I was reading through my newsfeed this morning and saw something that made me queasy. Not even joking. I'm not trying to be unkind. I'm really not, but.....ugh.

People, seriously.... If you are going to post lewd remarks or photographs of your lady parts/of yourself in a bath towel, PLEASE do not post scriptures/christianese posters/sayings along with them. The rest of us are left to defend that sort of hypocrisy and it is very upsetting. You are dragging Christ through the mud when you do stuff like that and it hurts other believers.

I realize that this sort of behavior is done out of desperation and a lack of self-respect, so I will be praying for the person. But right now.... *sigh*

I hid someone from my news feed for doing that stuff. Just posting pictures of herself all the time, some she's in some, clothing? My daughter likes to post my little pony on my page and scan through. I hide people that post nasty things. I don't want to see it, and I don't want my kids to see it.

My friend Pauline that I posted about died today. I've been expecting that news for a week or so now. She was very ill and I'm glad she's at peace.

i don't drink soda either. well, not really. i do love (carbonated) mineral water, and i drink plenty of that.

a couple times a week i slice up a few citrus fruits (grapefruit/lemon/lime/orange) grab a handful of herbs off one of my plants (peppermint or whatever can be harvested), and sometimes cucumbers and put it in a gallon of water to "steep".

i'm completely addicted to it. sometimes i'll mix up what i add to it, but there's always a couple 2 quart mason jars in my fridge of that water in my fridge.
That sounds refreshing!! :) Carbonated beverages don't sit well with me, unfortunately, but if they did, I'd try this. I love citrus stuff, and cucumbers can be pretty good, too. :D

oh, i didn't explain that well. i put all that stuff in plain, filtered water.

i just like to drink mineral water, plain. i keep a case in my truck. it's much easier than searching for something to drink when you're away from home...

Thank you. Especially if you aren't going to shave your legs! :)
Man, I don't know what's wrong with me today. I seriously thought of posting a picture of like some spa-quality towels and quote some random Bible verse for the heck of it. Then I decided it's probably not a good idea.

I like carbonated water, Wegmans grocery store has it with different flavors and no aspartame. I know I've mentioned before how much diet soda I used to drink and that I went through withdrawals when I gave it up. I like the kind of water you're talking about Monicat when you just add some citrus flavor or cucumber. It's very good. I do drink unsweetened iced tea with a pack of stevia. That stuff is so sweet you don't need much.

that's about how i feel about reckless, agressive and/or freely gesturing drivers in vehicles emblazoned with christian decals/stickers. especially when the christian decals are are alongside those charming "girlie profile" mudflaps.
I see what you say about Christian fender stickers. A similar point could be made about showing a nice faith based tattoo, without also showing consistent, Christian behavior, too.

Blessings.

I always drink regular water n' I put fresh lemon or fresh cucumber in it. I prefer cucumber though. Sometimes I find carbonated water or bubble water gives me more tummy.

Yes carbonation can do that. I like fizzy water, but I know what you mean.

Fenner, I'm sorry for your loss, but glad she is at peace now.

An elderly gentleman in our church has been given just days to live, due to something found in his brain. This man and his wife are seriously the most godly couple I have ever met. Ever. They made a huge impact on my life in the 11 years I've known them. They've always been very independent (he is a doctor and just retired a few years ago). It is very hard to think about losing him, and to think of his lovely, sweet wife without her partner in this world. Pray for them, if you think of it.

This is only my opinion on placement of tattoos, but along with this, it bothers me when women get tattoos on their sides/hips/whatever of Scripture. If a guy (or anyone, really) asks to see a tattoo and you have to lift up your shirt or pull down your pants, it's probably best you either don't show people or don't get it there.

Again, just my opinion. It can be subjective since I have a tattoo on my foot/ankle and maybe in some countries ankles are "immodest" but...yeah. I have a problem with the lifting of the shirt/pulling down of the jean band.

Best quote I've heard in a while...

"I don't just want my wedding to be so special that I cry, I want everyone else to cry too."

I've never cried at a wedding. If I get married, I'll probably cry at mine, however.

That's probably the main reason that I haven't gotten a tattoo yet. It would be scripture or scripturally based. But I cannot have visible tattoos in the line of work I am in, and I don't want to limit my wardrobe to just long sleeves and pants. So I am left with real estate in proximity to places that would seem irreverent to put the name of a Deity. I may get a cross on my shoulder blade, but that's about my only option.

I agree with you that a tattoo is no reason to expose yourself, especially if it's has Christian theme. My friend got a section of Song of Solomon on her back as part of her healing process when she forgave her husband's affair, but that is for a limited audience, not posted on Facebook.

This is going to sound REALLY stupid, but I'm going to tell y'all anyway.

I've always wanted a tattoo. I think they're cool and some of them are wonderful works of art. There was a documentary on the history channel about tattoos, so I watched. It NEVER occurred to me that people bleed while getting inked. And it never occurred to me that you're repeatedly stabbed to put the ink under the surface of the skin. lol, I'm really bright, aren't I?

Therefore, I highly doubt I'll ever get a tattoo. I'm a big baby.
