Daniel 9:21-27

[SUP]21 [/SUP]Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This is the most important prophesy in our lives. If this can be solved, then we would know the season we are in.

The season we are in is the season of the new covenant that Daniel 9:26-27 describes.

I agree. It is a very important prophecy. I believe it is the reason that Jesus uttered these words:

You hypocrites, you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that you do not discern this time? Luke 12:56

In saying this, I think Jesus was stating the obvious that the 70th week of Daniel had arrived, and the promised anointed one (messiah) had appeared to implement the new covenant during that final week of 7 years.

Heaven and earth passing away is not the day I seek to know. I seek to know the day of the coming of the Son of man.

Shall we begin?

I will state for the record though that the most important prophesy FOR ME is found in

Isaiah 7:13) And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
14 .) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15 .) Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.

Now, that's just me I suppose, but I believe this to be, well, kinda important when it comes to prophesies?

6 days were given to men to work, the 7th being the day of rest. We illustrate this by our weekly calendar. Knowing that in prophesy, a day with the Lord is as 1000 years. This is how we determine the 'latter years' and our position in them.

So 6000 years were determined for man to do his work. In Genesis, God said that His Spirit would not always strive With man, and that his years would be 120.

This is again another witness to the 6000 years. In Leviticus we find the feasts of the LORD and it is here we learn how to count jubilees! 7 sets of 7 years, the 50th year being a jubilee year in which men were to be released of all debt and returned unto his possessions.

6000 years divided by 50 gives us 120 jubilee years in which is given to men. So now the question is how many jubilee years old are we?

but that'll end up meaning Jesus accomplished salvation for whomseover will and It Is Finished and we have a responsibility to actually live faithful and meaningful christian lives.

we might wonder who it is that is gathered together right now attacking; murdering; dispersing and scattering Christians (the children of Abraham) in the Middle East. by PROXY...and directly. descendants of the very ones who escaped 70AD!

dropping DU on them. saying they don`t exist.

we might have to do something about it. by at least not calling for it. or paying for it.

your website here is foolish

""Michael John Rood is an ordained nondenominational Christian minister and Messianic rabbi," according to a brochure Rood produced to promote his seminars which have been held around the United States"

rood teaches JUST AS the Scriptures do that we shall call no man Rabbi

Mattithyah 23:8, "But you are not to be called Rabbi; for One is the Great One over you, and that is Messiah, and all of you are brothers."

it also says: "criticize celebration of Christmas"

yeah the Scriptures do that:

Yeremyah 10:1-6, "Hear the word which Yahweh speaks concerning you, O house of Israyl. This is what Yahweh says: Do not learn the way of the heathen; Gentile nations; and do not be deceived by the signs of heaven; though the heathen are deceived by them For the religious customs of the peoples are vain; worthless! For one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, so that it will not move; topple over. They are upright, like a palm tree, but they cannot speak; they must be carried, because they cannot go by themselves. Do not give them reverence! They cannot do evil, nor is it in them to do righteousness! There is none like You, O Yahweh! You are great, and Your Name is mighty in power."

and this "not "the Holy Spirit" as evangelical Christianity teaches,"

let's stick to Rabbi Rood for now please:):

"I invite you to leave your modern, western Gentile mentality behind as we explore the Scriptures from a Hebrew perspective. This is the paradigm shift for which you have been waiting an entire lifetime. As the prophets said, the Gentiles will come to the believers among the Jews in the last days, take hold of the blue fringe on the corners of their garments and say, “teach us the ways of the LORD, we now understand that the living oracles of GOD were committed to the Jews, and we have inherited nothing but lies and pagan gods from our forefathers—teach us about the Messiah (Zechariah 8:23, Jeremiah 16:19)"

- Michael Rood; The Pagan Christian Connection Exposed: page xvi introduction

.....

The Bible:

Zechariah 8:23
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Jeremiah 16:19

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

the gentiles will turn to God.

Isaiah 42
6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

who is God speaking of here?
CHRIST.

since this is fulfilled:

Zechariah 8:23
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

who do you think it's talking about?
Rabbi Rood?
purleeze.

"We need your help now in order to accomplish our role in this task that YHVH has mandated -- that in these last days "out [of] Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of YHVH from Jerusalem."

- NEW YEAR UPDATE; From: "Michael John Rood" <[email protected]> Date:Fri, 04 Apr 2003

THE BIBLE:

Isaiah 2:3
And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Luke 24
44Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

I don't think the seventy sevens necessarily have to follow one after the other. I think they're broken up and that the last seven is separate for a reason. Just look at the Ezekiel 26 prophecy, concerning Nebuchadnezzar, the nations and Tyre. At first glance it sounds like it's talking only about the armies of Nebuchadnezzar (which is why I emphasized the nations instead). And if that were the case then the prophecy would never have been fulfilled, because Nebuchadnezzar only destroyed the mainland part of the city of Tyre - and not the entire city. But in later history Alexander the Great took the rubble of the mainland part of the city and threw it into the sea to make a bridge to the island part of the city. After Alexander came then the parts of the prophecy found in Ezekiel 26:12, 14, 19 came to pass.

Now a good section of it is submerged beneath the sea, never to be rebuilt. And there were a couple hundred years between Nebuchadnezzar and Alexander. So I don't think that the seventy sevens prophecy has to be fulfilled in one go. Which is probably one of the reasons why no man knows the day or hour.

the seventy sevens are not concerned with the Second Coming - but with the First.
