I used to LOVE Yoshi's Island. I would probably still play it if I owned it. And Sonic the Hedgehog. Also, I don't think there is a Donkey Kong game I haven't played. I actually saw the game Duck Hunt in an antique shop a short while ago, amazingly enough. I unfortunately didn't have it that long because we got the Super Nintendo as soon as that came out.
Did you ever bother to unlock all the special levels? Some of those where nasty :D

Duck hunt won't work on LCD TVs because of how they made the gun work way back when.

Indeed, I do agree about that too. I was mostly pointing to how a lot of people thinks of gaming as sinful and very bad for you. And then to be reminding about that forums, chatrooms, even tv'es too, can be equally addicting and bad for you. I am not against playing games, it is like any other enterntainment that people likes to do. Some enjoyes playing video games, others enjoyes more going to the theater, the movies, or watching movies at home... Anything could become addicting, also in a bad way.

Same as some women loves to go shopping a lot, we do have a term for someone being a "Shopaholic", too. ;) :)
This is very true. I saw this really bizarre show once of the crazy things people can get addicted to!

Oh, piddle. Ah, well I don't think it would be as interesting now as it was when I was 5 anyways :) As to the special levels I confess I had to use the internet to help me with that ;)

I remember Duck Hunt. I used to try to shoot the dog rather than the ducks! Stupid dog giggling away at my inept shooting. Could he do better? I think not! ;)

I had a guidebook for that game. Some of those Red Coins where almost guide dang it worthy.

I dunno about duckhunt being less interesting though. The Wii shooting minigame has entertained quite a few of my freinds and relatives quite effectively.

I thought Duck Hunt was on the Super Nintendo? Not the Nintendo Wii?

I think JGPS is talking about a different game, something similar on the Wii (shooting)?

Duck Hunt was awesome. I also tried to shoot that dog!

The N64 had some great games. I loved Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie.

Yes, my favourites on the N64 were The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (never did finish it, yet), Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros 64. I still have my games and console. Should give them another go.

Honestly I loved Perfect Dark. For an N64 game, I think it was ahead of its time with everything you could do on the game. Also, I was very much into Starfox64 (do a barrell roll!). Kirby's Crystal Shards was amazing too!

Yes, Duck hunt is on the original Nintendo. Wii shooting is something similar that was inspired by duck hunt.

I also like orciana of time but never bothered to finish it :D

Star Fox 64 was great fun in multiplier.

Yes, Starfox64! It was always hilarious when the characters would all be saying "Noooo!" and their heads/mouths were just shaking. :p

And did nobody else play Donkey Kong 64??? Love that game!

Speaking of which... just because I can, I went and dug out my old Super Nintendo and I am playing Mario as we speak :p

Gah! Sorry, yes, on the original Nintendo. The Super Nintendo hadn't been invented yet.

Was Golden Eye the one where you could play multiplayer and turn off the gravity and add chain hooks?

My siblings and I would always play it that way. It was so much fun.

Golden Eye was about James Bond 007. No turning off gravity and chain hooks as I remember.

Right, but in multiplayer there were different modes and things you could change. I'm fairly certain it was a 007 game...

I used to play many first person shooters but as I feel closer to God I have found that I am beginning to play cute games. I play Jurassic adventure park, and dragon vale on iPad and small street on laptop. Talk about a big change in gaming. No more resident evil, left for dead, call of duty ext.

It could have been a 007 game because I think they made a lot of those, just not Golden Eye, lol. My brothers and I played the multiplayer many a time. Good times from back in the day.
