I can't remember. However, today I had a waffle and chicken flavored lays chip. It was disgusting. Some people like it though I guess.

Strange thing is I love chicken and waffles!

1) Once, one of our Indian friend volunteered to prepare chicken during our university field trip, he cooked in such a way (adding cashewnut, raisin, etc) that the chicken tasted so sweet. I couldn't eat further than one bite.

2) Once, my cousin sister prepared tea (with milk) in the afternoon and instead of adding sugar to the tea, she by mistake added ajinomoto (used for flavouring in most chinese foods and looks quite similar with sugar) and served us that. One male friend of ours, as soon as he took one big sip, had to cough and run to the bathroom to release it as it tasted so unpleasant (out of curiosity, I also took one small sip and it was horrible). After he came back, we all had a hearty laugh.

That being said, I eat almost anything under the sun:D :D but it all depends on how the food is cooked. For instance, I would not be able to eat pork/chicken/mutton, etc prepared in a particular style. When I was in university hostel, I never used to eat mutton served in the hostel because of a peculiar smell. I also don't like to eat pork prepared in many Indian restaurants even though pork is one of my favorite meat. The reason why I prefer to eat at home, cooked by self or by my other Naga friends (especially red meat).

Also, I love internal organs of animals but unless it is prepared by me or someone/people that I trust (in terms of cleaning thoroughly & methodically which is different from simple cleaning), I don't eat them just like that. In fact, I hardly eat them at all in Delhi except when I go home (there, I eat them to my heart's content).:)

When our family went swimming, few fishermen gathered in one cottage. With my stricken curiosity, i approached them and engaged in the conversation on what they were preparing.

To my surprise, it was a baby shark they caught nearby. I tasted it - RAW - with vinegar and some other spices.

I didn't swallow it, as i was like eating a bubble gum. It tasted just like any raw fish, though, only that it's hard to digest.

You should try it sometime. Some recipes call for snake, depending on your ailment. :D

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food so these are the nastiest things I've eaten:

asperagus
horseradish
thousand island dressing
very unripe banana

and any gristle from beef/chicken makes my gag reflex go crazy. Ick!

Yeah, cow's tongue and liver are pretty bad.

I have another story. Several years ago I was watching Monster House (the movie) on TV. For some reason, I was enthralled. It was a hot day and I had a glass filled with ice cubes. During the movie, I drank from the glass and crushed the ice in my mouth all without looking what I was doing. At some point, I tasted copper in my mouth and looked down. To my horror, I had bitten out a huge chunk of the glass and had been chewing that, not the ice cubes! So I freaked out, spat the remaining shards of glass onto the carpet, where they congealed with blood and ran my mouth under the water tap. In the end, my tongue and mouth were cut up like crazy, so I spat out a lot of blood. I feel squeamish around blood, especially my own, so I felt very faint and almost did faint. To this day, whenever I'm eating ice cubes from a glass I watch what I'm doing. That particular moment was very scary. I'm just glad I didn't get to the point of swallowing the glass!

Wow! What a scary experience. It must have been a very thin glass to be able to bite into it. This reminds me of the show called My Strange Addiction with an episode that featured a man who literally ate light bulbs, champagne glass, and even bullets . I wonder what the condition of his digestive tract is with such a dangerous habit.

I looove bitter herbs and vegetables: Bitter gourd, Indian pennywort (centella asiatica), bitter brinjal (small and round), passion fruit leaves, and so many many other more. Many of these herbs/vegetables have strong medicinal value and can be found only in specific regions. I could eat them anytime of the day. In fact, I consumed them on regular basis.

Maybe thats partially the reason why I have ever been hospitalised only once in my life (when I was 17-18 years old for typhoid infection) and have never had any major health problem uptil date.
