Okay Jeff, I see where you are going. I understand what you mean. Yes I know much of the word is not preached correctly this is why its not common in churches today to teach people how to evangelise which should be the main focus of church. The only way anyone will be able to please god is by the Holy Spirit. The Lord our King Jesus the Christ said this and so I follow it. What this means is we take everything Jesus said and live by, the old testament is important and the ten commandments are still things we must live by. While I see your reasoning for mentioning the lack of correct teaching in the church I think you could do a better job of explaining or rather leaving out the jargon, words that don't necessarily have much to do with the conversation like "emissaries" etc. I think it would be better to use ambassadors of Christ as this is common phrase used amongst christians and makes the point.

If we want to talk biblical we must start at what the King said and go back and forward. As a gentile the saved by grace by the blood of the King Jesus the Christ, His words are the foundation then we lead to Old testament and the apostles.

I must say that your life would be simpler if you lived by what the King says in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. If you speak/minister from this point the rest of the bible is easier to grasp. I am by no means saying I know more however I am always ready to understand what you are trying to explain and agree that much of the truth of the Gospel of Peace is not preached the way it should.

I encourage you to simplify your argument and also focus on evangelism to non-believers in your community as this is the focal point of our ministry, in doing so you learn to better approach believers and non-believers as you see the light of the Gospel bring life to others. In so doing the Holy Spirit works in you and you begin to understand why the King Jesus the Christ died. Not just for us but for the many that live around you.

it looks like you're right in seeking yahshua(yes, JESUS) and the TRUTH in the 4 GOSPELS ,

and
remember that the other letters in the NT show how the believers received the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS
and
how they lived before the heresy got control of the state controlled church which is still most prevalent today.

it looks like you really are seeking JESUS and the TRUTH, whereas most posters and members even make it clear that they are not, and

that is why , perhaps, I am not as direct about some things as I would like to be (and you would like better also).

when plain direct TRUTH is posted, in this forum, there are too many opposing it and picking it apart and

putting "the other side" (i.e. a different and not real gospel) to carry on a delightful, true, spiritual, biblical, and edifying conversation
because the "other side" is not kept at bay - they run in and post and post again and post again and
"keep the rules" WELL enough to not be censored or banned ,

so the threads , even "good ones" (humanly speaking) , get more false information posted than true information.

in the assembly of ekklesia(believers, born again ones, set apart ones)

<<< p.s. "emissary" is commonly known and used in some places... and here i think it is better descriptive of who and what the apostles were called and chosen for... not 'elite' but 'common men' called and chosen by the ALMIGHTY SOVEREIGN CREATOR to show HIS MERCY AND PLAN and PURPOSE in CHRIST JESUS......

vs the "OH, "APOSTLES" - we can never be like them, or like JESUS" .... whereas we are told to be - we are told
by JESUS to be perfect (and this is true, and requires understanding of what JESUS means and how it is accomplished ---- simple, but fought tooth and nail by other forum posters)....

i guess this is a long way of saying

i hope you are as it looks like - truly seeking JESUS and TRUTH
and
with GOD'S WORD i advocate(agree) with TEST EVERYTHING no matter who says it TEST EVERYONE not
for
the
purpose of condemning at all, but with the hope and expectation of POSITIVE RESULT (as it is written in GOD'S WORD).....

often reminding one another ( and i did read and will re-read more than once what you have said for me)
of
what
GOD has said and done for us and what we are to be careful to guard and to do and how we are to act and live as GOD'S PEOPLE, in union with HIM in YAHSHUA(JESUS)... IN UNION as ONE as GOD and JESUS are ONE, yes. so true, so simple, so powerful (HIS POWER; HIS to accomplish; HIS delight to do).

since we are 'immersed' in a society that is more and more wicked,
and often in 'churches' that have little to do with the BIBLE (we grow up without knowing the TRUTH most of the tiime, in most of the churches on EARTH, in most places in the WORLD....

we have literally AN IMPOSSIBLE JOB TO DO (as JESUS says)

but what is impossible for man, GOD can accomplish. let us see what HE WILL DO, what HE WANTS,

(always in line with HIS WORD completely), and let us SEEK HIM and keep SEEKING HIM

I agree, there are other gospels out there. It is important as believers of the true Gospel preached by the King Jesus the Christ that we correct others in love. The prosperity gospel which is a different gospel which hurts the church is destructive to believers faith and should not be preached. There are many preaching gospels made by man with their different philosophies hoping to better understand the scriptures by having a structure behind seeing the scriptures. My attention is upon the King Jesus the Christ who speaks everything required for our benefit while we are aware that Paul has some confusing teachings I know these are specific to the churches during those times.

So while I am on this earth we should come to an understanding of scripture together and come into an alliance with the Truth of God's word to better educate and bring christians to the truth. With the love of God and the light that has been given us by His Spirit we will be able to assist new and misguided christians.

When you are ready make another post so we can discuss how to better discuss truth and combat false doctrines.

Wow, I need Jesus. I'm so tired really. Its a battle. I really need to keep a log and be encouraged to walk holy. I'm praying for change. I want it, I need it. I know its a daily thing, I thought I could do it alone even though I initially came on here to boast of how I knew I needed to connected. I am on here to walk closer to God and rid myself of this thorn, I will pluck out my eye if necessary.. Your prayers are really appreciated. I'm definitely going to be on here everyday giving an update on how I'm going. I know God loves me and I know by His power I can be free of this.

Well I'll start my log here with new devotion and motivation. My desire for porn was set off today by a rejection of lack of acknowledgement by my home group/cell group and other church members. I felt ostracised by them not replying in group chat or saying something. I knew they seen my comment which was just letting them know I won't be at cell group because I'm working through January and none of them said a thing like at least say "Hey yeah, okay man we'll see you next time or sorry you can't make it. got to work.. " Just no response and this is two seperate groups from my church. I mean I've been there for a year and have gotten to know a few of them and there's like 10 to 15 in each chat room. No one acknowledged my presence. I was angry and disappointed. Man..I don't now I need to pray about this it's really an offence I'm dealing with here.. I'm going to pray about it. I know its odd not to respond, I mean I should respond now when I see someone message and will do in future in chat room cos I know how it feels to be neglected.. I found it really odd, as if I'd done something but I can't think I'd done anything. We had the long christmas break and I didn't go to church in december which I don't usually do but did do movie night with some of the guys, some of the other girls and guys were on missions trip overseas. I don't know I'm just finding it odd. Thinking about it I need to respond to group chat even if I'm not interested. I'm going to pray about it, I don't know its been a whole day and half no reply.. I'm putting it behind me.. I've muted the conversation in Facebook and just decided to not look at it but it really weighs on my mind. I need to pray and just chill.

Thank you for your prayers.

Got this from bible gateway:
[h=3]Check Under the Hood[/h]"But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." - Colossians 3:8
"The root issue you are dealing with is fear. The physical symptom is control, and when you cannot control, you get angry because of unmet expectations." These were the words I spoke during a conversation in a restaurant to my friend who was separated from his wife. He described his anger and how he never saw some of these characteristics in his life until he entered this marriage.
A friend once said to me, "Anger is like the lights on a dashboard. They tell you something is going on under the hood. You must find out the source of the problem." Whenever we have expectations of another person and those expectations do not materialize, our tendency is to get angry. The source of the anger is often the fear that the unmet expectation will negatively impact us. We fear that our finances, our well-being, our image, or any number of things may be impacted by the unmet expectation. My friend's wife had not met his expectations in many areas of his life, so then, many times it resulted in harsh words that damaged his wife's self-esteem. Now, it was leading to a marriage crisis.
Jesus often spoke of living as though we were dead. How can you live as though you are dead? "In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 6:11). It is a choice each of us must make. Once you become dead to that which stirs an emotion in you, God is free to change that situation. Until then, you can expect God to allow that situation to remain until you reckon yourself dead to the effects of the issue that causes you to struggle.
Is there something that causes anger within you? Ask God what the source of that anger is. You might be surprised at what you find. Then ask God to give you the grace to reckon yourself dead to that issue. You will find new freedom in your relationships and your own peace of mind.

Well today was great, had a challenge early in the morning. Tempted but then the power of God by His Holy Spirit spoke to me and He empowered me to resist. Last night I listened to an instructor on staying positive and getting rid of negative thoughts, thinking positively as he eluded to Christ being one of the best examples. I understood what he meant and decided to do this, wake up each morning (I still need to buy the elastic band to put on my writ so when I think negatively to snap it).

Today was great, woke up with a song put on some Hillsong and Delirious, ate breakfast while watching Seinfeld then got to my studies. did an 1 hour workout and ran for 20 minutes after. came back ate and dug into my studies which I'm in the middle of doing now..

Good bless you all.. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ He is King.

Thank you for commenting my brother. I hope you are well? I know that I need to not only pray for myself but in order that I change I must pray for others. So making a list and praying for friends, family and who ever needs it. Let live as extroverts and pray in the quiet of our homes. We are truly blessed. So many people suffering, Lord we are blessed. To God be the glory..

Monday 8th Feb 2016

With my family over the weekend I have my daughter every fortnight. Was great, took her to the optometrist and got her some glasses for her first year of High school. Everyone thinks I'm her brother, has a lot to do with her height and the Spirit of God that is on me. I am young though, don't drink, don't smoke. Gods ways are higher, no need for alcohol. Not saying you shouldn't but you don't need to. Anyways was a great weekend being with mom and dad and younger brother.. We don't always get to see my brother, he's usually working, with friends or out with his new girlfriend so we got to spend a sunday with with him which was great.

Well today was good even though got woken up by the noisy flatmate :), a little rowdy this fella is. Decided to think of Gods goodness and great love for us, a bit of a ruckus in the hall way as I lay in bed waiting for him to complete the conversation or rather the argument he was having with what sounded like a lady friend who wanted her pillow case back but he wouldn't give her back. It was quite obviously hers but he wasn't about to give it up so he ignored her advances and asked her to leave. I'm not living with only christians in this shared accomodation house. I've had the opportunity to share the gospel with many of the people that have lived here, just recently debated with a muslim tenant who's left for work last friday and as we discussed he began to see that there was no shaking may foundation and understanding of scripture, having listened to a lot of debaters I knew what he was going to say and had the answers for his questions. Anyways enough of my love for debates and discussions on how Christ is the redeemer and Mohammad is a tyrant. Don't say this to a muslim, between you and me Mohammad was a tyrant and killed his own people to get his way, nothing more than a militant who had convulsions and claimed to hear from God. A quick tip if you want to have a look into this: type in google "List of expeditions of Muhammad" and "Quran verses on Violence" furthermore if you actually read what Mohammad says about Noah and Moses it doesn't coincide with the Bible/Torah which then makes him a liar for fabricating their characters and making Gods character different. (as I've read some of the Quran, enough of the verses to know how to lead muslims to Christ. For a long time I was discussing the scripture with muslims online delving into their corrupt book).

Today was great, the Lord Jesus the Christ is Good and His power is the power we need to rely on, I need to rely on Him daily I need Him. Back to my studies. God bless you all and if you need prayer let me pray for you as I pray for myself. Manage those thoughts and stay close to God in prayer and by His Spirit.

Told myself today "Not gonna do it I got Jesus".
As soon as the thought came "I got Jesus not gonna do it".

I just stuck to my studies and "I got Jesus I'm not gonna do it".

Amen! Brother focus on God.. Read his word. ... Fill your mind and spare time with his things.. That helps weed out the bad stuff and doesn't leave room for it.
