The bible is written long ago. I see it as a map and tool to find God.
I do not belive that everything that is written in it is true (far from it) and you'll have to view it in its historical context.
You have a very warped view of the Scriptures. Nowhere in Scripture, Old or New Testament does it say we can dabble in sin or sin in moderation. If you don't accept the Scriptures in their entirety then you don't accept any of it. The Bible - Old and New Testament is God's Word. If there's some of it you don't believe then you are calling God a liar. You're either with God completely or your against Him. What's it to be?

You know that there are quite big groups in the christian society that does not take the scripture literary. Protestants and Catholics for example.

To me (and to most other protestant) the bible is not a "my way or the highway" and there is a difference from the soul of the bible and the historical context it is written in.

I do not see the world in black and white.

Okay so using your logic, you follow every word of the bible correct?
