

Imagine that you take in a very wild dog from a pound. The dog is wild, so he has a wild nature. He does not know what it means to, SIT, or STAND, or STAY!! lol.

These commands mean nothing to him. He might look at you like, ''What? Get outta here!'' haha.

This wild dog needs some training. Wild dogs are hesitant to be cared for. They are wild. They fend for themselves. They get their own food. They don't need some human doing it for them. THEY GOT IT! lol.

In the same way, a person who is of this world, who doesn't know God, are like those wild/old dogs. These dogs have to be made new dogs. They have to be trained and tamed. They have to see care in order to trust. They are wary of abuse, as they have been abused. Sometimes they will bite at you, snap at you, but that should not prevent your care for them.

We were like these dogs too. But Jesus trained us in love to give us a NEW NATURE. Watch how else Paul describes it.

Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Rom 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

SEEE?? haha

May Jesus bless you.
