Do you think the Rapture will be soon?
Im new here and this is my first thread, so I'm gonna start with the rapture, I don't want to get too much into detail right now. First of all, I know No man knows the day or hour, but the bible tells us what it will be like in the last generation. And the fig tree parable, for those of you who don't know what that is, its a big metephor about Isreal becoming a nation (Which happened in 1948) and the generation after this would not pass,has become true, so what do you think? Rapture soon or the Rapture is to come later?

I personally don't think it will happen for a while. I think a lot more prophecies need to be fulfilled.

Like you said no one knows the day or hour as its said in the bible. Matthew 24:36. Only God knows when the rapture will occur. All I can say is that we're near the end times. But the rapture won't be happening anything soon.

Here is my two cents, or whatever you find it's worth:

It doesn't matter when the rapture will happen, the question is will you be ready? It could occur 20+ years from now...nobody knows. However, Jesus told us to watch and be ready, so live every moment like it will be the moment of Christ's second coming. Take a look at Jesus' parable of the brides and the bridegroom:

Matthew 25


1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

thanks for the reply, yeah i remember reading that verse and your right, it could happen anytime, but yeah, I need to be ready and I need to know god too.(Well i already do know him and follow him, but I should help others know him too because I don't want to be in heaven alone x_x)

So do all the plauges happen after or before the rapture? Does EVERYONE who doesn't get raptured go to hell?

The rapture will be unleashed when a special phrase is said. As it is foretold in the prophecy of the Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza.

Those who say its a long time off or it won't happen in my lifetime I believe is what the bible refers to as scoffers saying where is the promise of your return. We should live like the rapture will happen today and pray to be counted worthy. I do believe the next thing in major prophetic events is the rapture. This subject is one of great debate and often brought up. If you live the rest of your life thinking today could be the day and you die of old age and go to heaven what have you lost. But if you say the rapture (or catching away or gathering together) won't happen in my lifetime and it happens tomorrow and your left behind, what have you gained. The bible is a lot of prophesy and there are many signs the rapture is near.
