Actually I am feeding her. I am feeding her cookies from the Chunky Chips Ahoy bag I saved from my house fire (see joke above). My "chocolate prioritizing" paid off after all.
You said the cookies just fell on a pile of ashes when you were getting them for me....:(

But looking on the bright side, at least the cookies have been fortified? burnt wood, metal and concrete residue are good for the body, right???

I know a woman is Christian enough for me when......................... she accepts burnt Chocolate Chip Cookies from me and lets me eat the bag that didn't get burned in the fire!!!

It would be great to find some who's a true Christian :) someone who we both can attend church and both learn about The Lord some one who's a good influence and with a heart not any heart but a good heart!, someone who will bring postive changes in my life someone I can share with connect with and most important communicate with and some one who Loves God.! I know I'm only 20 and should probably be patience on this but sometimes I feel like a lost of hope because of my generation and just how guy can be but I know god will bring me him when the time is right

It is all matters when you know it. God will tell you who you should marry to. You need to pray and fast. Must I remind you as I told you in another post my testimony of how it really works? FAST and NOT thinking about the opposite gender BUT know you want to marry somebody. When you do, stay away from the opposite gender like a monk would do but do your daily lives you should be doing such as reading bible, sleep, awake, eat, work, etc.. not up in the mountains! Ha ha ha. No.

Be yourself when you do fast. God will test you. You want to know how? Read Genesis chapter 24 in its entirely.

You need to pray for CLUES! I got my clues. I know what my bride is like. I know now what I am seeking for.

Yes, she is strong Spiritually, seen her holding Bible.. Has that Silver Cross necklace, and I have a whole lot more clues about her. AND a TIME LINE! Should be any day now.

For you, I also would recommend you to observe their walk with the LORD. Test by their Fruits of the Spirit. Know how faithful she is.

Here is a secret how I test the ladies. Surprise!! I am very faithful but when I meet the ladies on here or in person or any places, I keep my faith to my chest and see how they serve God. I question by seeing if they uses God's word often or not. Does she mentioned the verses? Does she show the Proverbs 31 woman I am expecting? Does she wants to pray with me? To me, there is someone who has it all in here and likely she is a well..no offense, "Candidate" to be my potential bride. Saying things and doing things you are supposed to do together for God is two different things. Example- when you chat in IM or on cam, or whatever on here or cell phone, does she say, "Lets pray now.. Heavenly Father..." or does she say, "I will pray for you when I get off the phone (or the net).. Does she really pray or just a bag full of hot air? You need to see action speaks louder than words. That is important.

There are other personal factors I also have to count in that are non-faith such as I question them if they can relocate? Can they bear children? Can they use American Sign Language? Can she set herself to my level since I am Deaf?

I will never name who but I can tell you one example from here that she needs to focus on more. She really liked me and I did too but she kept forgetting that I am Deaf and she use audio in chat room and leave without typing anything to me in PM. That was an insulting. If she really cares about me, she would not do that. I stopped talking with her.

See, you can not just focus on how much faith she has. You have weight factors on everything. Like that Jeep commercial song, "I live, I ride, I am Jeep!" OK, let me twist that a little bit.. You have to live, breath, and do things with the potential mate you are with. Like that woman who appeared to be a match to what God showed me but it was not her because I had to observe her real hard and pay attention to her kindness and setting down to my level of needs. She did not so she was not the one. I know she is out there..

The wording I said live does not mean living with her.. I meant you have to spend time with her. That is what really means. Like at church or fellowship you spend time with her. You also would have maybe a Wednesday evening church dinner before Bible Study, you sit with her. I knew someone from church did that and she sat with me. Years later, she finally told me she did that because she liked me. I did not realize why she did that but she was no way match to whom God wanted me and she was totally different than I was expecting from God. But you get the point. When you know there is right one who is with you, you will know. Or not.

I could go on and preach for an hour on this and this is Sunday morning! I am exhausted from being up late last night to pack up and get ready for my trip to see my father tomorrow morning..

Anyway, I wrote my book, "Cory's Guide: How to Find Your Mate The Lord's Way." That book is a how-to book on finding someone. I recommend that book but I have a few copies left.. It featured Cory Big Heart. A lot of illustrations.. as they say, "A picture is worth a 1000 words."

The book deals similar to this subject. For example, on one page it speaks of a question for you to answer and its so easy. A church or a bar? It explains the pros and cons between the two. I do not mean the negatives on church.. the negative is on the bar and church has positive views. In this case, I was talking about how easy a Christian who have hard time looking for someone would go to a bar and marry someone. I know someone did that and it was a huge mistake of his and he ended up in divorce. I warned him not to do that but he did it anyway. Now he is married to a true Christian woman and I like her better than his ex-wife.

True the Believers are a little difficult to find someone because of so much relying on "Waiting on the Lord." Yes, I understand. But to me, it also means "Bug off." Just do not let that bothers you. Sometimes you have to be a little open to allow someone to like you and fall in love with you.

Look what the Bible tells you. You know that God allows speed dating and marry just like that? If God tells you to marry someone, MARRY someone NOW. Why wait a year for? Oh, you gotta get that 1000 dollars wedding dress! OH! You gotta get that most fancy expensive three-tier cake you love that is a carrot cake... OH! You gotta get your grand aunt to be listed because your mom tells you to add her or she will hate you for not inviting her to the wedding! Weddings today has gone materialism. Like Christmas (I am a believer that Jesus was really born on the Fest of Tabernacles but I am NOT a Mormon), weddings is more of a show and because of the US Government and perhaps most governments today requires you be wed by the church pastor or a government official (usually a judge but not always) so you can have your marriage license or certificate for LEGAL reasons ONLY!!

Try elope! Next one I am having is to elope, period. You also do not need best man and maid of honor at all (in NYS, you do not need to. Just witnesses you have invited to watch you both wed. My brother did that and I did not know that. He told me that. Wow! That is something no one knew.

Please, do not be cheap by marrying at a wedding chapel of love in Vegas officiated by an Elvis impersonator!

You proposed, you are married when she says, "Yes!" Now, looking at this view. When you asked Jesus to save you by surrendering your life, remember that Jesus is the groom, you are the bride. Of course Jesus came FIRST to die on the Cross, buried, risen from dead.. He came and ASKED us first as he was proposing us. Like He said to Peter, "Follow Me." Peter knew and accepted. I am sure he must have said something like, "Yes, Sir! I will!" That was a proposal.

Did Peter knew Jesus? Maybe but perhaps likely he heard of Jesus.

When we are saved by grace when we are on earth as part of your testimony of Salvation, you are already engaged to wed.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb... where is the wedding in the Upper Room? None. Just the supper! That is, in our modern view on earth after the wedding of a couple: the reception!

Well, not only that, Isaac and Rebekah, Ruth and Boaz... Jesus and the Church (us).. What does this means?

When you know that is the person, MARRY the person right away. Why wait?

Donte es mi esposa?? Where is my bride? ;) (I apologize for lengthy comment!)

I would pay attention on the way she/he uses money? That is quite connected to selfgiving and service.

(Shhh! keep it low) ;)

It seems a though most people's posts I have read have a pretty practical view of a qualified Christian. I understand that some people can be scarred from church politics and things that they have seen from the corporate church model, but I believe we need Christians around us or we will eventually fall. I don't think man is strong enough alone. We are too imperfect. The church I belong to are among the most serious of Christians, and most people do not actually pick up their Bible every single day, however at least a few times per week. At minimum, twice a week. I do a morning meditation most mornings, and would like to meet someone who will do those with me and pray together morning and night, go to church with me, and participate in some sort of outreach. Basic core beliefs would be waiting until marriage until intercourse, and then some fruits of the spirit and a desire to improve on them. I respect someone who delves into obeying even the most gray of areas like telling a sarcastic joke, but I probably would not be compatible with someone who is overly Pharisitical. Maybe I am still young and still growing, but some things I am just not ready to let go of yet. I think there are some things that we can let go of and accept some negatives in others as long as they are not deal breakers. There is no perfect person out there.

More importantly ( am I Christian enough-am I ready-what do I have to offer )
I have been in a relationship for a couple years plus now.
It was born out of a friendship then grew into something more loving and substantial.
It started developing because we shared the same Christian beliefs on matters that counted; such as salvation etc.
I was not looking for anything more at the onset of our friendship and frankly neither was he.
Over time as we laughed, prayed, and cried together we learned more about each other; in and of itself it grew us closer together. We found that as we shared; we had more and more in common. We had life's little and precious things in common.
Have we disagreed? sure. Have we became angry and hurt with one another? sure.
Will it happen again? yes. Why? because those are living experiences and we are not perfect.
What I believe is that we were brought together by The Lord Jesus. I believe that it is a miracle which has not gone unnoticed. It is an opportunity that was not missed.
I believe that a permanent relationship can only work with commitment to one another and communication.
I do not mean talking at or talking down to. I believe that explaining a statement or a comment or a view if it is necessary. I believe that the word ( you ) did or said should never be used. I know Jesus does not keep a record of my wrongs so what entitles me to keep a record of someone else's wrongs? nothing. One thing we both believe is that there is nothing worse than a lie. Why lie when telling the truth is easier. Did I do it or say it? The answer is yes or no.
The other thing is that even well meaning people will want to encroach on a relationship; whether it be a friendship-an engagement-or a marriage. Don't let it happen. If you did-stop it.
Commitment is a head, and, as well as a heart thing. It is a conscious decision. It is in spite of any obstacles. It was born out of and foremost a commitment to Jesus. As scripture says " I can love because Jesus first loved me ".
What is important to me and something I will reciprocate is that " I will never walk behind or in front of-but always next to".
Whether it be a friendship or a marriage; it takes two people walking forward together. It might feel like you are trudging forward in cement booties at times while one or the other is encouraging; but it is always together.
Has he asked me to marry him? yes. Am I going to marry him? yes.
Now we are both on a path that will lead us to a lifetime commitment-and personal growth together. We both believe that and our hope is in Jesus.

I know a woman is Christian enough for me when..................

1. When I do something wrong against her, I tell her she is to forgive me 77 x 7 times, and by the time she figures out how much that is, she has forgotten what I did wrong!!!

2. When the pastor says "Let us look at the book of Matthew" she then takes out a photo album of my baby pictures and shows it off to the people sitting in our pew!!!

3. I ask her to autograph my Study Bible, but instead of writing her name, she writes out a complex theological thesis concerning the nature of the Greek term "Logos" at the beginning of John 1:1, and how it relates to the interpersonal relationship between the three persons in the Trinity (I'm not asking too much with that one, am I???).

Actually Fenner, we Canadians sent Justin's mom to you guys in the U.S. as well (along with all his relatives). We had a nation wide vote, and declared that "All Things Beiber Must Go".

We don't want future generations to be able to trace his origins back to us here in Canada.
