Do you think they're a good idea? Bad idea? Obviously humans can't perform miracles like Jesus but we can still do other things Jesus did such as forgive, love, etc. What's yoir opinion?

I think they are cute and a good reminder of doing things that are pleasing to God, so I'm for them.

I don't believe they mean much of anything, really.

Lemme give you an example: what if you wore a shirt that said, "WWHD" & below it say "What would Hitler do?"
Hopefully, you wouldn't have a clue, lol. But that's my point. Many people that wear WWJD bracelets & T-shirts hardly know what Jesus would do because they really don't know Him. In the US, some christians would have their westerner ideas of it, & that's about it. If we don't truly know Jesus other than what He did on the cross, we're clueless of what He would do. Besides, when's the last time someone stopped you to ask about your bracelet?

What makes you think we can't perform miracles like Jesus did?

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

I can give a couple examples from personal experience if you like.

i dont know about the miracles, but before taking a shot at walking on water i would really have to try to love the beggars, the dying homosexuals with aids, and the millions of hungry children that we see on television news while we sit in american comfort. if the day comes that i can embrace the lepers of our world as francis of assissi did, maybe ill try one of the other miracles (maybe .... but i suspect that i will be too busy

i had a great t shirt a few years ago ...... it was a WWJD t shirt with a jesus figure carrying an assault rifle with bayonet and standing in a pool of blood. the caption below the figure is an ann coulter quote "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to christianity" .... i wore it into a christian bookstore in illinois once and the poor clerk treated me like a bishop with his fly open. she looked in every other direction than at me lol

Wear it to remind you to keep Jesus first and it's okay. If you use it for any other purpose, I'd consider it an idol.

But those are the miracles. Jesus did all those things, among all those people, along with walking on the water - and in the process worked miracles of healing and prophecy and discernment et al. God works miracles every day, among the rich and poor. I have my own 'walk on the water' experience, http://christianchat.com/blogs/rickyz/4349-beach-incident.html http://christianchat.com/blogs/rickyz/4768-beach-incident-part-2.html if you're so inclined as to hear it. Yes it would be wonderful to have the time to work a miracle among the beggars, homosexuals, and children. And some of us have. But we can do that where we live. In our home, at our work, in the market... That's where the miracles occur. In whatever environment surrounds us.

WWJD bracelets are designed to be a reminder to followers. "Christian" is translated into little Christ so with that being said, we know we do not have the ability to perform miracles, but we can be reminded to love one another, and that no good deed will be overlooked by the eyes of God. I think that WWJD bracelets are a great thing to have as reminders for us as followers.

It is a great idea, because sometimes it really helps you..

Humans can perform miracles when the awesome power of the Lord flows through them. If you had the faith of a mustard weed you could take a mountain and splash it into the sea.
