who are the wicked?
Ezekiel 18:10-14

King James Version (KJV)

10 If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,
11 And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
12 Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
13 Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,

Ezekiel 18:21

King James Version (KJV)

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

whats your definition of repent?
[h=3]Psalm 1[/h]King James Version (KJV)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

“Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
24 “Because I called and you refused,
I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;
25 And you neglected all my counsel
And did not want my reproof;
26 I will also laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your dread comes,
27 When your dread comes like a storm
And your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.
28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,
29 Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose the fear of the Lord.
30 “They would not accept my counsel,
They spurned all my reproof.
31 “So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way
And be satiated with their own devices.
32 “For the waywardness of the [i]naive will kill them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them.
33 “But he who listens to me shall [j]live securely
And will be at ease from the dread of evil.” Proverbs 1:23-33

Are we not all sinners...and therefore wicked? I think about this constantly.

I understand that that specific question is answered in the bible that Jesus died for our sins so that we all may have everlasting life. However, I think a good Christian would want to be as sin free as possible.

Almost any action that people can make can be interpreted as selfish, spiteful or sinful in some way, shape or form it is purely a matter of how they are intrepreted. Any time that I commit any sort of sin...albeit subconciously...or a recent incident in which i wasn’t the one who committed the sin but was a party to it and after finding out that someone had lied (partially on my behalf) i did nothing about it in the means of the “greater good”. This event, along with many other events in my life may be considered relatively small but they affect me and my conscience in a way that makes it feel like there is no difference between them.

In the interest of full disclosure I don’t consider myself to be a christian anymore...I consider my self to be an agnostic or one who does not now the answer...however I like to consider myself to be a student of all religions, with Christianity being what I was raised with and therefore the one in which I am most closely affiliated with. If in the end I am given the opportunity to “see and believe” as it states in the bible I will be content with being blessed instead of more blessed.

Agnostics go to hell. Seriously consider this hardly, before you get worse. Athiests have a hardened heart because God turned them over to a hardened heart. Agnostics also have a hardened heart.

THe bible is the standard consider these verses
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Cornthians 4:4

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Revelation 12:9

"HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM." John 12:40

As you can see God hardens hearts so they can not percieve or know that he is there and that is the scary truth. But god can still open your eyes though.

I realize my sin all the time...I am remorseful and that usually doesn’t feel like enough.

I also feel that for every sin I need to do something that makes me feel like I’ve at least attempted to redeem myself...but i also find some situations where that doesn’t feel like enough.

In reference to that...does the bible not say "blessed is he that sees and belives, but more blessed is he that has not seen and yet believe” that is one philosophy that Ive lived a significant amount of my life under...hopefully God will provide me with the opportunity to “see and believe”, if that is the case I would become more content with being blessed rather than more blessed.

I don’t know the right answers to lifes eternal questions and I’ve progressed from what I would consider to be a full fledged Christian to what I would consider luke warm (which god absolutely does not want me to be)..which I hated the most. This was because I was in the middle of transiting to finally admitting that i didn’t know if following the path that the Bible tells me Jesus took was the right one...I wish i knew, it would make life much easier...hopefully that will be answered for me at some point.

But, I can absolutely say that the day I admitted that I wasn’t a Christian was the day that I felt a giant weight being lifted from my shoulders. Life is all about decisions and this felt like the right one for me to make at that point in my life...hopefully it is the right one...but of course we can’t all be right in this world.

What do you mean by actively?

"actively" and "while we live" applies to how we experience time. Outside of time those words are not meaningful except to describe us.

God is not constrained by time.

You are appointed to live, die, and then the judgment.

Yes.
When you realize that something you do is harmful to others, and you start to hate that part of yourself, and you stop doing it, you remember your old ways, it makes you sorry that you were that way, and you cringe at your past.
That wicked man is dead, judged, and you can see the worms eating the corpse forever, just like the bible says.
He is burning in eternal torment isn't he?

or do you not get judged until you die?
So how about that? When and how do you die?

"For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."

The truth will set you free.
:D

Is being "christian" or "agnostic" enough to satisfy you?
