I had an abortion. I've had to live with that for over 20 years. I thought it was the right thing to do at the time as my doctor said it was because i was severely depressed. My doctor was wrong. This was in the 80's and they didnt offer me other "pro life" resources, I was alone. I killed my child. Now that I have children the impact of that resonates in my heart. I finally stopped letting satan call me a murder and understand that the blood of the Lamb is for all of my sins, not just the minor ones. I would recommend anyone considering it pm me & we will talk. I wish I would have made a different decision. As far as the rape goes... you dont just deal with that... later you deal with the murder of your child. You sugar coat it at the time with words like its not a baby until so many months... but deep down you know differently. It was hard for me to see one cc members old avatar (was an aborted fetus) cause its like a punch in the face every time i'd see it... I DID THAT!! but thanks be to my Lord thanks be to my Lord thanks be to my Lord who was beat so badly and nailed to that cross for my black soul now pure as snow.
Awww {{{imoss}}} I hope things are good now. :( Look at it from the bright side, you have boo now and you love him! :D

So let me ask you a question...

A doctor has two patients come into an ER emergency room with a pole that has impaled both people. They are both still living, but removing the obstruction in one patient, will kill the other? What choice would you make? (True example from an ER doctor, who says his mandate is to save a life.)

Yes, abortion is wrong, but are there not circumstances that physicians are forced as above, to save one life at the expense of another? For example, save the child's life at the expense of the mother's life, or vice versa. We are so quick to say that this is a "black and white" issue...the choice to abort a child is wrong, that choice is wrong, but circumstances don't always comply to our black and white theories!!

Just some thoughts......

Firstly i would definitly save one than have both die - thats question is a wee bit silly in my mind. I was pritty much taught that when i started going to early medical classes - i go to college i am 14, but i want to be a doctor, and one of the first topics was dealing with dieing pateints and such ect ect...

Sometimes in life there are those choices, but how often do they happen probably not 1/500,000.

As for saving the mother for the child, I know someone who wished she saved the child instead of her, just because she couldnt live with the guilt of having killed an innocent defensless child.

Its not a black and white issue , ur right, its the issue of having sex and getting rid of any responsibility that may be the result of that, which is an innocent child in which God has blessed you with.

I would definitly die and have my child live, i would leave my husband with a child, and if hes' dead, that one of my many brothers could have the child, or even my parents.
God Bless

Im am against abortion UNLESS its rape OR the baby is going to be born with Aids, or some bad disease or illness & you dont want him/her sufforing then i dont blame them & i cant say they are bad people.
BUT at the same time i believe we should ask God to please take the baby with him instead of them growing up sufforing of AIDS & so on, Also ask for forgiveness.
If your raped then its good to start praying to God for you not to get pregnant, day & night or everyday that you dont get pregnant, we should rely on him =). & if you do end up pregnant Maybe adoption is the best choice, someone who cant have kids may want to adopt a baby... since most people like to adopt babies or little ones.

As for me honestly i dont think i can get abortion, to much ouchy for that sucking machine & then i would feel like i murdered someone.
Would not be able to be at peace & handle God being mad at me.

I think it would not be fair for the child if you choose to die while giving birth. Just feel that i should state my opinion here but Think about the child, sometimes kids or others make fun of that child & call them a monster or murdered, they tell them "You killed your mother by being born" the kid is small so ofcourse they are going to feel that way, & some just simply feel that way while growing up they feel that its their fault their mom is dead ESPECIALLY if they have other brother & sisters, they feel like they took their brother & sisters mother.
Its a hard choice but if i had a kid & was about to have another one then they told me, you have to pick either you die so the unborn baby can survive or you let the unborn baby die i would pick the baby die, YES it can sound cruel & selfish to some but i cant leave a child who is still small alone with a father alone & then bring a baby into this world feeling like its their fault & they are a murder.
Most Kids need their mother & father there while growing up. what if they fall into the wrong hands or someone who wont teach them about God?

Having chromosons to give it fingerprints and actually having fingerprints as you claimed, are obviously two different things. A fetus (and it's called that because it isn't technically a baby yet) doesn't even have fingers at 1 week (try 1-2 months).

Its just a ball of cells until about the one month mark, after four weeks of gestation is when this ball of cells starts to form into a baby. Not until 3 months are fingertips really evident. At one month snail, Nothing of these cells has even formed yet. It still is literally just a ball of cells. At 2 months is when it somewhat starts to look like a baby although it still has a tail and is in the shape of a C with its back growing faster than its front. Where are you getting your information snail??????

If i may also add that a babys fingerprints are not developing until about the four month mark, and snail most doctors or those in the medical profession call it a fetus up until the six month mark even though it has a heart beat before then, is distinctly male or female, and has a chance of surviving outside the womb.

Yes thats why I stressed the word fetus in my post, rather than baby as Kathleen did. I didn't even study biology and I know that.

Well at 1 week it's technically still an embryo. How can you call the scientific community silly? You need to learn respect for the scientists.

I know but I'm talking about 1 week that is the topic of conversation. And it's called an embryo until the end of 2 months, not fetus.

Sorry , sub-topic of when fingerprints grow. There's one thing that really harms the anti-abortion argument and that's believing and giving false information. I bet the fetal pictures kathleen presented were also fakes, it is well known there are fake abortion pictures circulating on the internet, most are not abortions at all.
