I was thinking either Methodist, Baptist, or Lutheran. Im confused on which one to choose. I believe in Faith alone saves us, sola scriptura, immortality of the soul, literal hell and heaven, and Jesus is present in the Eucharist and of course the Holy Trinity.

Any suggestions, no Calvinist Churches please and thanks. (PS im new and IDK if this is the right forum)
I've been looking for a perfect church for the last 43 years, and every time I walk into one I see imperfection. Maybe it was perfect before I got there, but I ruin things. LOL:rolleyes:

I am not a member of any church, group, sect, cult, gang, club, organization, etc. No church thus far that I have found, teaches the truth. I do not attend any church. All churches have their own little "gotchas" that lure people into them one way or another. All should be called the "Church of the path of least resistance" For anything goes now days. I stick to what the bible and Christ teach from their lips, and I do not care what man says.
so do you not come under any authority yourself, are you your own authority. do you find this method of christian living biblical. would you belong to a church if you found 1 that agreed with you...do you see an inherent problem with this attitude causing the division of the church from the earliest times

At least the calvinst churches are truly reformed,
unlike the half catholic lutherans.

unfortunately,

the more you sincerely search and study the scriptures,
the harder it will become to find a church that will
make you feel like you belong.

I am a reformed baptist myself (reformed as in I left the church) went to many different types. fundy's indy's southern etc etc.. they are prety much all the same from what I see, good and bad in all three.

I now go to a non denominational. we have left the tradition, ceremony, and things which i feel just make people think they are godly, and have turned our attention to scripture. growth, discipleship. training, growing, evangelism, serving. etc.

to me this church more resembles the church of the 1st century than any denomination i ever went to. and I have visited most.

Yes yogo! Jesus is present in the Eucharist!

But neither the Methodist's, Baptist's, nor Lutheran's have the Eucharist. The Eucharist is (always has been) in the Catholic Church. The One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, founded in the time of Christ by Christ himself.
So if you believe in the Real Presence of our Lord in the Eucharist (praise God) then the only place to receive the most precious body and blood of our Lord in the Eucharist is in the Catholic Church.

Also, Paul never told the 7 churches to follow p[eter

also
Peter was MARRIED

also
Peter was an erring hypocrite
also
Peter tried to get everyone to live like the Jews, you sure you want him as your popo?
Gal 2:11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Gal 2:12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
Gal 2:13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
Gal 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

also
Mat 8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

also
papacy means father Jesus taught us not to call any man on earth father
Mat 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

also
Peter said we should NOT FOLLOW MEN like the popo
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Papacy means “Father”: Jesus said: “Call no man
your father upon the earth, for one is your father, who is in
heaven.” Matthew 23:9.

When Peter denied the word of God, Jesus
rebuked him for denying the faith of Jesus: Jesus
said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan; you are an offense
unto me, for you savor not the things that be of God, but
those that be of men.” Matthew 16:23.

also

Peter taught us not to follow any man on
earth, but, instead, that we can be born again
into the kingdom of God by the word of God
alone, which “word of God” the papacy rejects:
“Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, ‘We
ought to obey God rather than men.’” Acts 5:29. Peter said
that we are “being born again. . . by the word of God, who
lives and abides forever.” 1 Peter 1:23.

also

Peter did not allow anyone to worship him:
“And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell
down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter took him up,
saying, ‘Stand up; I myself, also, am a man.’” Acts 10:25,
26.

also

Through a leap of faith in themselves, Catholicism
links itself to Peter, but Jesus said to
those who claimed to be Abraham’s descendants:
“If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works
of Abraham.” John 8:39. What were the works of Abraham?
“Abraham obeyed my voice, kept my charge, my commandments,
my statutes, and my laws.” Genesis 26:5. If the
papacy was truly Peter’s children, they “would do the works
of” Peter, and be “born again by the word of God,” instead
of rejecting “the word of God.” 1 Peter 1:23; John 3:7.

also

The papacy claims that his priests have the
ability to forgive sins: “But there were certain of the
scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts: ‘Why
does this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive
sins, but God only?’” Jesus said: “You may know that the
son of man [“God with us”] has power on earth to forgive
sins.” Mark 2:7, 10. God alone truly can forgive sins, because
God alone can read the heart: “For the Eternal Creator
[“God with us”] sees not as man sees, for man looks on the
outward appearance, but the Eternal Creator looks on the
heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7. “All power has been given unto me
[Jesus, not the papacy] in heaven and in earth.” Matthew
28:18.

also

Professing infallibility, the papacy claims the right to
change the law of God to suit his own purpose, changing the
seventh-day Sabbath to the first-day Sunday of Babylonian sun
worship idolatry. By doing this he exalts himself above
God, and thus infers that God is fallible.

“I saw a woman [a church] sit upon a scarlet-colored
beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and
ten horns.” (Revelation 17:3.) “The seven heads are seven
mountains on which the woman sits.” (Revelation 17:9.) Rome
sits upon those seven hills. God’s true church is “the woman”
whom Satan “went to make war with the remnant of her
seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:17.) The “woman”
church is made up of “saints” “who keep the commandments
of God and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12.)

Since the papacy has annulled the first three commandments of God
and changed the fourth commandment of God from the seventh-day to the first day of the week, the “woman” church
who sits upon a “scarlet colored beast” is an apostate church. “In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines
the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:9.)
These Latin words, vicarius filii dei, are not blasphemous
if the person claiming them followed Jesus and kept the commandments

those who break the commandments and claim vicarius filii dei are blasphemers/

NONE!

What does God's Word say about denominations? What does the fact that there are over 40,000 Christian denominations say about the health of the Body? And what is God's prophetic command to every member of His body who is part of a denomination today?

Join Monica Dennington as she goes straight to the Bible to find out how God plans to demolish denominations, and to hear the prophetic instruction of the Lord to the Body of Christ on October 5, 2011.

The best denomination is this. and you can't get this info anywhere else and it's free ( just pay processing and handling $50).

Just messing around, I don't care what name is on the sign. If they preach the cross on a regular basis and people are getting saved on a regular basis and healed and set free. Then that's the best one.
