Just to clarify, while doing right and living a good life is good to do, it won't get you into heaven.
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. - Isaiah 64:6
Thankfully, through repenting of sins and believing on Jesus Christ as our Saviour we can live a renewed life in Him!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. - Psalms 51:10
Once we are made new in Christ we can begin to live our lives properly and strive to grow in him everyday so we do less and less bad things.
