Hello Fellow Christians so yet another disaster has sadly fallen upon Earth and innocent people have been killed but what as I was told that the end of the world will occur during lots of natural disasters, well recently we have had lots and so I fear that the end of the world is close perhaps even in our lifetime?

Please give me ur thoughts

God Bless

Jonno

There has been people preaching about the end of times for as long as I can remember I'd take it with a grain of salt. The reason why Japan got hit with an earthquake is because it's on a fault line. There the Pacific plate is pushing against the Philippine Sea Plate pushing against the Eurasian Plate and all that friction has to be released when that happens you get earth quacks. It's also a good sign that the earth is geologically active. If we didn't have them we'd basically loose our magnetic field and the next solar flair would then fry everything. However since the earth releases as much energy as the sun gives back we don't have to worry too much about that. So geologic events although they do hurt people and everything else that's there, it's like having a simple chest cold then thinking your lungs are going to come out, type of analogy. So I wouldn't put too much stock in people using scare tactics like this. It only means they really don't get geology. Now if it happened where there isn't a plate edge then I would be looking for another cause. I hope this helps you sleep easier. <3

KisDawn's absolutely right. People have always said that the world is going to end. There was the Y2K crisis back in 2000, the gulf of mexico oil spill last year and most recently with the japan earthquake/tsunami. I would just ignore all of it really. It's just people over reacting!

the difference between [y2k and the oil spills] and 2012 is that the things the previous tragedies threatened to take away were things we could live without, things that wouldn't threaten the human race..

Yes people have always been talking about the end of times, but dont you think that the disasters happens to frequently(sorry im not english),

If you look at statistics (not that i look at it much, I just saw it once), you will see that every generation the figures went up.... but in this generation it has about doubled.

Also Jesus said, that He will use His prophets to reveal more about the end times, which I believe He does....thats what I found!

Just make sure that you live everyday as if its the last - me included!

People have said the end is coming for years and years (Hundreds.) But let's be real. God even said no one will know the time of the end. The signs are relative, because they ALWAYS exist. Until Jesus returns, no one will know when the end is coming. It's not worth trying to figure out, either. Just live your life to the fullest and Godliest and you won't regret anything.
