Well hello all I would really like some prayer for my friend and advice on what to do.

Well there is the boy in my grade thats my age that was born in korea (he lives with an adopted family) and his name is Noah.

He has done a few questionable things (not terribly bad) that I know of. Like giving some girls piggy back rides and I think once on accident (dont ask how) he unsnapped a girls bra strap. (I dont think he meant to or anything)

Anyways he has been really sad and depressed lately.

Like when I figured out about it first he was sad/depressed because he feels like his parents basically love his little sister (also adopted from korea) Abby more than they love him because she gets like EVERYTHING and he hardly gets anything.

Then just like today he's getting sad/depressed again because he chose to break up with his girlfriend Heidi because he needed some time off and didnt want to date. Well now people are talking about him behind his back saying that he talked to some other girls some way or whatever. And people are mad because he did this. I told him about it and stuff and he shrugged it off like it was nothing new.

I think he has scratched himself on purpose before (i have also done this but only when I was disappointed in myself and I dont any more) and has said something along the lines of that every insult is just another cut on his arm.

He hasnt talked about suicide or anything yet and I dont want to tell his parents unless I think it is getting too far. (Like suicidalish)

I have been trying to help him by telling him that I am always there for him and that god is too.

Maybe God has put this in front of me so I can help him and maybe get a best friend.

So just pray for him, me (me for this and my other threads) and give me some advice

P.S- I also know sometimes he gives his assignments to people and gets assignments from peoples (cheats)

Sad how I have to get used to that at school because almost everyone does it but I always say no when asked

But I will HELP them not GIVE it to them.

Hes ok.

from the things you're telling me hes just wanting attention from his parents and friends.

i used to cut cause i wanted my friends to notice and care, or my parents to notice and care. his parents probably do get his sister more things but its not cause they love her more. its cause shes the baby. my brother got a CRAP load more things then i did. . . . .as did my older sister. i'm the middle child so i get PLENTY of hand me downs.

as for ppl talking behind his back. that's probably the girls fault. if she understood what he was trying to do then she would help get rid of those rumors and no one would care. but shes probably right in them with her friends which is making it worse. so its a GOOD thing he broke it off with that kind of girl.

right now its going to seem like life really sux and no one likes you (i went through it too. my friends betrayed me, i cut and NO ONE cared, and i was made fun of a LOT used to go home and cry almost everyday)

but it gets better. ^_^ it really does. confidence is the key. once you realize that no matter what people think of you they're not the rulers of your life, it gets easier. in high school i become a freak (just really weird) and i got all kinds of weird looks but i started getting lots of friends and people looked forward to the things i would do next. ^_^

Pay no mind to wolfy; what he said is a sign that you are acting like a true servant of CHRIST. It's impressive to see someone your age asking for advice in the first place; that shows you have a teachable spirit (you're humble). Keep it that way and you won't fall on your face from your own stupidity (Proverbs 16:17-18).
You've shown God's grace to your friend. If you want to be friends with him, go for it. But if he starts to follow a bad crowd remember that Proverbs 13:20 warns that "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."
