This ring I wear represents purity

Not only saving sex for after marriage, but also saving my heart
To only fall in love with one man, to only give my heart away once

This ring I wear reminds me to be patient

Patient for love, and all the things that follow it
This ring I wear tells me my true love is waiting for me too.

What are your outlooks on purity?

I agree! ^_^ and I am saving my first kiss for my wedding day =]
I dont have a ring since I never wore rings at the time my youth group went thru the purity talk, but I did get a purity necklace that I wear every day I go out (I cant keep it on too long cuz im allergic to the metal so I only put it on when I leave the house.)

another thing I want when I am married is a tattoo wedding ring, and I explained why in poem form...

When I get married I want a tattoo wedding ring.
Not because its cool, or hip, or trendy or any of those other meaningless reasons.
I want one because it means commitment.
It means I want to be with you as long as this ink will last.
Which is forever.
Well not forever, because when you die it will decay.
But you get the picture.
When I get married I want a guy who will want a tattoo wedding ring
One who will want what it really means
One who wants to be together
One who plans on being my forever
Who loves God above any other
And always has time for his mother.
When I get married I want a tattoo wedding ring
Because marriage really is sacred.
It isn’t just something you do so you feel better about having sex with someone,
Then devoice them when you think the course has run.
It’s a way to profess that you truly love one another
And plan to love them, today and forever.
Like a tattoo marriage isn’t something that should be taken lightly.
Cuz no matter how it turns out it will be with you forever.
Whether it is nice, and you wake up every day looking forward to it.
Or it haunts you with the ugly scars it leaves.
It is part of you forever.
So when I say I want a tattoo wedding ring
It means
Its something I do not take lightly.
It means
Loyalty
Openness
Vows
Everlasting

wow...amazing!
I've had mine since I was like 15, but it was taken away from me because I wasn't being loyal to my promise I made when I got it. I don't deserve it now...but I am starting over. :) This guy I know, he's a devout Christian, we're friends now, but when we are out of college, he's going to ask my dad to court me. We've both made mistakes but starting over and doing things right is so amazing! I pray that God blesses what we have!

Thats true, it doesn't matter what someone's done or who someone was. Only what they are doing today and who they are now. :)

I have a purity ring... I don't wear it much too often anymore because I believe that I'd loose it. It is silver and on it is engraved purity in cursive. I'm saving my heart, my love, my first kiss, and everything else for the guy that God is saving for me:)

it was really sad, this one time (I was working at a Christian camp and hanging out in the gift shop) this one girl was all "cool I want a purity ring!" and the other one was all "do you know what that means?" the first girl said no and the second one says "it means you cant have sex until you are married" to which the first girl replies with a disgusted look "oh, ew, never mind." it really broke my heart to see it cuz they were about 13-15 I think.... =[

I dont have a purity ring but a simple reminder in my head that I should wait till sex after marriage =)
As for Loving another man i dont know what love is But only the Love the Lord God has shown me
& family love.

I taught i loved a man once but maybe it was not love i was young & confused a long with sprung =/.

A purity ring might be good for people who really do want to wait till sex after marriage =D
But i dont like jewerly =/

Plus i dont want many at my school knowing im a virgin NOT because im ashamed but because sadly guys try talking to you to be able to make you lose it to them so they can brag to people saying "yeah i took her virginity & quit it" or something,
& then because some dont believe & then theres the nosey chismosas & chismosos...

So as long God knows & i know thats what matters =D
It should not be important if other people know (in my case)

I think it's very important for others to know so you can witness to them. I've been able to do that with my ring. And especially here in the country I live in it's extremely sexually immoral. I've had guys stop me on the street in town and say, "hey white girl, are you a virgi?" I look at them and say, "yeah! What's it to you?" And walk away. I've had that happen a lot and people make fun of me for it, but I don't care, it's something important to me. Guys have tried to take mine, I was actually with my exboyfriend (as stupid as I was at the time...) and he tried to rape me and pressure me into doing it by saying I'm a tease and threatening to break up with me and not showing me any affection when we were together. But just stay strong and I think a ring or anything else would be a great help to you to stay strong!

Wow that's crazy!! I can relate to the getting made fun of for saving my purity but a guy has never tried to do that. But yeah I mean sometimes it can be hard to hear, but I know at the end of the day I'm still glad that I have held onto what God has given me.

Thats true but If im not going to preach to them then its not their bussiness
Sorry that, that happend with your ex are you okay?
If he tried raping you, you should of reported to the cops.

My point when they find out you are one they want to steal it Just like the devil wants to steal us from God.

Yes after i lose it to the one i get married to i would want to share as a testimony =)
& to other christians now or later in life but as for those who dont believe & are caught up in doing to much wrong its better to tell them about God & them asking for forgiveness & not about me being a virgin... if you get what i mean...
But i get what you mean, If i do meet a person struggleing or who is christian but does not follow much the Laws of God i would tell them =)
But not just anyone.
Hold on to your virginity =D
Ignore those rude comments on the street & Remember That by holding on to it until marriage your making God happy =)

It was a long time ago that happened. And as stupid as I was, I did not report it. I am ok now, I guess. I learned my lesson though and that's all that matters now.
I get what you're saying. (=
