Thanks Elizabeth619, I think if the dude would have just read my opening post he would have known what I believe. I guess he just wasn't to debate something, anything. His loss.
I have been treated the same way by a few others on here about where I attend, and what I believe. Of course they don't know exactly what I believe. If you want to find negative information about any church all you have to do is do an internet search. They are all "satanic". Yet most of the people that post these things don't know what the doctrines are in the first place. Kinda like a few on here that have made some rather hateful remarks about where I attend. Which is the Church of Christ.

I go to Grace Alliance Church which is affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, which is an interdenominational denomination (if it can really be called that) that was basically started by A.W. Tozer (quite an interesting man) and who really was not wanting to make another denomination. God bless those who are my brothers and sisters in Christ and let us help those who are lost and are only brothers and sisters in a ''biological'' way but not in the Christian way.

I go to a Presbyterian church. I teach Sunday school to the pre school kids. I also work with kids of all ages at vacation bible school. I love the youth and I really love when they learn about Christ.

Trinity. If you don't believe the trinity, you probably are still rollin' with the enemy.

I do not attend Church herer on the earth as a member. I do go when I am called to go, and am able to but I am a member of God's tabernacle
Hebrews 8:1Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Hebrews 8:2A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

I was quoting from the movie STAR WARS. I said it because it didn't take long for a debate to start up after asking such a simple question. your reading way too much into this homie.

Where do you go to church and If you indeed go to church do you hold a ministry or a passion in that church?
I go to an apostolic church. I praise sing during service, and I giver a lot of hugs. hugs are important, people need to feel loved.
What's yours?
I attend a Wesleyan Church(spanish speaking congregation) as of a year ago..before that I had been of a more 'charismatic' background albeit I did not/do not pray in tongues, I even went to a baptist church for a short while and several 'non denominational churches'/whatever that means...I found much of what I was taught in the prior churches I went to, to be things I disagree with..hence my desire to find something I was more in agreement with lead me to where I am at now.

Funny thing..I had some bad experiences with many here in the south(southern Church of Christ) seems to be rather different, more 'traditional' or legalistic regarding some things(no instruments,Baptismal regeneration adherents)..while i do believe baptism is very important(I question why the Quakers flat out disobey to not do communion, baptize, etc.) I believe walking in obedience is important, thus a true repentant believer should want to be baptized I believe..The eunuch said, what keeps me from not being baptized to Stephen..it makes sense to do it,but water cannot save you. However, If you feel good there..then attend..my only other gripe/disagreement with COC/church of christ is their claim to not really have a 'creed' or statement of faith,or systematic theology..but if you look further into it. They truly do have a systematic theology of some sort, I know this because I am dating a young lady who is COC/church of Christ.

I was raised Lutheran, (Missouri Synod) but in my teens I became a member of an independent charismatic church. In my twenties I joined a popular Foursquare church with 3 thousand members. Got married and joined another charismatic Lutheran Church. Then I kooled down and dropped out of church for 15 years or so. I slowly lost my faith and did things I regret. I came back and found a new faith with a little help from a Catholic priest and then joined another popular Foursquare church. Now, I do not attend any sort of formal church, but maintain a small core group of Christian friends.
May I encourage you to seek to find a way to do church, even if it is not within the confines/mold of an institutional format?
house church? small group? Being intentional to do church I believe is what is mostly important, I myself almost gave up on 'church' for a time there..and I found the place I am at now..not before having checked out several house church options, none of which were really what I was looking for/or too far away/not very organized/doctrinal differences than mine..

Greetings willfollowsGod.

Although I do not attend a Christian and Missionary Alliance church myself, I do very much respect it as a denomination (especially their strong emphasis on producing and supporting missionaries). There is an Alliance church (called Rexdale Alliance) just 10 minutes away from me here in Toronto, Canada which is pastored by Sunder Krishnan (the brother-in-law of Christian philosopher Ravi Zacharias). He is a very good preacher and teacher and I've visited his church a number of times. I even met my first girlfriend at that church (that's another reason I like the denomination, because they have Christian women that can tolerate me - lol).

Speaking of Ravi Zacharias, a few years ago I had the opportunity to hear him preach at the Alliance church he began attending when he moved here to Toronto from India back in 1966 (the church he attended here is called First Alliance Church, and a few years ago he was invited back to give a message).

If I could make just one slight correction regarding A.W. Tozer and the Alliance denomination - he was not himself the founder (although he was definitely a life-long member of the denomination). It was actually founded by A.B. Simpson as a missionary organization which evolved into a denomination shortly after Simpson's death. Tozer joined the denomination a few years later.

On a related note, the Alliance church A.W. Tozer last pastored at before he died was Avenue Road Church, which is also here in Toronto. When I first found that out, I wanted to go visit the church, but then discovered that the church had moved to a new building much further away, and the original building is now a Hare Krisha Temple (I guess I won't be visiting that building anytime soon - lol).
