I've heard of people comparing him to pie! Haha. I think God has a sense of humor, I would assume he thinks we're silly debating this.

Agreed. He's looking down on us like, "Ohhh silly humans, thinking they know EVERYTHING...''

I came up with a good analogy of the Trinity. Us.

We are made up of of three parts. Soul Spirit & Flesh. But When you look at someone you see One entity. You don't see my Soul and Spirit Separate from the Flesh. You see One.

After all, we are made in God's Image

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

but what does it mean to be created in the image of God after all he is invisible, and aren't the spirit and the soul the same thing?

hey,

I look at it like the 5 fingers on my hand. each one is an individual finger, but they all work with the same mind, the same purpose, the same goal. they all represent one hand. or fist. or claw.

I believe this is the same with the Trinity. unlike the hindus religion. they have a trinity, also. bot 1 is the creater, 1 the sustainer and 1 the destroyer. or something like that. each with seperate minds, purposes and goals.

I believe it's this oneness that makes the Trinity.

we are baptized in the name of The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. the Trinity.

get it?

No we are baptized in the Name of Jesus, for no other name is given unto heaven for Salvation :)

Note is says "Baptize in the name of The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost" This implies singularity. The Apostle Peter didn't have it wrong when he said "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

God Bless my brothers.

but to say in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is the same as saying in the name of the Father and in the Name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Ghost

No its not. If it were implying that they were three separate it would say in the names of or in the name, in the name, in the name.
Instead it just said, in the name of the father, son , and holy ghost.

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The Bible makes it clear that the Name of the Father is Jesus:
"Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one."
"Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? "

The Bible makes it clear that the Name of the Son is Jesus:
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

The Bible makes it clear that the Name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus:
"Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. "

John 1:1 " In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God."
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I do not believe in the Trinity.

I believe that Jesus is God's SON! He was created by God before creation (Proverbs 9). Jesus was referred to as the ONLY BEGOTTEN son, the firstborn, the SON SON SON of God. Trinity is not in the Bible. In the new testament, there are several references, especially by Paul, of God AND Jesus Christ. God AND Jesus Christ is mentioned over and over again. Jesus sits at the RIGHT HAND of the throne of God. Jesus was raised from the dead BY God. We are co-heirs with Christ. Christ is referred to as our brother. Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth given to him BY GOD!

I debated the trinity issue with myself for over 2 years, and the verse that finally showed me the light was 1 Corinthians 15:24+.

Good luck in your seeking endeavors. Be blessed :)

so when Jesus said, "I and the Father are one" what does that mean? or when 1 John 5:7 says For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (i think someone already put that one up) to say that He is God's Son is not proof, it just means that God is not restricted to one form at one time. and i understand that Jesus prayed to God, but i talk to myself all the time, even answer myself. and when Jesus and God are mentioned together, well that's the same thing as what i said earlier: 3 embodiments of 1 God and 7 Spirits (seven spirits are found in Revalations 4:5).
