So what do we do with Internet Trolls, how do we handle them?.. I mean not the type who like to Joke Around, but those who come to ask silly questions when they know fully well that they need NO answers

Trolls are not seriously asking questions in the hopes of becoming enlightened in some way. They don't care what your answer is AT ALL. They ask questions to cause emotional upheaval and distract you from more important things.

I think the best way to handle them is to ignore them.

I answer honest questions honestly. I answer legit questions legitimately.

I do not feed trolls.

Even Jesus answered the Pharisees, who for all practical purposes were trolls.

Matthew 12 said:
1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”

3 He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5 Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent? 6 I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’[a] you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9 Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, 10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11 He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” 13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.

They were also standing right in front of His face instead of hiding behind a computer screen in their mother's basement.

We should troll them back :D :D :D
Actually that should have been a poll option.

But ultimately we get them banned. My method is, spot the troll, do not fee him, tell others not to feed him. And then everyone all at once troll the troll until he leaves. It's very effective without moderators online, but if a moderator is online, just kickban the troll until he comes back with some sense in his head.:D I could tell you some hilarious troll stories, but I won't bother. And to all them trolls out there "trolllololll" urselfz elsewhere! :p

All these choices are negative or neutral. There should be positive choices as well.

If we're going to go biblical on this there are two perfect verses in the bible for it in Proverbs.

Proverbs 26 Verses 4 and 5.

4 Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools,
or you will become as foolish as they are. 5 Be sure to answer the foolish arguments of fools,
or they will become wise in their own estimation.

I think what those two verses means is pick and choose your own battles... and trolls start foolish arguments to make people angry. They want to cause frustration and turmoil.

Like rainacorn said... I don't feed them either.

Though I do picture them a lot like this picture!!!

I heartily agree, Tobby. That's why I bring Snackers along, because he says the things I can't personally say :D. Although.....keep in mind that not all of the non-Christians on the site are here to stir up strife. Some are really seeking, but they may try to hide it with snarkiness.

Proverbs 26:4
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
