I would say doing anything that God doesn't want you to do. It's a lot easier to have things cut and dry and have rules about 'do this to be godly, do this to be worldly' In the end, though, it really comes down to your intentions. If your intention is to 'go have fun and relax and unwind' then you're doing something worldly. If you're going because God has shown you that he wants you there, then you're probably on the right track. It's not easy, it's really really hard, but it is what God has called us to do. There is no "if you ever do this, then you're evil". There certainly are things that are almost always evil, but even those things are evil just because they are against God's will.

To me it sounds like you were not acting righteously or seeking to follow God, but rather to go have fun with your friends. That to me sounds worldly.

You're assuming a lot from a short sentence. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having fun, relaxing and unwinding. The problem is when ultimate pleasure becomes your God. Also, it depends on what sort of parties you're attending.

Seems to me the concept is priorities. Which is your bigger priority, God and your walk with Him, or fitting in with what the world dictates on how we should act. Would you rather do things to be accepted by the world, or by God?

And as Tintin said, having fun and relaxing is not, in and of itself, being a friend of the world. There's nothing specifically Christian about being uptight and bored.

Not assume. Believe. No matter what the situation, I believe that everything any of us do should be seeking after God's will. In everything, I seek to never take a break from following God. I don't think any Christian is given permission to take a break and go do something just to do it. Do I think God wants us to work all of the time? Certainly not, but I do think that even in our fun we should be very specifically seeking after God. Isn't that what it means to give your life (your entire life) to God? That's what He asks from us. To daily deny ourselves, our own desires, our own will and follow Him. Always.

Thanks for the info everyone,
i live in a small town in southamerica, so the parties I go to are in the town square, right next to the church.
The parties could be "considered" christian sinse the dancers and singers let out a few "praise the lords" and "god bless you".
And alot of the traditional bachatas they sing contain lyrics praising god. and almost every car in southamerica has some kind of crucific or cross in it. Which to me is all good.

And heres the downside: 10% of the people that go to the square and dance, will get very drunk. There is often fights and brawling in the next block. The dancers on stage are often clothed scantilly, and the DJ will play lots of reggaeton songs after the dancers are done with performing, which are noce songs, but some contain dirty lyrics and promotes people to do sensual dancing. The pastor from my church said, i shouldn't be drinking or dancing like crazy with the girls. Which i do agree to some extent,
but not to full extent like "dont put your arm around the girl" or dont do this, or that. God created man and woman for each other right? So i would say, as long as im not lusting, I can go dance freely.???

Well. Its not that bad, my specific town does not allow drinking in front of the church, unlike the neiboring town where i went to. And its like evverybody is there, even some people from my church(not many) and alot of people from the catholic church go to them as well ( they happen every 2-3 weeks).
and its right in front of the church, so somehow theirs this sense that its ok.

Mom told me it means having sex unmarried because other people around you are doing and smoking, drinking to fit in with the world.
