She stared intently at me as I spoke and after listening smiled exhaustively. 'Are you sure?' she asked. 'Yes,' I whispered; He has always been and is still on the throne. 'Then why did He allow these occurrences in my life?' she asked looking confused. 'He didn't dear, He really didn't' I replied. I saw the pain in her eyes even as she spoke. I wrapped my arms around her, breaking into tears even as I did. 'Please Lord give me the words to say to her, I really do not know what to say' I prayed.

I had come to minister to some of the women at a particular shelter close to the area I and my family recently moved into. Our eyes met hers immediately I entered the shelter, but she immediately lowered hers. I followed her eyes down to her clasped palms placed at the front of her protruding stomach. She looked about the ages of 16 to 17, I sighed mentally and walked up to her, and thus we began conversing. She had grown up in a christian home, and had come to love God and His word at the early age of 5. By the time she was 6 years of age, she lost both of her parents in an automobile accident, and was placed in the care of her mother's elder brother. He was married and had two boys which were both older than she was by over 3 years of age. About 3 months after her arrival, her nephews began to sexually abuse her, and this lasted until she was 14 years of age. She was threatened with death and starvation if she spoke up, and with their parents who were barely around, her fate was sealed. She was so tired of her life, but was afraid to bring an end to it by herself. The thought had come severally, but she had never found the courage to do it.

Joy filled her heart when her uncle told her that she would be registering her WAEC herself. She made up her mind never to return to the house, and with the money boarded a bus even when she had no idea where it was going, and life went on from there. She had moved from one open place to another: sometimes in an uncompleted building, sometimes under the bridge, sometimes in the corridor of shops after the owners had left for home, and had somehow managed to survive by doing menial jobs. She had managed to survive further sexual abuse until a particular night everything went wrong, and even if she wanted to forget, the evidence of that night was right there with her; a burden she never asked for.
'O Lord take over my words, bring her healing even as I speak,' I muttered even as I continued to hold her body wracking with great amount of sobs.'

Dear Believer,
Not every believer has been called to be a missionary, music minister, or what have you? Some have been called to be Christian Counsellors or Christian Psychologists, who do not just work with academic or circular knowledge, but give counsel and solutions based on the wisdom gotten from the Holy Spirit and The Word of God, to the individuals involved. These are persons who the Lord might allow go through some experiences in life that will leave them with no other choice than to put on the shoes of these ones in different colours and sizes, and as such can totally relate to them. When those stirrings begin to arise, don't suppress them believer; let the Lord do what He will with you the way He chooses. There are so many out there carrying heavy loads of pain, distress, depression, strangling life out of them, many that have so many things eating them up, but have no one they can confide in, many who want to speak and cry out loud but have no one to pour their hearts out to. They need you! Yes you!! The psychologist/Counsellor with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the one who can discern while they are still speaking, the one who will go beyond the office and fight this battle with them on their knees, the one who will shine the Light of Christ to them till the darkness in them passes away, and the Light of Christ takes over, the one who will bring healing to them with their words and on their knees. If you will receive this call in the long run believer, or if you have received this call, please do not hold back, there are so many out there who are in need... Christians Arise!
