Lying prophets:

The Books of Kings records a story where, under duress from Ahab, the prophet Micaiah depicts God as requesting information from his heavenly counsel as to what he should do with a court of false prophets. This depiction is recorded in 1 Kings 22:19–23:

"Micaiah continued, 'Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the host of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left. And the Lord said, "Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?"
"'One suggested this, and another that. Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the Lord and said, "I will entice him."
"'"By what means?" the Lord asked.

"'"I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets," he said.
"'"You will succeed in enticing him," said the Lord. "Go and do it."
"'So now the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you'" (1 Kings 22:19–23 NIV).
This prophecy came true. And yes, God was in it.

He put a lying spirit in the mouths of the prophets of Baal.

Stephen63, I believe in the word of God in the Bible that corresponds to the teachings and God of Jesus Christ love and life and forgiveness not to murder kill men women and children and then lie to people and tell them God commanded it. What you want Stephen63 concerning what people like or dislike in my beliefs is none of your business
If I am my brother's keeper, yes it is my business. I should do whatever I can to keep a brother from straying from the faith. If you don't believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God, then you have a problem.

Ive been saved by Jesus Christ. I do not want anyone to believe that the God who told us do not kill can then tell his so called self ordained prophets to inspire death and destruction. You cannot accept Gods commanmdments and believe this small handful of lieing prophets that satan helped to get published

look, observe, hear, listen, ultimately we're trying to help you in where your beliefs are lacking faith.
If there is wicked, God is against it, right?
Likewise in order to subdue a land it has to be conquered, Correct?
It makes me wonder what you people see, in God Justly taking care of unrepentant workers of iniquity,
I figure just how He has since the beginning, so He will do until the very end.
So when you're reading God commanded so and so to conquer the land leaving none left, these people
who are being slayed are not of God they're not listening to His word, they're turned against Him in a
world of their own.
Your reasoning is within one of the ten commandments, specifically, Thou shall not kill. lol.
I don't see that this has anything to do with God commanding an evil race being slayed.
As for when it says God has new commandments, Love your God and Love the People as your self.
True that in Love there is no hatred and there is no murder or lying or speaking against.
There in the bible Jesus also says "Vengeance is mine, I will repay saith the Lord." and Just because
there are angels following are they commanded by another god, or Satan?
In His 2nd coming, NO DOUBT, the wicked will be slayed/slaughtered, and cut off.

Just because you do not understand something that god does, does not give you the right to say such things. You are calling the holy spirit a liar- and yes i say this because the bible was written by the influence of the holy spirit. look it up

I defend the word of God proving and showing that God does not change. Warfare is man made evil against each other God has no part in man made evil, these are curses and wraths of God upon all involved. The commandments of God are Greater than the lies and distortions of a couple of false prophets. The truth is that Israel decided to slaughter these people their way and to look righteous they wrote that God told them. Remember in the old testament Jesus was the communicator, He does not change either. Israel was alternating between the true God and the worship of satan like a tossed wave. How many times was Israel destroyed or taken captive ? why did this happen in the old testament

[SUP]19 [/SUP]Surely, Thou wilt slay the wicked, O God. Depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For they speak against Thee wickedly, and Thine enemies take Thy name in vain.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Do I not hate them, O Lord, that hate Thee? And am I not grieved with those that rise up against Thee?
[SUP]22 [/SUP]I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them mine enemies.

[h=3]Proverbs 6:16-19[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[SUP]18 [/SUP]An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[SUP]19 [/SUP]A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

It is true Satan knows God's word far greater than we ever can however, He can not understand it. It takes humility to understand our humble God and His word. Thou shalt not kill is speaking specifically of murder. Do not for a moment believe God will not put to death HIs enemies or the enemies of HIs children. What seems obvious to me here is a lack of trust in our God. I live in perfect peace. It is the peace which surpasses all understanding. As it is written, "thou will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on thee because he trust in thee."

No you defend your view of the word not the word itself, your right god never changes. However every word in the bible is not only true but was pretty much written by god himself.

A lot of the time the people worshiped Baal and followed its prophets.

Jer 11:13 Judah, you have as many gods as you have towns, and you have set up as many altars to the shameful idols as there are streets in Jerusalem. You burn incense to Baal on these altars.

He understands it as well as you do, and hopefully you can understand what that means.

You shall not kill ? is specifically talking about murder you say. All murder and end of life by man to another is killing. When you decide to kill you make yourself God and you become an abomination. These 2 prophets will not gain your entry to Heaven but they seduce you and many to believe God kills and slaughters. You have not received the Holy Spirit to understand the truth about certain false and slanderous writings against God

and what did the Lord say pertaining to them?

[h=3]Jeremiah 11:17[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP]For the Lord of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.

and in here for sure,

[h=3]Jeremiah 11:20-23[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]20 [/SUP]But, O Lord of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Therefore thus saith the Lord of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the Lord, that thou die not by our hand:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.
