Ok, so I have read a lot of the threads about conspiracies in this forum. My question to all of you is, How do you tell the difference between a possible conspiracy and a made up story by some nutjob? Where do you get your info? Who can you trust and who do you not trust? I ask because my brother and I are both in to legitimate conspiracy theories, not the whole mark of the beast type stuff that makes no sense. I am curious where you get your info from on these theories? I have read maybe 3 or 4 that even make sense so far on here lol. The rest seem to be a bunch of ramblings about things that common sense tells you are false. Look forward to hearing your responses.

Sites such as infowarriors (Alex Jones) has some good stuff (good verifiable information) and likewise some crackpot stuff. Unfortunately Alex is such a polarizing personality that most throw the baby out with the bath water. You really just have to glean through the mess yourself. Infowarriors was one of the first (as I recall) to start talking about NSA cyber-snooping long before the name Edward Snowden was commonly known.

For me, it's about the simplicity of the assertion, and ease of accessing evidence to verify the assertion.
The more complex the assertion, and the harder it is to find easy to access evidence to support the assertion, the more likely I am to consider it nut job material.

Most of these theories seem to take a snippet of truth from multiple sources , that are then woven together into a complex meandering idea maze.

If I can get from point A to point B of a theory without having to weed through tons of conjecture and speculation, and rhetorical filler, I'm more prone to hear someone's argument, and consider it plausible.

If someone can state their assertion, show me the evidence, and give me a short synopsis of their reasoning that connects their assertions to the evidence, then I'll hear them out.

I stand corrected. Even though I was referring to the website, it is infowars.com. I like the fact that they cover a lot of stories that the national media either completely miss or just barely mention in passing.

Sometimes the official line is more unbelievable than the conspiracy theory.

The only conspiracies I know of are that Satan has convinced people that he and his kind don't exist or that there's no God or that he's more powerful than God. Also, evolutionary beliefs and Science being propped up as a god, that's a worldwide sham.

Look for spiritual signatures on it. The number 9 in the bible represents fruit bearing. The number 11 represents confusion. 9 11 was the birth of confusion. (Occultist read the bible)

Look for satanic or witchcraft symbolism. The great rite ritual was performed at the Pentagon. That ritual is obscene so I can't describe it here. But it was played out on a large scale on 9 11. Google it, you will see that the Pentagon represented the woman and the missile/airplane represented the male.

Look at the ages of the perpetrators. Most times you will see the number 33 associated with conspiracies... Mohamed Atta was 33 years old. David Korresh was 33 years old when he was executed. 46 is also a prominent number in conspiracies... Kennedy was 46 when he was assassinated.

The best identifier for a conspiracy is to note the outcome of the event. What results did the act bring about. 9 11 - surveillance state loss of liberties.

If you approached the people and stated I want to move you towards a police state, people would revolt. So you need to approach it a different way. Problem, Reaction, Solution

Problem : You create a problem
Reaction: You manipulate a reaction through media
Solution : You implement what you originally wanted to implement as a solution

I think this is the list of how to tell its a nut job. Once people delve into nonsense like numerology I'm done with taking it seriously. Same with masons/illuminati.

You want to tell me 9-11 was done by the government to give us an excuse to invade the middle east and gain ourselves cheap access to fossil fuels and revenge for Bush's daddy? Cool, its screwed up but makes sense.
You want to post nonsense like how 9 means bull and 11 means crap...well you have your answer.

As is the popular maxim: "There is a fine line between genius and insanity."

I think this saying proves itself well in regards to the conspiracy and theory realm. The key to it all is discernment.

Let's take the ever-popular RFID chip conspiracy theory for instance. Now on one hand some peopele will claim this is just a conspiracy theory and doesn't exist and they therefore dismiss all evidence despite the fact there is ample proof the RFID chip implant does indeed exist. Some folks that do realize the RFID chip is real then fall into the trap of thinking its an awesome idea to chip yourself. The other dangerous side of the coin is some people take the Theory part of this conspiracy way too far and think its the mark of the beast of something of that sort. We can see clearly from scripture and practicality this is not the case.

What then is a rational discernment of this Conspiracy Theory? It is simply the RFID chip does exist, it is not the mark of the beast, but that you probably shouldn't get an RFID chip due to the fact it has caused cancer in people or has migrated throughout people's bodies causing medical complications.

So you can see how we can apply discernment to numerous conspiracies and theories so that we might cut through the bullcrap and get to the truth.

We can use this method of discernment to determine who caused 9/11 (Osama bin Laden), what did Darwin get right and wrong in his theories,, why does Hollywood have a fondness for creepy symbols, etc.

The bible uses numbers... I can't help that. The number 7 means completeness is that bull crap? It's only bull crap when you don't understand how numbers are used in the bible.

I was actually waiting on someone to post youtube.com links lol. If there is one thing that annoys me more than anything else when it comes to conspiracy theories its youtube. I always tell people to do their research dont just watch a youtube video and call it fact. Oncefallen brought up a good name...Alex Jones. A lot of people call him crazy. In fact, I was one of those people for a long time. The things that he says are completely unbelievable sometimes, the sad part is most of it is true. I think we refuse to accept that our government is capable of doing horrible things to its people. Once we accept that it is easier to understand someone and their theories begin to make sense.

Cool the Bible uses numbers. Thats not the point, youre trying to force numerology into terrorist or other tragedies as some weird sort of proof that they are ocuultic/satnic/some other nonsense.

Most of these theories are speculation of some sort, but who know; it can be someone that is hired to detour everyone that is getting closer to the real truth. Like that Wikileaks fella Julian Assange had work with someone that hacked into government files an exposing information on the cover up of the U.S. military. But it was never mentioned what was exposed, but if you live in Ecuador, you will know the secret. People are just wicked everywhere, but they will cover up their tracks so that they can be still trusted among the naive ones. If everything was to be exposed, it will be anarchy; and then how can someone can make money to have control? The devil doesn't want to be recognize, because he likes this system of ours.

1 Samuel 8:9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”

Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.

Ecuador's President Says CIA is Using Drug Profits to Destabilize His Country

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa said stories about US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) efforts to destabilize his government and hinder his reelection are credible.

During a television-broadcast interview with journalist Jorge Gestoso, Correa referred to stories presented by UK ex-Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray and the Chilean journalist Patricio Mery Bell and said they are credible because there are historical precedents. . .

Correa also referred to the story by Chilean journalist Patricio Mary Bell about apparent CIA and DEA operations to import 300 kilograms of drugs monthly to Chile to finance the destabilization of the Ecuadorian government..

He stated that it was a similar case to the Iran-Contras scandal, by means of which resources from illegal weapon sale to Iran were embezzled to finance the counter-revolution in Nicaragua. . .

Correa believes it is feasible that the CIA is a superstructure that acts independently from its government and without public scrutiny. . . Ecuador's President Says CIA is Using Drug Profits to Destabilize His Country

Some sources say that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has been involved in several drug trafficking operations. Some of these reports claim that congressional evidence indicates that the CIA worked with groups which it knew were involved in drug trafficking, so that these groups would provide them with useful intelligence and material support, in exchange for allowing their criminal activities to continue,[1] and impeding or preventing their arrest, indictment, and imprisonment by U.S. law enforcement agencies.[2]
