Hey, Help!! lol
U already know that many churches have Youth Groups, and many pre-teens and teens get invovled, but the question is: " Should I participate in the Youth Group, even if it's a bit non-christian, and the peops there aren't exactly christians?"
I would luv 2 participate in the Youth Group; I'll do anything it takes 2 serve God and comunicate with others my age who are JesusFreaks like me, but the Youth Group doesn't seem Christ-like, they're kinda "fake", no offense, sorry, i'm not 2 judge, but it's kinda true. I want a true Christian Youth Group 2 participate and enjoy, 2 learn life lessons and make gud awesome Christian friends. So, should go 2 join the Youth Group, even if the majority of the people there are non-christians, and will probably lead me on the wrong path? Thx and Gbu, hope i can get some advice:)

Get in there and make a difference with them! If they're not Christ-like, get in there and show them how someone full of Jesus can be!

I would say YES! You won't find perfection there but you will hopefully find teens who have some sort of foundation in Christian beliefs. And alexisv has a very good point...you would be a good influence for them :)

as they've already told you.. well, i wanna share 1 Timothy 4:12.. Lucy 68 is right.. as a Christian, you can very well make a difference. i do believe that God has a reason why He put you there and always remember that simple things do matter. as what is written in the verse, be an example in word, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity of life.. and Christians are the light of this world and you're blessed for having that chance.. just be careful and be guided by God's word alone.. i also want to share 1 Corinthians 10:31.. prayers and God's word will be your armor against bad influences.. always remember you're a daughter of God and made to follow His commands.. ^^

Well, while i understand everyone's position on joining to help make a change, i think first some things need to be gone over.
I want to start off saying i am not against the idea of teens being able to make a difference. As a teen myself i was in leadership with two youth groups, one of which i also played in the worship band. I was in Christian bands with buddies, i did street witnessing in crack town on Friday nights, and other things. So teens can make a difference.
But here's my concern, you're still young, and still have a lot to learn. You seem smart and knowledgeable but you're at the younger side of teen still. My first concern is, how well fed are you in church? Do you go to a regular service where you can be fed and taught well? Or is youth going to be your only source of church? Because if you aren't being taught well, and encouraged and fellowshiping with other believers, you can't expect to get into a youth dominated by non-Christians and be strong enough to make a change. Especially if you may be the only person there seeking to make that change.
Just be cautious about this idea. And if you decide to go ahead and do it, keep an eye on yourself and your standards, if you see that you seem to be compromising more, etc .. don't hesitate to quit. While we are out to minister to others, its not at the risk of our own walks.
