The Bible says we are to be masters of our body. It also says to die to flesh. To master means to have complete control over. So tell me, do you have the controll to stop whenever you wish. Who's ruling who? Your flesh or your the spirit man? I'ts not easy by any means, but don't be fooled by satan. It can be done !! Here's a secret, don't focus on stopping the act focus on completely changing your life to be like Christ.

Christ said in Matthew 5:28 that even if you look at a woman with lust is already committing adultery. Same applies to masterbation

Only the thought of a sin with acceptance of said sin is a sin

Of course it's a sin ! And the Lord's Word clearly talks about it, but in a very subtle way.

It's written :

" But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. "

Matthew 5:28-30 ( KJV )

Okay, you will notice that right after Jesus condemns any man lusting after a woman,
He talks about the offending right eye. Why the offending right eye ?
What organ does an offending man use to lust ?
Isn't it the right eye ?
Right after Jesus talked about the offending eye, He talked about the offending right hand.
Why the offending right hand ? What organ does an offending man use to commit adultery with a woman in his heart ( masturbation ) ?
Isn't it the right hand ? ( the right hand is the right hand of a righty, and the left hand is the right hand of a lefty )

It's also written :

" I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
2 For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
3 Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
4 Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
5 If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
6 Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.

7 If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands; " Job 31:1-7 ( KJV )

And you will notice it's in the same order of what Jesus said in Matthew 5:28-30.
First, the offending lusting eyes are condemned,
and right after the offending masturbating hands are condemned.

The Scriptures couldn't be more clear !

yes, it is a sin, doing so simply is pleasing your own flesh. When you know your wife or husband you are striving to please them in the act of love making.

Well it does tell you that your body is not your own to please.
Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
And fornication is sexual pleasure while unmarried either with another or not.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

It's the thought behind it. Not every single time it is a sin. You don't know what other people are thinking. Most of the time people are being sinful when they do it but not every time.

Lust is a sin, unless you are married. Then you can lust over her all you want.

But once you're married, why masturbate?

Here are some facts about masturbation:
Masturbation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Well, you are right that lust is a sin, but I'm sorry that we don't agree about lusting over the wife, however, the bed is undefiled. Lust is a personnel pleasure. Well, anyway like you said get married.

Thoughts for you to consider to come to your own conclusion.

1.) Is masturbation glorifying to God?

2.) If we knew for a fact Jesus was coming in 24 hours, what would you be doing? I know I wouldn't be masturbating!

3.) Masturbating is gratifying the flesh. (which if you live by the spirit, you can't gratify the flesh according to Galatians 5:17).

4.) Masturbation is a sexual act. Sex is meant for married couples. Therefore, Masturbation is sexual immorality.

5.) The fact that you have to ask more than likely means your conscious is being convicted by the holy spirit.

For anyone who doesn't think it is a sin, humor us all and try to stop, try your very hardest, try for a month, you'll be singing a different tune once you realize the full extent of the control it's gained over you

The Bible never explicitly mentions masturbation or states whether or not masturbation is a sin. The Scripture most frequently pointed to in regards to masturbation is the story of Onan in Genesis 38:9-10. Some interpret this passage as saying that “spilling your seed” on the ground is a sin. However, that is not precisely what the passage is saying. God condemned Onan not for “spilling his seed” but because Onan refused to fulfill his duty to provide an heir for his brother. The passage is not about masturbation, but rather about fulfilling a family duty. A second passage sometimes used as evidence for masturbation’s being a sin is Matthew 5:27-30. Jesus speaks against having lustful thoughts and then says, “If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.” While there are parallels between this passage and masturbation, it is unlikely that masturbation was what Jesus was alluding to.

While the Bible nowhere explicitly states that masturbation is a sin, there is no question as to whether the actions that lead to masturbation are sinful. Masturbation is nearly always the result of lustful thoughts, sexual stimulation, and/or pornographic images. It is these problems that need to be dealt with. If the sins of lust, immoral thoughts, and pornography are forsaken and overcome, masturbation will become a non-issue. Many people struggle with guilty feelings concerning masturbation, when in reality, the things that led to the act are far more worthy of repentance.

There are some biblical principles that can be applied to the issue of masturbation. Ephesians 5:3 declares, “Among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity.” It is hard to see how masturbating can pass that particular test. The Bible teaches us, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). If you cannot give God glory for something, you should not do it. If a person is not fully convinced that an activity is pleasing to God, then it is a sin: “Everything that does not come from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). Further, we need to remember that our bodies have been redeemed and belong to God. “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). This great truth should have a real bearing on what we do with our bodies. In light of these principles, the conclusion that masturbation is a sin is biblical. Clearly, masturbation is not glorifying to God; it does not avoid the appearance of immorality, nor does it pass the test of God’s having ownership over our bodies.
