any time and God bless you too. It's like I've suddenly woke up in my father's house on fire with all sleeping inside it oblivious to their peril. I need to wake them fast so I'm screaming to those with ears and slapping the deaf awake. lol. just trying to save my loved ones, he did it for me so I have to do it for you too. right?

Just going to say this...

They fail to accept that God is by definition a communist... That His views are of the communist lines... That all men are equal, that all deserve the same opportunities...
Well said, thank you.

Actually he is not a socialist... God is a Monarch or as we say in modern times; a communist...
I don't think Communist is the best word to use.

To the OP I have to agree, one thing I noticed is before I got a job I thought of my self as highly intelligent when it came to micro economics... I would look at politics as any set of laws or logic.... And interpret it and say well this stance is correct and this one is not... I found myself to be highly democratic...

After getting a minimum wage job that I work 40+ hours a week to break $350.00... I noticed my views changed to the more tangible and reasonable... It is hard to explain but I have noticed that a friend and I that used to have identical views, now when we talk politics I am nauseated by it... I can see his lack of real world experience in his views... I never would have thought the line was not about being experienced in the real world, and literate from a paper world... I always thought that those who held another view were just illiterate: the proletariat...

Funny how a little sweat and a little money can change a persons life views in a few months...
Cool story! Can you elaborate a little more on how your views changed? If you don't want to say how your views changed, I don't mind. Just curious. I just always find that interesting. We are the sum of our experiences, plus a little inborn instincts. I subscribe to the nature AND nurture theory.

I know you asked first but.. I think socialism is a society that sees the health and welfare of the individual as paramount to the health of the whole society. Did I get that right according to your websters version? If not, have websters change it for me.
This is incorrect, socialism is not just about health care... That is the modern propaganda of socialism...

Socialism is where the Govt. has fuller control over the economy then the public as a whole... Which is very dangerous in my opinion because its bound to fail, and has never once fully worked, because economies are a funny thing... And normally leads to communism, because the public just migrated from Capitalism they view it as void and go to a new concept...

Socialists believe that you must prime the pump so it can jump start itself...

Capitalists believe, if you don't take the water out the pump will continue to work on its own....

Just going to say this...

People who say that Jesus is a socialist are politically and biblically incorrect... (people who use this term are normally democratic, and they use it as a front to protect their party's motives that differ from the republicans who are considered more biblical).

They fail to accept that God is by definition a communist... That His views are of the communist lines... That all men are equal, that all deserve the same opportunities...
Problem is though, human nature is fallen - corrupt. So communism can't work in this world. There will always be the 'elitists' to lord it over the little man. Sound familiar?

Thank you for the blessing and thank you for caring about my soul.....that really does mean a lot to me. I am saved and love the Lord with my entire being, He comes first in my life at all times. I am not sure why you feel so fired up, maybe a little break would help you calm down? You are so zealous right now that I would not want you to say something you might regret later.

I think you missed the point of socialism, democracy et all. I meant health not just doctor wise. Capitalism, works on the vice of our own vanity and self worth, on conquest of your fellow man. Christ never taught that, in fact just the opposite. so you are either a capitalist or a Christian. which is it?

It is hard to explain....

I would say my biggest political change would be on the lines of govt assistance...

Before I worked I thought that it was an amazing safety net to keep the proletariat from dieing under hostile times...
Now I have started working I can see people sitting at home collecting their checks, selling dope on the side and making 3 times as much as myself who works at mcdonalds for minimum wage... About to go to the oilfield in the spring and work my body to the bone as a swamper,(most likely)...

Where as someone who collects a check from the govt. and sells drugs on the side will always make more money then someone who honestly wants to work for their keep...

It just explains the direction our society is going... Because for people who work minimum wage, it becomes very apparent that if you are looking for a hand out you have a easier life then if you want to earn your keep...

I have no fix for this, because there are black swans such as the physically disabled and mentally disabled and such... Which we can not neglect to get a few lazy bums to get to work...

we pay alms to the Walton family's millennia old trick of the capitalizing on millions of starving poor in some other part of the world as millions starve and suffer we reap the rewards of their suffering? We shall reap what we are sowing.

I agree 100%... Best example is North Korea in modern times.. Or Russia era 1946-1980's...

I am very interested in hearing what you have to say. I just don't want the discussion among brothers and sisters to get too heated. If we are trying to reach someone to save their soul, we don't want to scare them off before they hear what we have to say about the Lord, do we?

Ah, the oilfields. I salute you :)

Thanks for the response, I see what you mean. I do think the work requirement for able-bodied people helped a lot of folks advance in society, and that could possibly be tweaked for greater potential for good. -JIM

why should anything I say to a saved or non believer be scary in this sick world of zombies eating us alive and automatic weapons of mass destruction pointed at each other while galactic monsters go unseen because we are too busy keeping our eyes on our fellow opponents ie each other? please fear no evil for he is with us.

If that is happening, and I'm not saying it isn't, I don't see how modern socialism will prevent it. The main problem in this scenario are the government handouts.

Our Country is way different than it used to be. There was a time when a man could make a good living, support his family of four. Provide all their needs, buy a new home - car, send kids to college, "get ahead" on one salary. That was a good economy. Not what we have today.

I have no clue what you are talking about... I specifically talked about the proletariat... Not any corporation...

I ask you all again, what did he mean when he said "judge not less ye be judged"? it couldn't mean judging sin, could it? it had to mean judging a man's worth in cash. it's the only thing it could mean
