I watched Dr. Phil today, and it featured a four year old girl who has androgen insensitivity syndrome, meaning she was born with female traits, but has underdeveloped male genitalia inside her and was born genetically a male.
Apparently it's not all that rare-it happens to about 1 in 3,000 people. Of course God gave them a predetermined gender, but how will they find it? They'll be so confused about gender identity. And once they start deciding on what gender they are attracted to, how do they know if what they chose is homosexuality or not? They'll never be able to know if they're doing it right or wrong.
Take the little girl for example. She already considers herself a boy, and what if she's right? So then she goes living her life like that and will face questions of homosexuality, gender change, etc.
I just thought it was really interesting and something not very discussed.

I watched that episode too... I don't really know what to think of it except that we have a merciful God. I tend to lean toward the genetic predisposition being the accurate gender and thus the child should "become" that gender. Even more interesting statistic... ambiguous genitalia has the same prevalence as being born with red hair.

I just think it goes to show that we shouldn't be so quick to judge. You don't always know what a person's individual situation is, and what the complexities of it are.

I think God makes an exception for those people. In other words, He won't consider it homosexuality no matter what sex they end up being married to.
