If I could get it by not smoking it, I would. Unfortunately, it's not available in non-smoking form.
Actually it is and is in a pill form, which is given to patients that are under radiation treatment for cancer to help them deal with the side effect of loss of appetite which affects some people from this type of treatment, and patients who are terminally ill.

I have been plagued by migraines pretty much my whole life. I have a series of prescription medications I take for them. There's a daily Rx I take that is supposed to minimize their frequency and severity (and actually seems to ... when I went off it I got them worse and more often). When I do get the migraines, I take Tylenol, then one Rx, then a 2nd. If the 2nd doesn't do it.... 2 weeks ago, I had taken all the prescriptions I had, and it didn't go away. I started puking the pain was so bad. After I emptied the contents of my stomach so that I was just dry heaving, I went to the ER. They gave me something and sent me home. I went to bed, but when I woke up, the migraine was back, as well as the nausea.

A friend of mine had some pot, so I smoked some. It actually was the only thing that made me feel better.

Tell me honestly that you think God would have rather had me suffer, possibly die of a stroke from a swollen brain, than smoke that one hit of pot.

And if you honestly believe that, your god is a sick, sadistic creature, and not worthy of praise or worship. The God I worship is not like that.

I don't like the fact that my friend smokes pot for recreation. And he and I have had talks about that. But if he didn't, he wouldn't have had any on him 2 weeks ago, and who knows what would have happened to me. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Not true at all, you can cook with it, you can drink it.. there are multiple other options to smoking.

Have you ever eaten a doughnut, neglected your vegetables, drank a coke or perhaps had red meat over white meat or fish? He who is without sin cast the first stone.
Bairn, its not even comparable.

It is not currently legal in the US in pill form. It has been, but the DEA rules changed, and now it is federally illegal, so doctors cannot prescribe it. What some US doctors do is tell their patients that, while the substance is illegal in the US, it may ease their symptoms, so that patients who have access to foreign pharmacies, and lots of cash, may get it. But that's not an option for me.

You may have heard of "medical marijuana." In some states, you can register to get permission to use marijuana for medical purposes. However, this is still a federal crime. The only thing the state license gives you is that local police will not pursue you, and MAY not report your drug use to federal authorities if you are arrested on some other charge. However, if you are arrested on some other charge, and it comes to the notice of federal authorities, and it comes out to the feds that you're using, they can and will charge you with a class A felony, even with your medical marijuana license.

I know this, because I looked into this when I discovered that pot does help my headaches. But the doctor cannot prescribe the pill form (even if I could get it from Canada) because she would lose her license to practice medicine if she did that. And if I got the license, and started growing it, I could lose my house, my child, everything. Not worth it.

So instead, I spend $20 a pill on medications that are legal and work sort of some of the time, instead of pot that would be way cheaper and works all of the time.

Nice free country we live in.

As for "hash brownies," unfortunately I've had a bad reaction to ingesting it that way; I have tried. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

This is why I get ticked off when people complain about pot. Yes, recreational use of marijuana is a "sin." But I think it's a far worse sin for it to be a class A felony so that sick people who really need the medicine can't even access it. To me, God is far more upset at the suffering that happens because of the greed of corporations and kingpins than damaged "temple" of the random pothead.

I am interested that you say the DEA has changed the rules concerning this medication.
The link that I have posted below actually says "the DEA helped facilitate the research of this medication." The problem is most doctors are reluctant to prescribe this medication. I have not been able to find where it is federally illegal. Would you mind posting a link on your research.

I totally have the same effect when i smoke marijuana, to me it seems very spiritual

i don't think smoking marijuana makes you a bad christian, as long as you don't let it to control your mind. If you smoke too much and become addicted then that makes u a bad christian because then you are 'worshipping' marijuana but if you use it only like once a month or sth then it don't seem to be a problem.

Look at at like alcohol , as long as you are not getting drunk every weekend and doing bad things there is no problem. It is ok when you use things like that with measure.
