I agree with monicat about the truck thing and Rachel's tattoo point.

While I'm ranting, it doesn't help when guys "like" said body part/towel photographs and then post scriptures/christianese posters either.

Have respect for yourselves. If you can't, at least have respect for the gospel.

Okay. I think I'm done with the ranting for now. Maybe. :D

I don't have any tattoos and only my ears are pierced. I have done body painting on my face and arms before for special occasions, similar to what ww_21 has on her hands...lacy looking designs, just for fun. People in the workplace were not fond of the blue streaks I put in my hair about a year or so ago, so I doubt they would be thrilled about crazy piercings or tattoos. :)

Donkeyfish...it hurt...and you wanna do it again. *smh*

There are some unsuitable tattoo placements for faith based tattoo designs.

There are other placements which are modest and suitable.

Blue hair :) !

I know what you mean. I wish "Bob" (some people might remember him) would stop telling people that he's a Christian. He feels qualified to teach other Christians, and there are two big reasons why I think he's doing very real damage to new believers, and I wish I could just... put him in a box and mail him somewhere. :p

I have no tattoos. I've gotten accidental cuts/wounds in the past that happened to look awesome, and I thought it would be cool to get them inked, but I've never actually done it.

It wasn't totally blue. It was a couple of blue streaks in support of my favorite football team at the time (until they dumped Peyton). :) I liked it, but I'll never do it again (unless I do the wash out kind), as it was too hard to reverse. :)

Maybe you prefer 'natural' color streaks to blue ones...

If I ever got a wound inked, I would not use red. It would look too macabre, and people would constantly be asking me what happened. Black would be my first choice.

Black is actually a popular choice of tattoo ink for tribal designs.

(Sometimes a Scripture ref. can even be interwoven.)

Blessings.

haha I actually want a couple piercings but I think I will be safe considering I've never had a cat fight and probably never will :p
no kidding. i can't even imagine how that works. but yeah, we always had a couple girls that liked to get into it.

all this talk of rings being ripped out is making me mildly queasy.

a number of years ago, i got a tiny stud in the side of my nose along with several more ear/cartilage piercings. a couple years after that, i got my belly pierced along with several girlfriends in celebration of us all going to the caribbean for vacation. i haven't worn the belly ring in years, but the nose ring i still occasionally wear.

i always thought i'd get a tattoo. ultimately, i just couldn't pull the trigger. i can't handle the permanency of it--and i would be afraid that it would be something that would keep me from feeling free to re-invent myself, which is something i cherish.

not to mention the fact that freckles aren't the best canvas for ink, in my humble opinion : )

p.s. i went on a date with a guy who had a tongue piercing. he had a mild lisp because of it. i always smile when i remember how he talked with that thing.... too funny

WAW!!! how did you bare this?!!! That's so painful Donkeyfish.

I've never had a tattoo, but I had my tounge pierced once. Everyone told me it didn't hurt that bad....what a load of bull. lol, I couldn't talk right for a week and I was living on milkshakes. It hurt extremely. I lost the top piece to my ring and got a new one the week after but it had already healed up. I may get it redone at some point but I'm in no hurry.

I think you're already a very experienced pierce, then. (In Ezekiel 16.12, the Lord gave Zion a nose ring.)

It's usual now for tattoo first timers to have gotten one or two piercings first, anyway. (Not always this way, but often.)

Blessings.

And sometimes tattoos are not professional if you are a business woman. We had a colleague at my previous job with her arms all covered up and she always has to wear long sleeves even in the summer as long as she's in the office.

Being able to cover tattoos in certain situations, such as when with clients is necessary, but I think you would be surprised at how many professional women - and men - have (coverable) tattoos.

I kinda wanna do this to my hair... I feel safe to admit it here since you all are an open minded bunch according to our current discussion - piercings and tattoos.

haha I like these unusual hair colors.. I'm bored of having black hair... knowing myself though I would change the colour often.. but I am worried about damaging my hair which is why i never colored it before. I think pink hair would look awesome on you :D

yeah, because you have such dark hair, it's going to get really beat up. if you don't want to sacrifice your hair, you could always go a less invasive route.

or cut your hair short and then you can change your mind with less impunity. : )

but it's still supercute.
