The Way the world works now its pretty hard not to have sex when your not married... back in the day people used to get married at an early age now people wait alot longer... for college trust and work reasons... marriage is not something you get into you really have to make a commitment to that person as a teenage you experience hormones and start thinking about sex.... very few can resist i mean come on now its like the biggest thing when your in high school.. even for good heart people and when you expose it pressure you to do so because you having thoughts and hormones .. the the population of fornication is increasing because when it was old times by time they hit a certain age they would be married now its alot different the age difference plays a big part in the situation.... and the pressure that goes around your friends and even family technology also plays a big part of fornication ... fornication is a sin but if you ask for forgiveness and you dont really cant resist sexual behavior he will understand you just being human....

God knows your heart if he know your heart is good dont stress out about this situation !

So basically disregard the entire word of God based on your feelings? Is this like using God's grace as a license to sin? I'm confused.

Seems like this is taking advantage of forgiveness. the Bible teaches REPENTANCE. There is a difference between being TEMPTED and just giving into hormones simply 'cause you can't control yourself...

Cue Romans 6! Based on the question of grace abounding when we sin should we just continue to sin so grace always saves the day? Take it away Paul!

1What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.5For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,6knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;7for he who has died is freed from sin.

8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,9knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.11Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,13and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.14For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!16Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?17But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed,18and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.19I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.

20For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.21Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.22But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We have liberty and freedom in Christ. Yes.

Liberty is different than license.

To say that waiting until marriage is "too hard" is an insult to the many who do wait until marriage.

Calm, calm. The kid is 20, he's been here ONE WHOLE DAY. It is one thing to be wary of trolls, it is another thing altogether to not give someone the benefit of the doubt when we barely know him.

I agree... we shouldn't yell at people until it's at least their 2nd day.

Okay this is coming from someone that hasn't been to church since I was a little girl, and I might sound stupid, but whatever lol. I don't think God really cares about us having sex with whoever, I think he made that rule or bible verse or whatever it is because he knew how much more special it would be if you waited until marriage. and he knew how much happier the couple would be. He knew it would make the relationship more pure. He knew if we waited it would be for our best.

You have to understand the implications of having sex. When the "two make one", wink wink, those two are now one eternally in Gods eyes. It is that being of one flesh thing that establishes a spousal relationship. So the next time you're thinking about getting spousal with someone, just think about how many spouses did God really intend you having, and what abandoning that eternal oneness you create is gonna cost you in the end.

His post sounds legit to me. What he said about it being very difficult in high school with all the peer pressure to have sex is true and he's just saying that if you do fall into temptation, its not the end of the world. (unless the girl gets pregnant, then that's a whole other story)

I guess looking from a different perspective people hold it in with more esteem than other sins but is it any different than lying cheating or stealing? Its not not in God's eyes at least...as I had said in a previous thread, all sins are created equal NOT ALL CONSEQUENCES OF SINS are created equal...consequences of having sex are very much so different than those of lying are they not? Good thing our God is one of mercy, forgiveness and a perfecting love!

It's not just ONE verse. It's not just a rule that's just kind of tossed in the book. It's in the Word and discussed in the Word AT LENGTH, specifically so that we DO understand it, and so that we DO understand that it isn't just there for making things 'much more special.'

If you decide that the commands that God has given us are not be followed because...well, whatever, I don't think He really cares... Then my response is this: if He doesn't care, why did He make the mandate? And if God gave us a commandment, but doesn't expect us to follow it...doesn't that make God a liar?

Do you want to stand before Him when it's your time and explain that one to Him?

sex without marriage leads to being knock up,which leads to being a deadbeat dad (esp you teens who plan on going to college and not get a job to support the baby). Just one problem after another.

That is why GOD gave us such rules, so that we wouldn't have such problem. HE did this to protect us.
