I think I've made my decision on my religious views and I can tell you its not with Christianity nor any other religion. Thanks everyone for trying, but the answers you all gave ultimately made me see the ignorance that is inside of religion. I feel like humanity always turns to religion when they can't explain why life is how it is, but just because you can't explain the world we live in doesn't mean that you automatically turn to some mystical being. In time life will reveal itself through patience and most importantly science. honestly the most logical answer to life is in Atheism. I wish you all the best and hope one day you all will realize why your religion and every other religion out there is dead wrong.

I understand you are going through hard times but you are going about this question the wrong way. You are asking men to interpret God for you. God is so great none of us will ever fully understand God.

You can ask me to explain what a first kiss with the woman you love feels like. I can tell you that there are butterflies and goosebumps and chills down your spine and a weightless feeling that somehow plants you to the ground. But do you understand what a first kiss is? You now know my interpretation and maybe that is good enough for you; just an others word. But, how about your own word?

By asking men to interpret God is like asking me to interpret a first kiss. You can know what it is but you will never understand what it is.

Don't let others tell you the word of God is fallible here and contradictory there. Don't take a humans word for it. Because to be honest as a once atheist it is all regurgitated again and again. It is easier to say there is no God, for if there is no God I will be able to do all the 'sins' I want in this world. And you know what it won't matter because I won't exist afterwards. Please I wish I could have seen this thread sooner, but you are taking the easy way out of this war.

3 months ago I picked up the bible for the first time in my life. I finally read the book of John, Before I read that book I could tell you what it was about and who Jesus was. I bet I could even name all 12 apostles. I could tell you a few versus off the top of my head, and I even could give some atheists points onto why Jesus was not real. After I read that book I realized I knew only what I heard from men. And that knowledge was wrong, misguided, and the scriptures were taken out of context.

Please read the Bible. Don't look for answers about God from men.... Look for answers from God's words...

Sorry for the long post, God Bless You.

The question is do you want empirical evidence God exists or like you said....good reason? I notice that most people who doubt the existence of God normally say they want good evidence, but what they are truly seeking is the empirical. If that's what you are seeking I can't prove the existence of God anymore than I can PROVE to you that i love my mother. Now there is Good Reason for you to believe I love her, but no why to empirically prove this. The existence of God is somewhat like this. You see, I believe that God revealed enough of himself that a person could believe in his existence. On the other hand, he didn't overwhelm us either, meaning we could also chose to believe that the universe arose from random factors. I believe that there are certain Good reasons in the universe that can't be explained, or adequately explained by random factors; such as evolution. The first being First Cause..The newest attempt by skeptics to brush this aside (meaning there were others before this) is multi-verses, but this only pushes back the question, where did they come from? Many skeptics agree that at some point, there must be a first causal agent. I tend to agree...Secondly, the very fact that you and everyone alive seems to contemplate the existence of God. This really shouldn't be the case in a universe randomly produced. The very fact that you are here and asking the question gives rise that there is a reason to ask it in the first place and better yet that there is quite possibly an answer! Also, id like to add absolute morality is another good reason. We all know that there are universal morals that no man can circumvent. Such as lying, stealing, murder. If we are A moral matter (as skeptics claim), then where did the morals come from? Better yet, where did the ultimate morals come from? Evolution? Dont think so, if so, then they would be just arbitrary. Whoever was in charge could change the rules to suit himself. But this is not the case. These rules are universal and run in the core of every being. I could also give the 20 constances of Planck which give us an incredible...and I do mean an incredible view of what is quite possibly the best scientific pointer to Intelligent Design. When confronted with these constants I was quite literally blown away. I could go on, but I won't because quite frankly, no one can be reasoned into a believe in God. If you don't want to believe I could show you evidence after evidence and you still wont believe. You see, its a question of the heart and I believe that God has revealed enough of himself in the universe for you to believe he is there. But the rest is up to you. God bless and I hope you find who you're looking for. :)

Matt96 , Do you have a proof that mother nature created you

Atheism can't be the answer at all.

Not believing in God because some idiots believe in him is the same as not believing in scientific facts because idiots believe in them :)

Think about it.

U can question whatever u dont understand, even with God.First off,av u ever wondered y u were born?or where humans come from?or ur purpose here on earth?well think about. My answer is simple, there must be a supernatural being who created this whole awesome and wonderful universe and i know HE must luv me...because many children die at birth but i didn't....then there must be a supernatural being who is responsible for all the negative things that r happening(To every action there must be an equal and opposite reaction.).Now lets go into the bible,God(Jehovah) created all things and creation was in progress when there was a rebellion in heaven, lucifer and his crew were thrown down from heaven into the empty earth(B4 man was created, there were pre-adamites(satan and his angels) in the dark and empty earth).God initially planned on making something that will give glory to HIM-man....but inorder for this man to exist on earth he needs a powerful tool to defeat the enemies of God-The breath of God(God's Spirit). He gave His breath to the first man and HE warned him to be careful against the enemy....the enemy was successful to trick the man into disobeying God,but God was merciful(as usual) but the man was ignorant(like all men). They never apologize for doing wrong so God's Spirit left them.....they became spiritually dead and since all of us came from them...all of us were spiritually dead(Hence d scripture says all av sinned and fallen short of the glory of God)....but He planned to redeem us from this emptiness so He chose to manifest Himself so that He would redeem us to Himself 4 His glory...thats all i av 4 now,any more questions hit me up.

Do u know that the greatest scientist of all time Albert Einstien was faced with this question?his professor asked him this question....after giving all his facts, the professor was still debating that he wants God to first of all manifest Himself to his 5 senses b4 he will ever beleive in HIM.Einstein asked him,"do i need to see ur brains b4 i beleive in what u teach me?" the professor replied "no,but u must certainly take it by faith then"....Einstein replied happily "ahhha....by faith i beleive there is a God".
To u the scientist who think u r so wise more than the Creator and who wants to c God with ur eyes b4 u believe in HIM,have u ever had a headache?do u c it b4 u believe that u av headache?are u happy or sad?have u seen them?i guess not.U only feel the most important things in life and God is no exception.U want to feel HIS presence?Get close to HIM by accepting the sacrifice HE has made thru d Son Jesus.

That's not what atheism is. At all. Dude.
Please don't start another debate on atheism, it was a 'crude' joke. Atheism is just the Unbelief of a God or God's. We all know what atheism is, but in today's pop-culture Atheism is starting a slang meaning on its own. Which was stated by that picture.

And that picture is a false representation of atheism. I'm not looking for a debate because that's not really debatable, unless facts are ignored. I don't think we all know what atheism is because if we did then pictures like that wouldn't be up here. So while that remains, I'm going to point it out.
