So if you are not born again then you are dead
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
And as I hear you saying is we can't be born again here today without physical death. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is not so good after all?????????? Hmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I say God Forbid. For God is miraculously good and the only one. And Christ through his death did this for us.
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Tis way we can approach the throne of grace with confidence and be born again from God a gift to us and thus live out our physical life here and now in God's Spirit Sorry you are not seeing this amazing truth from God in living a life of Love God's type in 1 Cor. 13:4-13

No! What you are hearing is what you want to hear what you are reading is facts

You cannot be born again until the resurrection

as long as you are in the flesh you cannot be born again!
Lets read again what Jesus said

John 3:7-8 KJV
[7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Are you like the wind in a flesh body or in a spirit body?

all we have to do is read and believe what is written!

Lets increase the understanding and include the living on when they are born again since the guy think I meant only the dead

born again is the resurrection people, at the resurrection we go from born of flesh to born of spirit whether we are dead or living when The Lord comes!

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 KJV
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Whatever you been told about these verses this is the 1st resurrection

notice these dead and alive people are changed from flesh to spirit!

This is none other that our bodies being redeemed. For now the body flesh is not redeemed. So we are to be alive in God's Spirit where God can only be worshipped today in Spirit and truth.
Dead to sinful flesh and alive to God in the Spirit of God, where no sin can ever occur. And as long as one does not reckon themselves dead to sin, they will continue in sin, pretty simple, but not easy to see.
It is all God and none of me, you or anyone else
Jesus came to give Life and he did through his death first and then the resurrection. we too are made alive in God in God's Spirit where no sin occurs. right here and right now, God getting all the credit, raising us in the Spirit of God, where God lives through us in Love, God's type as in 1 Cor. 13:4-13. Right here and right now made new in our thoughts, that are God's thoughts
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

This is Spirit not flesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brother this is milk we discuss here you are making it into meat by using the incorrect verses

here Paul prove you wrong again

1 Corinthians 15:35-38,40,42,44 KJV
[35] But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? [36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: [37] And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain : [38] But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. [40] There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: [44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

It is sown a natural body(born from mother) it is raised a spiritual body(born from God)

Paul is talking about bodies in this resurrection chapter,

Lets get more proof on what Paul said above. When Jesus rose from the dead and the people saw him did he look different from his flesh and blood body than his spiritual body after resurrection? Let the bible prove that Jesus body looked the same he just was in another bodily form

John 20:25-28 KJV
[25] The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. [26] And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. [27] Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. [28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

What did Thomas call Jesus? God!
its obvious Jesus looked the same as he did in the flesh
so our spiritual body will look the same as our flesh body did
we will be on another form or substance!

homeward bound,i just want to completely understand what you are explaining.are you saying that paul didnt really NEED to re-baptize anyone as stated in the following scripture excerpt:paul himself REBAPTIZED the disciples of John the Baptist (Acts 19:1-5) in this same manner, saying, “Have ye received the Holy Ghost SINCE you believed? They said, ‘We know not whether there be any Holy Ghost.’ Paul said, “How was you baptized?” They said,’ We’ve been baptized unto John.’ Then said Paul, “John verily baptized with baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him that should come after him, that is on CHRIST JESUS.” WHEN THEY HEARD THIS, they were baptized in the NAME of the LORD JESUS” .also in the following scripture we see that this group at cornellius house had already received the holy ghost and were speaking with tongues YET they were still commanded by peter to be baptized.can someone please explain to me why they did this if it is not that important to our salvation?

As per Yeshua, a man must be born of the water and of the spirit. Also, He informed Nicodemus he must be born again.

Because of this the term, born again is employed by those who have received the Holy Spirit, much like many will use the term, Trinity, in describing our Maker. These are nothing more than concepts being expressed through verbalization.

Call it whatever

how Is man born of the spirit, the water and be like the wind?

How does man born if the spirit when he is born of the flesh?
John 3:6 KJV
[6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

everyone on this forum is born of a woman
not one person on this forum has been born of the spirit

hoffco God bless you brother.Maybe you have received a revelation that i havent got yet but i would like to ask you a few questions because you seem to have a great grasp on scripture.can one be living in a sanctified state without being justified?can one be living in a justified state without being sanctified?can one be living in a sanctified state without being holy spirit filled?also if one is content in staying in a sanctified state will this affect their salvation? i believe that Just like the natural birth, the New Birth undergoes three stages – water, blood and spirit.

When a woman gives birth to a child, the first thing that comes forth is water, then blood, then life (spirit). Being born again is a similar process with three stages: (1) Justification by Water, (2) Sanctification by the Blood, and (3) Baptism of the Holy Spirit. These three consists the New Birth in a person.

The same process goes even for the earth's redemption. The earth was baptized in water in the days of Noah. It was then sanctified when the blood of Jesus Christ was shed on Calvary's hill. It will be baptized with the Holy Fire of God during the Battle of Armageddon, before God can finally dwell on it during the Millennium.just to add i sense a division happening here.just because a person has a different undestanding or revelation on a particular topic does not mean we should cease operating in LOVE towards one another.remember we are to esteem each other better than ourselves and if we disagree we are still to love one another

To be born again you must first die to sin. I can see how you could call that the resurrection of the spirit but we still await the resurrection of our bodies because before the seed (of our born again spirits) are given NEW bodies our old ones must first die.

so how many resurrections are spoken of in the Bible?

those raised from the dead:

2 kings 4: 18 - 37

John 11: 1-44

Those given new bodies:

Matthew 27: 50-53

Those who have been born again:

Acts 2: 1-4

Acts 10: 34-48
not one those verses names a person who is born again.

A person who is resurrected can they sin?

after Jesus resurrection could a person sin?
Now go back and read your verses and answer correctly

Listen to what Job says here. Job will wait in the grace until his change come. Change into what?

Job 14:13-15 KJV
[13] O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! [14] If a man die, shall he live again ? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. [15] Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

Job was born once into the family of man
when Job change come what will he become?

[SUP]22 [/SUP]Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit[SUP][a][/SUP] in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, [SUP]23 [/SUP]having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,[SUP][b][/SUP]

??? GOI you keep saying "name one person in the Bible who has been born again? "

How about Peter and those he was speaking to in the above letter?

"having been" is PAST tense.

you are moving the goal post.

the question you asked was answered and instead of acknowledging the answer, you change the question. :(

Do you actually want a real conversation or are you just playing games?

You asked for scripture to support Jonathan's statement. its been given. now you pretend to want verses about people who are born again. those were also given in a DIFFERENT posts...........as for your two new questions they won't be answered until you acknowledged the scriptures and answers for the two questions you asked and yet still deny having been answered.

Jonathan said

"The Bible is clear it s our spirit that was dead in tresspasses and sin that needs to be born again."

You asked "where in the Bible is that stated?"or something like that.

I answered with these verses

Ephesians 2

New King James Version (NKJV)

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, [SUP]2 [/SUP]in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, [SUP]3 [/SUP]among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Who did Jesus make alive? When are we made alive, since we are already alive? Come on read what it says and stop with what you want it to say

you have not given me what i asked you given me what you think it means!

Let me prove it to you again

Psalm 17:15 KJV
[15] As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Tell me when did David arise from the dead and look like God's likeness!

go back and read Ephesians with some understanding. Lets read the better version
Ephesians 2:1-6 KJV
[1] And you hath he quickened , who were dead in trespasses and sins; [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. [4] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, [5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) [6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Are you in the heaven with Jesus? Are you?

Before coming to Yeshua we are considered dead in our sin. After coming to Him we should consider ourselves dead to sin. We leave that which is corruptible and put on the uncorruptible, we are reborn to the eternal in Yeshua. Blessed be your walk and fellowship always in Yeshua, amen.

Here is a wonderful thought and teaching from the Word. Yeshua, in the flesh, after He suffered and died on the cross for all who believe Him, was buried in the tomb of the wealthy man. His flesh did not see corruption however before He ascended to the Right Hand of power His Body was transfigured, just as will happen to all of us who believe Him. Now this is something to look forward to in patient anticipation and great hope, amen.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! until that day I think I will die to self daily with Christ at the cross and thus be alive to God daily by the resurrection of Christ. Alive today in Spirit

Not many people take into consideration ; that the Bible was not translated from the English , but from Greek, where this verse is used. And some times, it was not translated well. Some times it was just transliterated, meaning they found the corresponding letters in the English , and found the closest kin word.. That may not have taken into account a understanding of what the passage was really about .

John 3:1-21

King James Version (KJV)

3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

English - AGAIN :

Greek meaning =
G509

ἄνωθεν

anōthen

an'-o-then

From G507 ; from above ; by analogy from the first ; by implication anew: - from {above} {again} from the beginning (very {first}) the top.

G507

ἄνω

anō

an'-o

Adverb from G473 ; upward or on the top: - {above} {brim} {high} up.

This clearly shows, what this word actually is in The Greek. It is not the English word again. It is the Greek word for Above.

Christ is saying, in order to even participate , in salvation, you have to be born from above. Meaning just what the scriptures say. We come from God, who gave our Soul to begin with. That is where we are from.

Just as Christ was with God in the beginning, so were we when God created us.. God's said to Jeremiah ,and others :" Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

This among other scriptures, documents, where people are born from. From above.

If you become familiar with those scriptures, then you'll understand that verse better.

again is actually = above. And that water, is the water that is in the womb of the mother a child is born into.
And as when this was written the water in the womb that breaks was not known then as amniotic fluid as this is what it is called today. Never the less, when born a baby is about 93 % water.
Like your post about when we are born Again, that it is actually born from above by God through Christ's resurrection. Whether known from the beginning or not, Christ's cross the power is all there into and unto new life, seeing things from above, and acting out from above. Love it, insight to me at least. Thanks

The verse says. Colossians 1:21-22 KJV[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled [22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

To present you HOLY and UNBLAMEABLE and

we are not that in this flesh.
when does it happen?
at the resurrections
GOI, I see what you are saying about getting our unredeemed bodies redeemed and glory Hallelujah when that day comes.
But here now today in the meantime are we to continue in sinful behavior? Are we to stop it ourselves, in our unredeemed bodies that can't perform, Spirit willing but flesh is weak? As said by Christ to the disciples and as Paul has written to us in epistles to put no confidence in flesh?

So, what is it that we are to do to stay in sink with God? What did Christ come here to earth to do? Was it to give us new life in him, by his Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God?
What does flesh do?
[h=3]John 10:10[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]10 [/SUP]The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

So by Christ's death for us all we are made Holy to Father, so Father could come and live in us if we choose belief and Father teaches us a whole new way of life in Love, because we now see Father first loved us.
Hope you see what is being said only Father can open this up to you, and show you it all Father through Son, we the people get no credit whatsoever, unless God decides to give that to you, me or anyone else. Yet that would only be between God and you.
Go justly, Love Mercy, and walk humbly, Micah
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Which many here are doing and seeking to do this, in what they see to be truth and are seeking to be free in Father.
So think on this wise, if you or anyone else here is in bondage, then maybe my, yours and others truth is not truth if we are not free, then there has to be error in that truth and might need to re-think that truth since by it we are not free.

John 8:32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

So error in one's truth will keep one from being free. Just a little wine (blood) to drink and body to eat

The having is not there
"being born again"

Being is PRESENT tense NOT future tense.

if they were not born again yet, it would say "will be born again."

if you don't want to accept what scripture says its your choice.

Peter and those he was speaking to WERE born again. Past tense for us, present tense for them. its the same thing. neither is future tense use of the verb.

PS. i'm ignoring all other posts but yours on this thread. it gets too distracting otherwise.
