I prefer Rolaids but that is just me. You should get a real life instead of your imaginary one at CC.
what did you honestly expect with this thread?

what i read sounds like something i'd expect from a dating service's brochure.

what were you looking for? women here to come and apply for a vacancy? i'm sorry, but this isn't a dating web site.

perhaps i was harsh in my sarcasm, but this kind of post isn't ever going to invite a warm reception. i'm sorry if you were offended by my words.

i hope you find who you're looking for.

I am sorry. Truthfully, I really didn't expect anything to come out of my thread but it was quite educational. I did not mean what I said about you. Please forgive me. My wife died a couple months ago at the age of 59. I am not really looking to replace her, just a little lonely. I am the one that needs to get a life.

Yes he is, but it's only for basement dwelling video gamers
I perceive that ye jest about your friend.

However a Basement Dwelling Video Gamer Dating Website sounds like a pretty lucrative business idea to me lol.

Who is the Cyber Cat? Sorry, I don't use on-line dating services. I just thought I would start my own service. Today the service is free of charge - tomorrow I raise the price. No, it's not really awkward, a little forward, perhaps...

Cypher Cat was a guy who was here for awhile, he was quite a character. He got banned for some reason I'm not aware of but it's a shame, he had a unique personality and his posts always cracked me up. Earlier, I was actually referencing a thread he posted, it was called "I want to help you basement dwelling video gamer".

I actually prefer these types of guys. They dislike the sun as much as I do.
They are highly committed to their gaming. That level of commitment takes a load off of me .. I would only have to be there HALF the time and I wouldn't need to worry about him going elsewhere for entertainment, it's all on his hard drive or nearest internet connection. I could share with a video game. I did it for nearly 10 years and didn't even realize i was in competition.

No need to worry about having to places or go do things. (I hate going places and doing things.. I'd rather stay home) I like the idea of going out at like midnight and staying late to be the first in line to buy a new game or venture out to some -bronycon or other convention in the area.. sure dress up.. I'm good with standing next to Darth Vader or Kakashi Hatake.
I'd rather meet in some far out wilderness in Runescape to sell my Rune Armor than meet out in some hot bug infested real life forest with some survivalist.

I dunno I think these basement dwellers get a bad rap. Some people adore them and their Cheetos with ranch dressing.... That said I'm not a fan of Mustaches or wild growing facial hair.. so the I think they are called Mutton chops? yeah.. .no. if your face looks like a latch hook disaster I might request you wear the Darth Vader Helmet at all times.

Tourist,

Welcome to ChristianChat.com.

I'm sorry for the loss of your dear wife. May the Lord Jesus continue to comfort you in your life's endeavors.

As you may know by now, this website is really an international gathering of funny-N-jolly Christians online. We have come to learn from one another; pray for one another...

CC is not a "dating site," yet in the process of Christian fellowship, friendships are built on CC and some of those friendships have continued into marriage. The Lord is good! :)

The Lord is always good. I am not really planning on dating anytime soon but will leave matter in God's capable hands. I met my late wife 12 years ago on Romance Christian Singles on AOL. Beautiful spiritual woman! Right now I am just lonely. I believe that there are a lot of lonely people here. Thank you for your kind words and God bless you.

Not sarcastic, just saying that YOU also make it happen Bro...You go after it... YOU follow Gods leading and don't expect him to do all the work.
He may provide and open the doors, but it takes ones own effort in cooperation with God in his will.

One doesn't just wait for something to fall in their lap even though God CAN make that happen. (He often doesn't)
Throughout the bible we see the people used by God who accomplished anything did so with the very same fervent dedication and devotion as any person intent on achieving any goal.
100%..... not 50 or 70 or even 90 and as if God is expected to pick up any slack.
The difference between a believer and the world is a believer being in Gods favor.

Don't believe for a second that God will pick up the slack as He requires his humble servant to give a 100% effort. I do believe however that He sometimes cleans up any spills along the way because He is a loving and compassionate God. You make an excellent point.

I'll second the welcome to CC. And truly sorry for your loss and the difficult struggle to readjust to a single life that you are having. Don't be too hard on yourself while you need to grieve and process the loss, and we're all here to help you through the rougher patches. Like Job, Naomi, and others in the Bible may you see God's goodness and blessing in your life in the days ahead.
