I believe god made them that way, as we all know it has been proven that homosexuality is not a choice. Maybe it is a test for them, to see if they are strong enough to not be tempted by the way they feel.

James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

I like many was taught in Sunday School that no sin is greater than another. If you lie you are just as guilty as stealing. Classifying sin in different categories is like saying God's forgiveness and love is different towards each sin or person. This is why non-christians laugh at us, because we can't agree on most anything as well.

Please provide scripture evidence for this.

See, not all sin is equal in the bible. Some sins are called 'abominations', while others are not. Sexual sins are set apart from other sins because it is a sin against your body, no other sin is.
In the broad spectrum of things, yes, sin is sin, as in no matter the sin, it all has the same consequence and same need for forgiveness. But more accurately all sins are not the same in Gods eyes. Really, the important part is that all sin can be forgiven.
James 2:10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yest stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking of all it.

I feel like saying there are different levels of sin is like saying God's love for us has different levels.

Instead of asking is this right or wrong we need to look into this issue deeper than just for face value.
1. What is sin?
An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.
2. What is divine law?
Divine law is any law that comes directly from the will of God. In our case written down by a man "inspired by the Holy Spirit."
3. Who wrote the law?
Man has written both the divine and human laws.
Hence the sanction of such laws may very well be said to depend on man's decree, for it principally depends on the power of the human mind; so that the human mind in respect to its perception of things as true and false, can readily be conceived as without such laws, but not without necessary law as we have just defined it. However it may be revealed it may change in human perception in time through new revelation.
4. When were theses laws written?
The Old Testament was originally written between the 16th and 12th century. The New Testament was written 100-300 years after Christ dies. So, we do not have exact dates.
5. How old is the Bible? Is Christianity the oldest religion?
The Bible is over 3,400 years old. Despite popular belief it is not the oldest know religion. Keep in mind that written History is only 5,000 years old. There are several Books/Epistles that were not included in the Bible we have today. These include the Apocalypse of Peter, Epistle of Barnabas, Gospel of James, Shepherd of Hermas, 1st Clement, Gospel of Thomas, The Didache, and The Third Letter to the Corinthians. The Bible also suggests that there was another letter written the Church Of Corinth. 1 Corinthians 5:9 - I wrote to you in my previous letter not to associate with sexually immoral people. We have no evidence of this letter.
6. Why weren't these included? Who decided what went into the Bible?
The Council of Nicaea,Which was a group of Bishops of the early Christian Church appointed by the Roman Emperor Constantine in AD 325, decided what when in the Bible and what didn't. Their are many speculations as to why theses accounts were not put in the Bible.
7. How many time has the Bible been translated?
The Bible as of today has been translated into 531 languages. The Original translations were in Hebrew and Koine Greek. Like all languages, Greek and Hebrew have some idioms and concepts not easily translated. The Church to this day has debated as to give a word for word translation or to give a translation that give a parallel idiom in the target language. Churches have split, new doctrines have been made, and all have argued we are right and the only way. We also have Churches that add there own Scriptures such as the Mormon church. There have even been debates over the deity of Christ due to the many translations.
8. When did the word homosexual appear in the Bible?
In 1946... There are arguments on both sides of the table that suggests it is the correct word and that it's far from from the correct word chosen for translation from the original text(s).

This Brings a main concern to our attention. Is the Bible we have today the same as it was thousands of years ago? The answer is..Have things been lost in translation? .. Did man have any influence in what was written and originally went into the Bible?.. Should we live the Bible literally?
Your main answer should be: I am not sure, or I don't know. I do not know any one person that lives the Bible/Law literally as it was written then today. It everything so black and white as most modern Christians say? I don't think so. There have been many laws, rules, doctrines, changed or removed because they are no longer considered relevant for today. I was raised in the Pentecostal Church. Other churches feel that speaking in tongues, prophesying, miracles, healing, raising the dead, and other manifestations of the Spirit are no longer for today. Who are why was this decided. The Pentecostal church teaches that there are two baptisms. One at Salvation which is into Christ and the another Baptism in the Holy Spirit, with evidence of speaking in tongues. This Baptism is to be sought and prayed for. Other churches believe that there is only one Baptism and the Holy Spirit is received then. The Pentecostal Church believes in instant sanctification which is also separate from salvation and the baptism in the holy spirit. Others believe that sanctification is a life long process. Some Churches Baptize in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Others baptize in Jesus' name only. Some by submersion and some by sprinkling. Each church states they are correct and the only way to heaven. So there are many debates over how things are to be done.
There are Churches that believe if a woman cuts her hair, wears make-up, jewelry, or pants they are sinning. Others do not teach this. Some say that if a man wears shorts or short sleeve shirts, they are sinning. Others do not. Why are there so many difference????
Because man influences the divine law. Man changes it and translates it to suit them.
9. What else has been determined to no longer apply to today? What else does the church not follow today?
Since we are no longer under the law but under grace let's just take the New Testament into perspective. We all know that Jesus did not speak on the subject of homosexuality. We all know that Paul did. Paul also states that women should learn in silence and to remain quiet. Women are not to teach or exercise authority. He also states that it's disgraceful for women to have short hair, wear makeup, braid their hair, or wear jewelry. All these things have been ignored in most churches and if they do follow these teaching they are called fanatics.
What are other teachings the Christian Church does not follow?(from the New Testament)
Obey the laws of the land. When you break the law, you sin. How many have ran a red light? Speed? Jay walked? Did you ask God to forgive you of these offenses?
If you divorce your wife you have committed adultery. Who every marries her commits adultery.
I am sure no one has every gotten a divorce or married a divorcee, right?
If you look at a woman and lust you have also committed adultery.
Now this should hit home to a lot of men. Did you ask God to forgive you when you did this?
When a woman prays or prophesies, her head should be covered.
If we claim to be without sin, we are a liar and the truth is not in us.
I don't know how many times I have heard some Christians say to me, "Since I got saved, I have not willfully sinned."
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer.
So have you been put in jail or to death for hating someone? Did you ask God to forgive you.

I believe that the Bible is a History and Guide Book. I believe that if we accept Christ into our heart and follow his teachings we will be just fine. I think that if we will just follow the new and most important commandment, we are doing as Jesus did.

John 13:34-35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved your, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Mark 12:30-31
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love you neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater.

... And the answer is yes, homosexuality is wrong.Clearly says so in the Bible...
Hey, I'm not the expert when it comes to interpreting the bible, but from the forums and talks with "my" pastor I get the feeling there may be other ways to read those passages from Lev and Rom. Maybe the bible doesn't say it as "clearly" as you suggest. Just my 2 cents, not trying to provoke an argument. From experience I know you shouldn't go too near a fire if you don't want to get burned.

But at the same time I feel awfully cold and lonely at times, and just HAVE to go near that fire. There's the strong urge to feel God's love, but I don't want to deny my feelings. In other words: though I truly want to be a christian, that's going to be really difficult if that literal interpretation is true. It really shouldn't have be this hard, I mean: doesn't Jesus say "my yoke is easy?" No offense, just expressing my thoughts and feelings.

I think if Homosexuality was to be allowed, then God in the first place would have not created Eve. You see, there is a reason as to why God had created Eve and not another man to be a companion to Adam. Plus I don believe anybody can be born a homosexual, I wonder even how one ends up being a homosexual, it's even against the laws of nature. So the answer to your question is No, homosexuality ain't right. And if in a case where a homosexual gets born again, it's only God who can change that state, which is going to be a process. and this process can be long or short depending on how the individual really wants to change from being a homosexual.

I would agree... Thank you for sharing.
I know and have attended a few Gay Affirming Churches. They have awesome explanations for all of these things BUT of course other Churches state that they are lies from the Devil. Your words exactly, why does it have to be this hard???

I disagree, homosexuality is not against the laws of "nature" as you stated. Homosexuality in almost all species and of course for as long as history has been recorded. We all know that "in the beginning" everything was perfect. Or as God stated "it is good." Once man sinned, and as an Omniscient God, he knew thy would, everything then became tainted. So nothing really came out the way it intended to be.

Don't get me wrong, IF the literal interpretation is indeed true then that's something I just have to deal with. I don't want to make the truth [whatever that truth may be] subordinate to my own personal condition or preferences. So I would never attend such churches, if fact they probably make feel uncomfortable. But I do think we should create awareness about our situation, and stress the fact other interpretations could also be possible.

So by that logic ... heroine is good?

How about playing in traffic?

For that matter, lets just cut to the chase and add suicide.

All of those things are acts of our free will...
so we should just do ANYTHING our free will allows?

It's not about those things, we're talking bout homosexuality, and all those things have nothing to do with it but if that is what a person chooses to do and if that's what they have thief mind set on then that's what they are going to do, just like you didn't have to reply to this post but you did, instead of replying you coulda took a nap or did your homework or went to work, but those things have nothing to do with it so beat the block!

Strangely enough adults are banned from the Teen Room, but here they're allowed to just barge in whenever they please, lol.
