First off, I don't know who invented the over used phrase above "Suicide is a PERMANENT solution to a TEMPORARY problem." ugh.... no it's not.

*Keeping it real, ladybug style ;)* You are delusional if you don't think suicide is a permanent solution. Once you're dead, you are dead. You don't rise from the ashes like a phoenix. :/ I do agree, however, that if the situation is grave enough, (no pun intended), then that person should be allowed to go the way they want to, instead of being ravaged by rabies or some other brain-killing disease. However, Levi doesn't have rabies, he has depression. Depression IS treatable, and with God's help it CAN be overcome. What Levi needs to do is call upon God to pull him out of the pit he is in. I've had depression for even longer than Levi has been alive.. God pulled me out of my dark pit and back into His light. :) And he will most definitely do the same for Levi. So stop with the "suicide isn't permanent" garbage..

Time for another episode of Keepin' it Real with TannerBrody, so pull up your big boy pants if you're easily offended as it's about to get pg-13 up in here.
First off, I don't know who invented the over used phrase above "Suicide is a PERMANENT solution to a TEMPORARY problem." ugh.... no it's not. My uncle commited suicide last year at the age of 61. He was suffering from brain cancer and had 6 months to live. His situation was defininatly NOT temporary. He decided to check out early instead of becoming a bed ridden shell of his former self and hopefully soon many states will follow Oregons's lead to allow physican assisted suicide. For anyone here who doesn't believe in it, just head on over to YouTube and watch the video of the guy who was bitten by a rabied bat. They recorded his situation as a case study for medical students. The treatment for rabies infection? Sedate you with enough drugs to try and calm you as you slowly pass into the most painful form of insanity imaginable as the virus literally melts your brain. I'm not going to post the link here for obvious reasons, but imagine how many people have to deal with these kinds of conditions every day around the world. If I was told that I only had 6 months to live I would go out and make the most out of my life, but if I was told that soon I would not be able to walk, talk, or bath myself and I would become a vegatable I would hope the state would allow me the dignity to end it myself.

So why am I bringing all this up? Because your problem Levi has little to do with your sexuality or lifestyle chioces and more to do with simply being a silly teenager in an immature relationship. If you had never brought up your sexuality, everyone would have just thought you were like any other 15 yr old kid arguing with their partner because that's what young angst is. My point is that someday you'll discover real world problems and look back at your teen years like they never mattered. If you told us you were hooked on drugs I would say go to rehab. If you were feeling depressed even when life is good I would say go see a psychiatrist. Just take a look at the thread here asking "What were you like in High School?" Almost everyone here on this forum went through some form of rejection or self identity issues at your age. Focus on God and yourself, join a band, play sports, travel or learn a new language, but most importantly take time to get to know yourself. Everything else will fall into place. Arguing over your XBOX or getting depressed because you found out Taylor Swift has a headache are not reasons to commit suicide.

btw, don't let any neanderthals here tell you being gay is wrong. If we still lived by old testment laws you wouldn't be able to eat shell fish or wear clothes with two different kinds of thread. I see that you live in the u.k.. I just watched the film 'The Imitation Game' last night about Alan Turing. He was a famous British mathmatician who helped crack the Enigma code that helped the allies defeat Hitler and win WW2. His gift for helping save the world? He was arrested for being homosexual and chemically casturated. In 2013 Queen Elizabeth II granted him a full posthumous pardon for "the appaling way he was treated by the government." Be glad you live as a gay man today rather than 100 yrs ago when being gay or black could get you hung from a tree. Times are changing for the better and being young means times on your side. You have so much to live for. Like the great Buddhist philopsher Confuciois said, (or maybe it was Vanilla Ice?), "Yo - yesterdays history... tommorows a mystery. Word."

"Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." - Oscar Wilde (another great man who spent 2 years in prison for being gay)

Quote "First off, I don't know who invented the over used phrase above "Suicide is a PERMANENT solution to a TEMPORARY problem." ugh.... no it's not. My uncle commited suicide last year at the age of 61. He was suffering from brain cancer and had 6 months to live."

In Levi.'s situation the phrase holds true. Its a permanent solution to a temporary problem. He has a lot of growing up to do. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. My aunt died of stomach cancer and did not kill herself. She witnessed to people in the hospital and to the doctors and nurses. My grandmother died of a brain tumor, my maternal grandmother also died of cancer. They all chose to live. And God still used them up until the time they died. But none of that relates to Levi.'s issue. His issues are temporary.

Quote "
don't let any neanderthals here tell you being gay is wrong...Focus on God"

So God is a neanderthal? Because both the OT and NT say homosexuality is wrong. You may want to rethink that comment.

Quote "
Oscar Wilde (another great man who spent 2 years in prison for being gay)"

Being gay is it's own prison just like any other sin.Sin is death, according to the Bible. Levi. will never be happy and find true relief until he obeys the Lord in his life. He has two paths before him, life and death and he must choose. You can give him all the humanist advice in the world it will not make him happy. No one can serve two masters.

^ Yeah.

For some Christians here, it's like the death of Jesus wasn't enough for others. :(

Hello wwjd,

Jesus said that all manner of sins and blasphemies shall be forgiven. Therefore, anyone who comes to Christ, regardless of their sins, can be forgiven. However, one of the main issues regarding LGBT who proclaim to be Christian's is that, instead of repenting, the justify and embrace that life style, claiming that God loves them just as they are and therefore, no need to repent. And that's the problem.

Guys, a person is threatening to kill themselves here. Just stop bickering back and forth. There is a bigger issue here than whether or not a phrase stands true

I don't know who you are speaking to but I didn't say that. Levi. can be forgiven, but he has to lay it all down and come to the Lord. He is struggling because he hasn't yet understood that God has a much better path for him. He doesn't want him in bondage to homosexuality,or any sin. Levi. is confused and only God can bring that clarity in his life. To lie to him and say God doesn't care about homosexuality and its ok to be gay only keeps him in bondage longer.God wants to heal his life and forgive him.

Yes the death of Jesus is enough but Levi has to accept Gods grace and understand the choice he is making. If he continues in homosexuality he is walking away from God and His grace and forgiveness. He must make the choice to follow God.

Honestly friends....
I think what Colt is trying to say here is....

Ok
An adolescent says he wants to die and cut himself
He needs help....
Regardless if he is homosexual, heterosexual....whatever
First things first!
And that being....by compassion for a human life needing to be PHYSICALLY saved right away!

That is my reaction

I think Colt felt like that jumping on the man because YES suicide is wrong should be the top and first response

When someone is about to hurt themselves....

Love and compassion....is the first response way for one in immediate need
Thats what I think Colt meant....just my opinion

A life should be saved first by love not judgements!
THEN
Later on the boy can work on his walk with Jesus, and his sexuality issues

I don't know Colt....but I don't think he meant cruelty in the statement to us

He is just saying a first responder in a serious suicide case is not harsh or judgemental

Does anyone ever see an EMS preach on the scene to a patient in need?
I know the don't!
Helping save a life comes first!
Then the boy can work on his soul

Btw
I do apologize if anyone disagrees with my statement

But my own experience as a child bullied....and by knowing depressed children in school like me

The last thing I ever needed was to be judged in an emergency of despair

I pray for the child
He wrote this weeks ago
Levi if you read this...
God loves you and wants you to NOT hurt yourself!
Please be strong....
First live!
Your life is precious
And later....I promise you, when you come to God
It is more beautiful than any thing you will ever experience!
Value your life first!
God is waiting to help you!
God bless you
If you ever want to talk PM me....
But please.....
Hold on.....
Amen

I just really want to die rn I don't want to talk about it I just want someone to tell me something postive really like from the bible or just a story or anything I just feel like I'm surrounded by sadness rn

This short, but comprehensive prayer will save you immediately. Some folks don't understand and think it's more difficult than it is.

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN.

Like me, you may always remember a passage that says it all:
Philippians 4:13
"I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me".

Hi Levi. I just wanted to let you know that you are loved. You are loved by all of us. You are loved by God.

If anyone should understand your pain, it's Jesus Christ. He experienced physical, mental, and spiritual torment. He was whipped, beaten, spat on and pierced. He was mocked, harassed, ridiculed and rejected. He was on the cross with the UNBELIEVABLE amount of everyone's sins placed on his shoulders, no doubt feeling separated from His Father because of the sin on him. He must have been marred beyond belief, blood oozing from his wounds, the heat of the day beating against him, struggling for every breath, the pain he endured is UNFATHOMABLE...

That night, his marred, lifeless body was wrapped in cloth. He, the Life Giving Shepherd, was laid among the dead. Our God had died, our Savior had fallen...

This isn't the end of his story.

One day had passed. Two days had gone by. No doubt, everyone had thought of Him as dead forever. The morning of the third day. As the sun was dawning, Jerusalem was stirring. Everyone was waking from their sleep. Just then, a rumble! The Earth was shaking! An Earthquake! The cause of which, we both know! The stone was rolled away! The Lamb of God has risen!!! He had died. Now, He's alive forevermore!!!

Trust me, you are loved. Jesus, far from being oblivious of our pain, knows it all too well. He doesn't just know it, He LIVED it!

In the most UNFAIR trade ever, He traded His righteousness for our wickedness and took our punishment upon Himself. So I say one final time, you, Levi, are of infinite value in the eyes of God. He knows and understands your pain. He is sovereign and has a plan for your life. It might not make sense now, but I believe He is subjecting you to this pain as a way to build you up. You may have a special place in His plan that we don't know about. Please, press on. Have faith and endure. You will be rewarded for your suffering. Our God is not unfair, He will reward you for your endurance. You are in my prayers. Continue to fight the good fight! You are not alone...

Hi fella, I am not going to bombard you with stuff to think about, it sounds to me you have enough of that.

Find a quiet safe place where you won't be disturbed, some where quiet and as peaceful as you can get (I am presuming here, sit by the canal with your fishing rod, no bait, with your hoodie pulled up. or on the top of a hill away from every one).

Close your eyes and in your minds eye look at the cross. You may have to search for a bit or even force your minds eye to find it but it is there, just search for it.

When you find it go and kneel at the foot of it. In that place you can unburden yourself. You can search out within yourself what you kneed to know to move forward, and in that place you will find Jesus.
He will do the rest.
God bless.

wwjd_kilden......get one thing clear, please...NOBODY who knows JESUS personally, will never doubt that one single little drop of blood from His broken body upon the cross has the POWER To cleanse ALL sin...ALL SIN!
However....being blatantly homosexual continually after a so-called Conversion, is not a good sign of salvation. How does JESUS get the glory if one of His own keeps telling the world that they are gay? How can one witness and share CHRIST with others when they salute a rainbow flag? Old things are passed away, behold, all things have become NEW! Very rarely does someone entrenched in homosexuality suddenly change their spots or lifestyle. The problem is, a homosexual decides that GOD made them that way, sadly. Dennis Jernigan, the Christian song writer, singer, performer is an exception to the rule!
My church had an awesome young man as a choir director, full of talent, who also led a Sunday School class. He professed a Christian testimony and was being considered to serve as a deacon. However, his deep dark secret was that he was a practicing homosexual. He would leave a church service...and meet male strangers in a local rest area. He began to bring invited male guests to church. On the surface, it looked like all was well and that his popularity was such that he had lots of friends and that he was inviting them to church. I was the church pianist and something within my spirit was troubled. He began to build a trust in me and little by little, I saw his confusion. After a late night phone call from him...I had to break that trust and have a little talk with JESUS. Jesus and I decided to tell my pastor. My pastor and I decided we would follow BIBLICAL procedures and approach this man, pray and seek GOD's will on this matter. The man agreed to meet with us privately in the church office. The idea was to truely study GOD's Word, pray, forgive and allow this man to decide if being gay was more important than being CHRIST-like. If the man decided to repent and walk away from his chosen lifestyle, then we would truely support him, be intercessory prayer warriors with him. and watch him grow in the LORD! It was not meant to be....
The man turned into something else before our eyes! His little body, suddenly grew, his eyes rolled back into his head, his voice changed and he stood up and started snarling like an animal. "CHANGE? Me change? Who do YOU Think you are?" He threw my pastor an I around the room like rag dolls. My pastor cried out to GOD as we tried to tackle him on the couch. Instantly, he returned to looking more like himself, but was completely wet with sweat, very red in color, shaking and disorientated and crying. The man told us that he was sexually abused many times as a child and that perhaps he needed to move on. The fact was, he had developed a 'crush" on my pastor and was planning on making our little country church the first openly GAY church in the state! He resigned the next Sunday, telling the congregation that he was moving on to where GOD had opened a door for him to go. A month later, my pastor and I found out he had died of AIDS.

Not really, lots of gay people live happy lives. My gay uncle wouldn't say he's "living in a prison". But it's not about being happy, it's about being holy. Just look at this forum, there are plenty of miserable christians attacking each other. I'd prefer to see Levi both happy and holy. This doesn't mean giving up how his sexual preference was designed, unless he's feeling trans-sexual and considering having surgery like Bruce Jenner and becoming a women. Gender idenity issues often bring about depression, anxiety, and other issues. If he's just a dude who's into other dudes, big deal.

People don't always know how "imprisoned" they are until they're not anymore, so your uncle's response doesn't really mean anything. I wouldn't have said I was living in a prison back when I was bi either, but I know now that I was. At the state Levi is in, I think he already knows he's in a prison, and not just from indulging homosexual thoughts either.

You speaking against God's Word isn't helping a single bit. We all know that God designed it to be a man and a woman; not two men, not two women. Stop trying to compromise with the world; it won't help Levi to be happy or holy. Start speaking life.

Levi, God said that He would never leave you, nor forsake you. Please remember that. You are not alone and you don't have to go it alone. He will help you; just trust Him with all of your life.

I don't know if you'll read this but, if you're feeling suicidal, take time to write down how you feel and also why you feel that way. Reflect on the good things in your life, and give yourself time to heal.
If things still persist then it may be more than just a feeling, but a medical condition, in which case you'll have to see a doctor.

Praying about it or reading your bible won't make things any better.

Are you serious? Of course reading his bible, and praying about it will help. Without God, Levi is nothing and can do nothing. That comment in red is absolutely not true.

They are not attacked for it the same way homosexuals are
