I am more and more realizing that the enemy can diguise himself for the world to consume. Such as the Easter bunny. Easter is all about God and yet when people think of Easter they will think of candy and bunny's and Easter eggs.
Bunny's don't even lay eggs. Just a few weeks ago we were talking about how people think of the devil they think of this red creature with a pointed tail but that is his way of fooling us all and we have to be careful. I am really not sure what I am getting too. I just felt like posting this.

I agree it's sad but some of the holidays have been covered up the true meaning behind them. Not just Easter, or Christmas, but also Valentines Day, and St Patrick's day.

i was listening to a pop culture song that talked about inviting things in and taking control of them and other things if you stop and actually listen to the words are pretty disturbing. you know magical spells used to be sung or chanted. i would be careful what you allow to take root in your mind and hearts. I don't think you stop listening but just pay attention to what you sing along to and what words you are singing, because the spoken word has power. Remember God is in control so there's nothing to worry if you do His will for your life. :)

While this wasn't your main point and was more of an example, I just wanted to share the following with you.

Easter was an entirely pagan Holiday before it was ever introduced to Christianity. That is where the rabbit and eggs come from (they represent fertility). In fact most holidays, Christmas included, were originally pagan before they became Christianized. Typically, it was to help the conversion of the culture they were assimilating. In other words, most of the pagan themes were left in (feasting, singing, gifts, decorating trees, hanging stockings to collect gifts, etc...) and it is given a Christian spin by associating an event in Christian history to that day (Jesus' birth, Jesus' resurrection, etc...).

This isn't meant to knock Christianity, so don't get me wrong. Most people don't realize these holidays were pagan first simply because they are used to celebrating them the more modern Christian way.

"Bunnies don't even lay eggs" haha! It is rediculous how easter got transformed into a holiday reflecting a bunny leaving chocolate eggs in a basket. I will not give my future children chocolate eggs on easter! That must insult Jesus.. Praise God, however, for the true reason for celebrating on Easter.

This shouldn't surprise you. These are only imaginations that try and exalt themselves against the knowledge of Christ, and his sacrifice. Anything they can do to keep him out of it they will do, even if they have to worship a fat Devil with reindeer.
